I turned the door handle and pushed opened the door to see the hourglass shaped entrance with falling sand coming down, I haven't been in Bruno's room since I was 15 so I was nervous of what we would discover, my blonde hair was still on the stairs so I grabbed a handful and pulled it up.
"Casita, can you turn off the sand" Mirabel said looking backwards "Its impossible" I said as the floor tiles began rumbling at the door "We'll be fine, we need to do this" She said to Casita "For you, for Abuela, and maybe a little for me" Mirabel exhales
"Find the vision, save the-" I said holding my niece hand using the other to cover my head as soon as we stepped out we slid down the sand as scream filled the room, my grip to Mirabel loosened
I sat up as soon as I got to the bottom spat the sand out and started patting the sand from my hair and dress "Mirabel" I yelled digging through the sand and put my hand in the sand and pulled her head out, she spits out the sand "A little help would be nice" she groaned
"I'm sorry you just..haha...look funny" I laughed falling on my back rolling around, after a few minutes of laughing I helped her out of the sand and she cleaned the sand from her glasses
We walked forward to see stairs leading all the way to the top "Wow" I heard Mirabel say, a toucan had landed on the rock next to us "Well, aren't you bombón" I said petting the toucans head as it squawks in response
"Lot of stairs but at least we'll have a friend" Mirabel said placing a hand on her hip and looking the bird as it began flying away to the top "No. He flew away immediately" she groaned
We began walking up the stairs "Welcome to the family Madrigal" she said marching up the stairs with determination
Half way up the stairs Mirabel had gotten tired "There's so many stairs in the casa Madrigal" She panted stopping for a second and turn her head in my direction "Howard you not tired" She said groaning wiping the sweat from her forehead "How else do you think I got to your tio, I'm used to walking up these" I shrugged and began walking in front of her
Moments later up more stairs Mirabel had gotten slower "You think there would be another way to" she a took a breath in "Get so high 'cause we're magic, but no. Magical how many stairs fit in here!" she yelled as it echoed
"Bruno, your room is the worse" she exclaimed as her voice cracked. Finally we made it to the top I walked up the steps completely fine as for Mirabel she crawling
She groaned in frustration seeing the huge gap to the other side, I got my hair and swung it to wrap around the rock that was hanging from the ceiling, I pulled it make sure it was safe to swing "Alright vamos" I said grabbing her she wrapped her arms around my torso as I swung to the other side and stuck the landing
She yelled in excitement and stomped her foot and rock began breaking off and fell down into the unknown darkness, we stood there waiting for it to hit the bottom, we flicked when it hit rock bottom
We slowly turned around and walked into the entrance of a tunnel that carvings of Bruno face in the wall, I walked up to one of them and touched the detail of it, the sound of something breaking made both of us jump
I ran into a glass pot that made rats come out of it and go in to Bruno carved face on the wall as we stared, the bird was sitting on my shaking the sounds of old rusted door opening as we looked at each other
The toucan immediately flew out of the tunnel trilling along the way "Quitter" we yelled in sync and walked into the room, the door had closed as I let out a gasp, the green glow was seen on the ground, I looked at the piece in front of me confused
"Mirabel did you find anything" I yelled picking up a green glowing stone "Yeah there's a bunch of green glowing stones, how about you" she yelled as I turned my head in her direction "N-Nothing at all" I lied through my teeth , I bit my bottom lip and began putting the piece I saw together hearing the cracks starting to form on the walls
Once I finished putting it together I looked at the stone and noticed it was me in wedding attire, a gasp escaped from my mouth as I began tearing up a little but quickly forced my tears back down, there was a little girl wrapped around my leg, I looked at the man who was also wearing wedding attire with a little girl wrapped around his leg and a hand placed on my stomach, my eyes trailed to his face which was smeared out "¿Quién eres?" I whispered to myself
The cave started to rumble "We have to go Mirabel" I said rushing towards her and helping her pick up the piece of the green stone and putting it in her bag, we started running to the door as rocks from the ceiling began falling almost crushing us
We dodge and jumped over rocks hoping to make it out, sand had covered half of the door and Mirabel began to bang her body on the door, I looked at her and then turned the handle and the force of the sand pushed us out, I almost fell over and quickly stood up
I notice Mirabel grip on the edge didn't last long before falling, I threw my hair down for her to grab "Mirabel hold on to my hair" I yelled as she grabbed it , I started pulling my hair up to get her back to safety
Once she was standing she quickly hugged me "Thank you tía Rosa" she cried into my shoulder I hugged her back and rubbed her head "Like I said I wouldn't let anything happen to any of you" I said kissing the top of her head

We quickly left out of Bruno's room trying to get to Miracles room but we unfortunately ran into Alma
A grunt left Alma's mouth "Where are you coming from in such a hurry?" Alma asked as Mirabel adjusted her bag "We're sorry, we were" I was cut off by Alma about to touch my hair "What is in your hair" she asked as Mirabel and I looked at each other and shook the sand out our hair
Luisa came running up the steps crying "My gift" she sobbed "I'm losing my gift!" she fried louder leaving Alma confused "What?"
"Mirabel and tía Rosa and I were having this little talk about me carrying too much so, I tried not to carry so much, but I realized it was putting me behind and I knew I was gonna let everyone down and I felt really bad so I was grabbing all the donkeys, but then when I went to throw the donkeys in the barn, they were heavy!" she rambled sobbing and running away to her room as we all watch the scene unfold
"What did you do? What did you both say to her?" Alma questioned looking disappointed "Nothing, I...I don't.." Mirabel was cut off by Alma "Mirabel, Rosa" the church bells started ringing and Alma pulled out a pocket watch to check the time "I have to go get the Guzmáns for Isabela's engagement, stay away from Luisa until I can talk to her, tonight we can't have any more problems and you're doing Mirabel stop doing it and Rosa you know better" she sternly said walking off
We looked at Luisa door that started flickering, I grabbed a strand of my hair noticing it turning brown and falling out "We have to figure out what's going on" I said showing her the brown streak of my hair "Your hair its getting worse" she gasp, we made our way to her room and closed it behind us
"I actually lied about not finding something" I confessed still holding my brown streak of hair "Wait, what?" I closed my eyes and then opened them "One of Bruno's visions was about me and I was married and even had kids but I couldn't see his face and I want to know why didn't Bruno tell me" I rambled on until I suddenly being shook violently "That's a lot to take in, but hey we'll figure it out" she said as we made our way to her room
She took out a few green stones on her on her dresser "Why am I in your vision Bruno?" she questioned the sound of thunder rumbling scared us as we both turned around quickly Mirabel hid the stones behind her back "Tía, jeez" Mirabel said
"You alright Pepa" I asked hoping she didn't hear our conversation "Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to..." she stoped talking seeing the cloud following over her head "Shoo, shoo, shoo!" she grunts pushing the cloud out the door slamming it behind her
"I just wanted to get the last of Toñito's things and then I heard the name we do not speak" she had a dark look on her face as another thunder cloud appeared over her head again and started raining, Mirabel started helping me braid my hair
"Great, now I'm thundering, and that thunder will lead to a drizzle, and drizzle will lead to a sprinkle" she flared her arms around as I stood there scared "Clear skies, clear skies, clear skies" she exhaled calming down and sitting on the floor opening a drawer "Tía Pepa? If Br-" Mirabel stops herself from saying the name "If he had a vision about someone, what would it mean for them" she said emphasizing the word 'he'
"We don't talk about Bruno" Pepa states as it starts to rain above her head "We know, it's just hypothetically, if he saw you" I said but Papa was just ignoring what I said "Rosa, Mirabel, please, we need to get ready for the Guzmáns" Pepa said swinging her arms over head to get rid of the clouds
"I just wanna know was it generally positive or, like, less positive-" I was cut off my Félix slamming the door open "It was a nightmare!" he said walking in "Felix!" Pepa scoulded scrambling to get up "Hey, she needs to know, Pepi, she needs to know" He said as she got up to his height, Mirabel had finished braiding my hair and stepped to the side
"We don't talk about Bruno" she said putting a finger inferno of Félix face "He would see something terrible and then" he started making ticking sounds "Boom! It would happen" He said getting closer to us "We don't talk about Bruno" Pepa said grabbing his shoulder back "What if you don't understand what he saw?" you could hear the worried tone in her voice "Then you better figure it out, because it was coming for you" He grabbed both our shoulders shaking us, Pepa got in the middle of us and pushed us apart
"We don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no" she sang looking at all of us
"We don't talk about Bruno, but" she began dancing with Félix as we enter a different scenery
"It was my wedding day"

"We don't talk about Bruno" Félix started twirling Mirabel as Pepa twirled me spinning us into a different scenery with Dolores
"Hey, grew to live in fear of Bruno stuttering or stumbling"

"I associate him with the sound of falling sand, ch ch ch" she sang whispering

"Always left Abuela and the family fumbling"
"Grappling with prophecies they couldn't understand, do you understand?" she sang getting closer to Mirabel, I look to second flooring to see a figure bobbing their head to the music I wiped my eyes and looked up to see the figure gone, maybe I'm just seeing things
"A seven-foot frame, rats along his back" Camilo began singing shifting into a scarier version of Bruno

"Betrothed to another It's like I hear him, now"
"Hey sis, I want not a sound out of you" Isabela sang walking off
"Um, Bruno, Yeah, about that BrunoI really need to know about Bruno, Gimme the truth and the whole truth, Bruno" Mirabel and I sang together
"Isabella, your boyfriend's here" Camilo sang transforming into Mariano
"Time for dinner"
"A seven-foot frame, rats along his back"

Mirabel and I made our way up stairs to her room, we notice Luisa door glow flickering, Mirabel looked at my hair as another strand of my hair turned brown, I looked at my hair noticing it was get shorter
We turned our heads to Luisa who was struggling to move the piano
"You telling this story or am I?"
"Óye, Mariano's on his way"
We had gotten into her rom, Mirabel dumps the glowing stones on the dresser as we began assembling it
"Bruno says, "It looks like rain""
"In doing so, he floods my brain"
"Married in a hurricane"
"he's here"
"Don't talk about Bruno, no"
I placed the final piece and it showed a picture of Mirabel outside Casita
"why did I talk about Bruno?" Mirabel sang looking down at it as her eyes widen
"Not a word about Bruno"
"We never should've brought up Bruno!" we both sang looking at each other then back down into the glowing stone
Then a knock was heard at the door...
