My shoulder was uncomfortable in its sling, and it throbbed slightly when I opened the door to the apartment. I stepped inside, looking around for Tim.
Instead I saw a topless brunette with him underneath.
His cheeks were red; I didn't know if it was of embarrassment or because of the physical activity. His eyes, however, were definitely shameful.
Mine were filled with tears. His name came out of my mouth in a croak.
"Olivia, I-"
I shoved my knuckles in my mouth, biting down hard to suppress what was coming up; a mix of screams and vomit and obscenities and despair. I heard myself whine pitifully, before I spun on my heels and ran out the door.
