Asta: oh magna by the way after the attack on the capital their was a specula distinguished service ceremony and I guess I did ok because they made me a junior magic knight third class
Magna and luck: what?!

Ryu facepalms
Yami: how do not know this there's a knights ranking system you two haven't ranked up since you joined so your both still junior magic knight fifth class best show asta some respect

Yami: oh yeah and finally Ryu here is an intermediate magic knight second class
Magna almost faints while luck looks even more excited
Ryu: that's right my rank is the highest in the squad
Charmy is still dancing magna is on the floor mumbling and luck looks like he's about to hyperventilate from laughter
Yami: anyway good job out there kid
Asta: but what if captain Fuegoleon never wakes up
Ryu: hey I told this too Leo Fuegoleon is one of the strongest and most stubborn people in this kingdom there is no way in hell he will die that easily
Yami: he'll probably just wake up even stronger than he was before

Asta: yeah your both right ok I better get back to my training so I can be all pumped up too

They go through the whole thing of finral choosing them so asta got chosen because he's a firecracker, Ryu got chosen because apparently he's famous and strong while not being someone like Yami and luck got chosen because he looks sane
Finral: alright we're all set
Asta: so wearing our robes is ok
Ryu: well yes but finral wants to make sure people know we're magic knights makes his chances of getting a girl higher even though it would still be quite low

Ryu: I'm just speaking mathematically because I've seen you try too hook up with about 100+ different women and all of them have given you a resounding no
Asta: wow finral is so persistent
Ryu: I guess you could call him that resilient as well

They leave Noelle follows them

Ryu thoughts: wow she is seriously obsessed at this point I mean I guess I ship it but she needs to calm down

They go through the while introduction thing
Ryu: the blond and black haired girls seem boring and only after money but the long red hair seems interesting
Ryu then notices Noelle in her new outfit
Ryu: ok seriously 😐
(If you haven't already realised I'm not sure how I'm gonna do romance for Ryu but I've got two people in mind but ryu isn't very interested in that at least not right now he'd more want someone for being close too rather than the other thing)
Ryu then here's Sekke talking
Ryu; how long has he been here
He does his whole lie as you know
Sekke: hey you there get me another drink at once
Noelle them blasts water at him
Ryu: you know she really has changed I definitely like her more now
Ryu walks over to Noelle
Ryu: nice one that bug really deserved it
Noelle: I'm not going to disagree with you there thank you
Ryu just watches asta hit it off with Rebecca as they talk about sibling and such (by the way I totally agree they annoy when there around but when there gone you miss them plus it gets really boring without them)
Ryu; huh learning something new about my squad-mate I guess the black bulls have been my siblings and I can underhand that
Noelle just looks at ryu annoyed
Noelle: how can you be supporting this
Ryu; if you want to talk to asta go and do it but it looks like he's having fun
Noelle shuts up
Ryu notices the big drunk guy
Ryu: I know his type
Taps on the shoulder
Ryu: hey
Drunk: what do you want I was about to go and score myself a date with that girl that's always with a bunch of brats, and deal with that runty magic knight
Ryu: yeah that's not happening
Drunk: well what are you going to do to me runt

Grabs his arm and flips the guy over his shoulder sending him crashing into the wall
Asta: why'd you do that
Ryu: because he deserved it he was about to come and harass you two so I decided to step in didn't mean to make so much if a scene though
Asta: thanks ryu
Rebecca: yeah thank you
Rebbeca and asta leave
Finral: rejected
Ryu just laughs at this
Ryu: hey finral I'm gonna stick around town for a while keep and eye on asta
Finral; alright have fun

Ok that's a rap this chapter was lame but I wanted to get it out of the way before the good stuff
Sorry I didn't update as much as I said I would but I had a lot to do with family anyway
