Starting out my day
with a cup of coffee on my table.
Having about a million things to do
Ticking off tasks done yesterday
Creating new ones at the moment.
Feeling the rush of goodness
after my first sip,
of my cup of gold
giving me life.
Pulling myself to work,
having coffee with one hand
and confidence in the other
with no helping hands.
Well, you know...
Then slipping into the noon
I know I'll be exhausted soon.
And in the evening, just before the moon
you come back just like,
a lifejacket filled with cream and sugar.
To revive me up,
summoning myself to go
for another stride of chores and,
Bam! The day is over.
