After Zhongli made it to Dilucs home he brought him to his room as Xiao and Venti went to get the help of the Knights of Favonius
Once Jean found out she quickly assigned people to assist Diluc those people being Albedo,Sucrose,Kaeya,and Herself
Once they all made it there Diluc was already passed out due to loss of blood and the amount of pain he was in
Albedo and Sucrose cleared the room of everyone and began to prepare to help Diluc once they had all there resources they began to start the surgery they started off with inserting a needle into the wound to numb it and then they cleaned it up so it wouldn't get invected and then began to sew it up very slowly taking there time to make sure there we're no openings once they finished they wrapped it multiple times to stop the bleeding and wrapped his entire waist since there were other scratches in the same area once they finished that they attached him to a blood transplant in his arm due to the lost of so much blood
Albedo and Sucrose then took a deep sigh
A "Ok..the surgery is finished.We should inform the others."
S "Ok but..Mr.Albedo..d-do you think,he's gonna be ok?This is one of the biggest wounds Ive ever seen and in one of the worst places,his intestines.If this surgery went wrong in any way..he could die."
A "Yes..I know Sucrose.But this is all we can do with our limited resources..so now we can only hope for the best."
Sucrose nodded and made her way to the door and so did Albedo so they can tell the others
:Back with everyone outside the room:
Zhongli was pacing back in forth worried as everyone tried to calm him down
K "Zhongli..please calm down."
Z "Hm..o-oh!Im fine,im fine..im calm."
X "Zhongli.."
Zhongli sighed and began to pace again without even realizing Kaeya then getting up from his chair infront of Zhongli
K "Zhongli..Diluc is going to be fine..Ok?Hes my brother and I know him best and you can trust me when I say..he is strong.And he's going to fight this,I promise you."
Z "Mm..yes "You promise" you say..Diluc also promised he would be fine...yet look at what happen to him.Promises like those aren't always able to be a wkept..so maybe watch the next time you make such a strong promise like this."
K "W-What?-"
Before Kaeya could continue Albedo and Sucrose came in and interrupted them
A "Greetings.We have some news."
Z "What is it?!How did the surgery go!?Is Diluc ok?!
K "Zhongli."
Z "Apologies.."
J "Its ok Zhongli..anyways what is it Albedo?"
A "Well the surgery went well..but due to limited resources we are not 100% sure..that.."
S "T-That..he will survive."
Z "...."
K "What?.."
A "This is why we will be assigning people to constantly monitor him and give hourly results on his progress.Zhongli,would you like to be one of those people?"
Z "Y-Yes...I would."
A "Perfect.I will also be assigning myself,Kaeya,Sucrose,and Jean to be monotoring him as well."
Everyone nodded
A "Since its the first day he won't be able to move very much at all but Zhongli will be monitoring him first."
Albedo thought
A "*Seems like he really needs this..both of them..*"
A "Ok everyone we should all begin making our way home.You and Diluc have all of our condolences."
Z "Thank..all.For everything."
S "Its no problem at all.."
A "Your welcome."
And Kaeya and Jean nodded
Everyone then said there goodbyes and began to make there way home
After Zhongli hesitantly walked into Dilucs room and shut the door behind him but he just stood there not even being able to talk
But after standing there for a bit he quietly walked up to Diluc and sat beside him and hesitantly grabbed Diluc's hand and held it slightly gripping it and sighing
Though Diluc was still unconscious Zhongli spoke to him
Z "*Sigh* You promised..you promised..you wouldn't get hurt.Why didn't you tell me earlier..why didn't you ask for help.Those questions circle in my head over and over.Diluc..I..care about you..a lot..and you pushing yourself like this worries me Diluc.I don't want to lose you too I can't go through that again."
D "....I-I..Im sorry."
Z "What?..Diluc you shouldn't be awake right now..you need to rest."
Zhongli said looking away slightly embarrassed
D "..Zhongli..look at me..please."
Z "...How much did you hear."
Zhongli said while looking back at Diluc slowly
D "Not..a lot..but enough."
Z "...."
D "Zhongli I..im..sorry I put..so much worry on you."
Diluc slowly but weakly reached out his hand towards Zhonglis face as Zhongli hesitantly leaned in for Diluc to cradle his face
Z "..*sigh*..Diluc.."
D "I get it..if you don't want to..talk to me...or forgive me-hm?!"
Zhongli grabbed Diluc's hand and held it tight as he brought it down from his face to kiss Diluc and then backed up from him
D "Zhongli..I-"
Zhongli went in for a light hug so he wouldn't hurt Diluc
Z "Never.Do this.Again."
Diluc slightly snickered and said
D "I won't.."
Z "Diluc please be more careful.."
D "...."
Z "...Get some rest ok..im going to have to monitor you."
Diluc nodded
Zhongli then sat down in a chair Diluc had in his room then brought out papers writing Diluc's progress on it
D "Are you actually..going to just sit there...Your acting like im sickly..you can come on the bed with me you know.."
Z "..Diluc please.Ok.Don't do this right now."
D "Fine.Im going to..walk over there to you then."
Z "Diluc don't!"
Zhongli yelled out getting up from his seat
D "Im just joking...don't worry."
Z "*Sigh of relief*"
D "But..you deserve to be comfortable too..its..the least I could do...for putting you through this."
Z "Don't say that..ok.Your in a lot of pain.I will be fine."
D "No..no its not..I promised you..I would be fine.And I broke it."
Z "Don't be so hard on yourself..it was a accident."
D "I bet..not eating..at all..didn't help that "accident"either...did it?"
Z "..What?Is that why you weren't fighting with your full strength?"
Zhongli said while sitting at the edge of the bed
D "...."
Z "Was it because of your hangover...is that why you didn't eat?"
D "Yes..I..I wish I had just...listened to you..and not of come..curse my stubbornness.."
Z "..Ah-well..you are quite stubborn."
Zhongli said while slowly getting closer to Diluc and moving hair out of Dilucs face so he could lightly stroke Diluc's face
D "Hey..you weren't supposed..to agree.."
Zhongli snickered as he kissed Diluc cheek and said
Z "Im just being honest."
Zhongli said while shooting Diluc a smile
Z "But Diluc...something I don't get is why didn't you tell me you were felt weak?I could of handled it."
D "Because...I didn't want to..worry you...more then I already did."
Z "Well..that didn't go your way,did it."
D "Nope cause..look at me..laying in my bed..wrapped in bandages..with a bunch of stitches over my organs..which has caused permanent damage..to my body."
Z "...Yea."
D "....."
Z "Well..all I know is your going to heal.And be a even better Diluc then before.Your going to survive Diluc.I know it."
Diluc hesitantly nodded
Zhongli then wrote the last of Diluc's progress for the rest of the night then got up kissed Diluc on the forehead and said
Z "Goodnight Diluc.Get some rest.Albedo will be monitoring you tomorrow morning."
D "Goodnight Zhongli..thank you."
Zhongli nodded and left Diluc's room and shut the door behind him as Diluc went to sleep
