If we don't do something, a den like that one is gonna be on every corner on every street in the world. This is the only way.

Valentine: Like I was wrong about your mother? Look, I know you even better than you know yourself.

( They all come back to the Institute. )
Jocelyn: Rose, Clary, please let me explain.
Aldertree: Lydia.
Lydia: This wasn't my fault and you know it.
Victor: You're responsible for the actions of the Institute, are you not? Make yourself useful. Line up the witnesses.
Jocelyn: Clary. Rose. Clary, Rose, stop!
Clary: What is wrong with you? We almost had him back.
Jocelyn: You don't understand.
Clary: You're right, I don't. I don't understand why you would try to kill my brother.
Jocelyn: Because your brother, he's not who you think he is. Rose you know, please try to understand. Honey, there's still so much you don't know.
" And that was her fault, wasn't it? " Caroline said.
Clary: Oh, and whose fault is that?
Rose: I thought you would have changed. Mourning your son's loss will give you your mind back but no... You are still pathetic.
Clary: Everyone says that Valentine is the monster, but you... you just tried to murder your own son! ( Theo comes there. )
Theo: Hey, first of all you two should take a deep breath and relax. I didn't expect this from you.
Jocelyn: I want you, Clary to know I'm a victim here, too. We all are. When I was pregnant with your brother, Valentine drugged me. He did an experiment on the baby.
Clary: What?
Rose: He injected Jonathan with demon blood.
Clary: Why would he do that?
Jocelyn: He's sick. He thought demon blood would make our unborn child strong.
Clary: (SCOFFS)
Jocelyn: And it did. But it also made him... evil.
Jonathan just sighed.
Clary: No, even if that's true, Downworlders have demon blood. They're not all bad.
Jocelyn: Clary, you have no idea how much I loved your brother. He was my baby boy. You both know that right. And I didn't want to believe it until I saw what he was capable of. (SIGHS) ( She uses her rune and pulls Clary into a memory. )
(BABY FUSSING) Jocelyn: It's okay. Mommy's just cutting some pretty flowers. Okay. (GASPS) Oh. Oh, it's okay. Yeah. ( Jonathan made the flower die and his eyes turned complete black. ) Jonathan!
" Just because a flower died because of him, he was a monster, really? " Keelin said.
Jocelyn: And it wasn't the last time something like that happened. So I went to one of Idris' most powerful warlocks, Ragnor Fell. He warned me that, in the future, your brother would only leave death and destruction in his wake. ( Simon also heard their talks. )
Rosaline opens her eyes and flashes her alpha eyes. She swings her katanas and fearless rune is showed. Theodore's magical bow appears and he stretches its string forming the strength rune. Clary is seen blowing the candles on her birthday cake forming the angelic rune. Jace is seen jumping from a building with eagles surrounding him. He jumps on the ground splashing the water which forms heightened speed rune. Alec is seen a room with healing rune drawn on one of the walls. He aims his arrow. Isabelle is now shown swinging her blade forming the parabatai rune. Simon is seen wiping the blood on his lips in hotel de mort. The whole background turns black and white. Luke is seen with a wall behind him covered with runes and wolves. Magnus is drinking his cocktail. Scene splits and shows Theo and Rose using their magic and flashing their alpha eyes. Then all the runes are shown burning and Rosaline, Theo, Clary, Jace, Alec and Isabelle are shown walking and the title Shadowhunter appears with The Mortal Instruments written below. And the screen turns black.
( Rose and Theo come in Clary's room with her. )
Clary: You both knew about all this? Why didn't you tell me or Jace? At least he had a right to know.
Rose: Mommy dearest took our words.
Theo: She made us promise that we won't tell even the wind about this. ( Simon comes. )
Simon: Aldertree wants to question me again. Why would he do that?
Clary: I don't know anything. Maybe he wants you to confirm that my mother has lost her mind.
" Even I agree. " Rebekah said.
Simon: Your mom is the sanest person I know. Remember when she told me it was a bad idea to get the Champagne Enema tattoo? Or she warned you that Tommy Peterson was a total assclown?
Rose: So, you're saying that our mom's right about this?
Clary: That Jace... Jace is some kind of evil flower-killing monster that deserves a death sentence?
They chuckled at this.
Simon: No, no. (CHUCKLES) That's definitely not what I'm saying. But we did see what Jace did to that vampire before he grabbed Valentine and then disappeared. ( Rose just sighed. ) (KNOCKING ON DOOR) ( Lydia comes. )
Lydia: Aldertree's ready for you.
Simon: Can't wait. ( They left. ) (DOOR CLOSES) ( Simon reaches there. )
Aldertree: Nice to see you again, Simon.
Simon: Nice to be seen.
Aldertree: Let's discuss the vampire den, shall we?
Sion: Yes. Completely disgusting. I mean, ridiculously unsanitary. Who does that?
Aldertree: That's what I need you to find out.
Simon: Me? (CHUCKLES) I'm not exactly in on the management decisions. I'm... I'm more on the ground floor.
Aldertree: Which is exactly why I'm asking you, my friend. Right. (CHUCKLES) After the recent unrest amongst the local vamps, I can't trust my intel.
Simon: (STUTTERS) And how do you expect me to figure that out for you?
Aldertree: You seem resourceful. You'll find a way. I need answers, Simon. And if I don't get them, I might just bar all vamps... from fraternizing with their Shadowhunter friends. (RETRIEVING FOOTSTEPS)
" Again with the threating part. " Jeremy said.
( Camera focuses on Alec, who is punching a bag. Rose and Clary come there. )
Clary: Alec, are you okay?
Alec: Pretty bold of you two to show your face here.
Clary: We can explain.
Alec: Unless your explanation can bring Jace back, save it.
Rose: Alec, Jace is our brother, too.
Alec: (BREATHING HEAVILY) You barely know him. I grew up with him. I fought by his side. He's my brother. He's my best friend.
Rose: I know he is your parabatai and trust me I have gone through that feeling.
Clary: Alec... Alec, we want Jace back as much as you do. I... Rose, we are not our mother.
Alec: How well do I even know you two? I mean, you show up out of nowhere, She comes from a freakin' other world, you convince my brother, you convince me... to search for your mother. And the next thing I know, Jace is gone. And your mother is the one trying to kill him.
Clary: We had nothing to do with that, Alec. We would never hurt Jace.
Alec: ( He points towards Clary. ) Since you've arrived, you've caused nothing but problems. My family lost their birthright. Izzy was almost deruned. And now Valentine has my parabatai. And it's all because of you. ( Isabelle comes with Theo. )
Isabelle: Alec...
Clary: I'm sorry.
Theo: Alec, this isn't her fault.
Alec: When are you gonna realize you don't belong here? You never have.
" I am sorry for saying that. " Alec said.
" I forgave you way long, Alec. " Clary said.
Isabelle: Alec...
Rose: Wait. Alec, you are not the only one who gets to play victim here. I was mourning twenty years for my brother who died because I wasn't able to save him. For two decades, I was carrying that guilt and when, I finally found that my brother is alive, that bastard takes him and god knows what he fits in Jace's mind. So, Alec you are not the only one who is in pain. We all want to find Jace as much as you are desperate to find him.
" You snapped so badly. " Achatius said.
( Alec leaves. )

( A karate match is going on and Valentine is watching. )
(CROWD CHEERING) (GROANS) (ELECTRICITY CRACKLING) ( The fighter disappears. )
Man: What's going on? (CROWD CHEERING) (PEOPLE MURMURING) Where the hell'd he go? Where the hell'd he go?
" He took him. " Matt said.
( The Institue is shown. )
Lydia: There's a clear pattern. Young, strong, highly-skilled fighters, all abducted from boxing clubs, dojos and gyms. Valentine must've realized that even with the Cup, creating Shadowhunters isn't easy. He needs mundanes who are more likely to survive the conversion.
Clary: When did the briefing start? Nobody told me.
Isabelle: That wasn't an accident.
Lydia: Your job is to stake out the potential targets, and catch the Circle members when they try to abduct them. We capture a Circle member, we have a shot at Valentine.
Theo: And Jace.
Alec: That's how we get to him before they try and kill him.
Isabelle: Just keep your cool in front of the boss.
Lydia: You have your orders. Dismissed.
Clary: Lydia. Lydia, please. You need all hands on deck. Let me help.
Aldertree: Absolutely not. Your lack of training is a liability. Besides, you're too close to this.
Jocelyn: This isn't coming from me.
Aldertree: Nice to see how well you had things under control here.
Lydia: Stop making this personal.
Aldertree: The Lightwoods are also too close to this. With Jace still out there, it clouds their judgment.
Lydia: Izzy, Theo, Rose and Alec are the best we've got. They stay in.
Clary: Izzy... Izzy, please. You wouldn't want to be benched on this. Let me come with you.

Theo: Alec...
Alec: Let's go, Izzy.
( Camera focuses on Rose who is painting. Clary is shown in her room seeing her sketch book. Izzy comes in Clary's room. )
Isabelle: Hey, Clary, all those things Alec said about you... you know I don't feel that way.
Clary: You have every right to.
Isabelle: None of this is your fault. Alec, he's stressed out. With his parabatai gone, he's like a different person.
Clary: Alec's right. I'm not one of you. I'm just some girl from Brooklyn who went out to celebrate her birthday and came back with a present she never wanted. (INHALES SHARPLY) And can't return.
Isabelle: You don't want to return that present. It's a blessing.

They felt bad for her.
Isabelle: I'm sure. But don't you get it? You have a target on your back. The Institute is the safest place for you. You have a new life now. You have me. And that's not gonna change. ( She leaves from there. ) ( Rose leaves her canvas and her painting is shown. )
" It just shows pain, sadness and... " Klaus said but Achatius cuts him in between.
" ... helplessness. " Achatius said.

Man: Half a dozen people disappear into thin air. What's this, the freaking Rapture? Where'd they go?
Luke: That's what we plan to find out.
Alaric: Should we call the warlock? Do some memory wipes?
Luke: Normally I would, but... better to let the word spread, keep people safe at home.
" Nice idea. " Matt said.
Alaric: Guess you know what's best.
Luke: We got a problem?
Alaric: The pack wants to know how long you're gonna let your little vamp friend hang out in werewolf territory. We're not a bed and breakfast.

Simon: No, I didn't say that. I said that those decisions are way above my pay grade, that they come from guys at the top like you. Now, saying it back, I can see how they came to that conclusion.

Raphael: That was one of Camille's dens.
Simon: I thought that was Maria's den.
Raphael: Camille turned Maria, too, genius. And now, because of you, I'm being called in to answer for it. Do you have any idea what the Clave does to vampires who violate the Accords?
Simon: I'm not sure I want to know.
Raphael: (CHUCKLES) They nail us to crosses, then let shafts of sunlight burn off our body parts, one at a time.
" That sounds horrible. " Caroline said.
Simon: Which body part? You know what? Don't answer that. I can probably talk to Clary.
Raphael: No, you're gonna find Camille... and bring her back to the Hotel DuMort.
Simon: What? Why me?
Raphael: Because you and your friends are the ones who let her out. She's your sire. Use your connection to her, or die trying.

( Valentine's ship is shown. ) (PRISONERS CLAMORING) (CAGES RATTLING)
Jace: If you're thinking of trying to escape, don't. The wards around this ship would fry you like an egg.
Jeremy: I want to be here. I can't wait to get out and start killing Downworlders.
Jace: Trust me. It's not as glorious as you think.
Jeremy: Screw glory. I want justice. I lost my father 'cause of these monsters.
They felt a little bad for the boy.
Jace: I'm sorry.
Jeremy: Valentine said if the Clave did their job, he'd still be alive right now.
Jace: Valentine...
Valentine: I see you've met Jeremy. The others are gearing up for tonight's mission. You should get ready.
Jace: Mission?
Valentine: Part of our first phase. While we're increasing in numbers, we're also finding suitable Downworlders to hold on to for research. You should join them. They could use a good leader like you.
Jace: I don't lead hunts for innocent Downworlders.
Valentine: Innocent? Like that vamp, Maria, who almost killed you? Don't be naive, Jonathan. See, you were trained to see Downworlders as your allies and that I'm your worst enemy. But I'm not asking you to do this for me. I'm asking for humanity.

( Institute is shown. Jocelyn brings coffee for Clary. )
Jocelyn: Clary? I made you black coffee with lots of sugar. It's not as good as Java Jones, but it'll do. ( She opens her room's door and finds no one. ) Clary? ( She sees her stele. ) Oh, no. ( Clary is walking in the streets of New York. )

( Isabelle and Alec are in an underground fighting battle place. )
Isabelle: He said the best fighters in the city come here. It's only a matter of time before Valentine hits this place. ( They see a fighter fighting. )
Isabell: You got some moves.
Man: Yeah? How about I take you home and show you some of those moves, up close and personal?
" Not a good choice. " Hayley said.
Alec: That's funny. You really think you have a chance with her?
Man: And who are you?
Alec: I'm the guy who's gonna put you down if you don't shut your mouth.

Simon: You didn't tell me Portal travel was gonna make me wanna barf.
Magnus: ( He closes the portal. ) You'll get used to it.
Simon: Hopefully sooner than later.
Magnus: So, what's the emergency?
Simon: I need help tracking down your friend Camille. You're the only one I know who knows her as well as Raphael.
Magnus: I know her better, in fact, which also means I know how stupid it is to go looking for her.
Simon: I know she could be holding a grudge about the whole blackmail...
Magnus: Could be? Camille's absolute favorite thing is holding grudges. I forgot her 607th birthday, which isn't even...
They chuckled.
Simon: I could forget about my 19th birthday if we don't find her. So, please, can you take a break from your day job and help a vamp out?
Magnus: Lucky for you, this potion will take a few hours to stew. But it'll cost you.
Simon: Okay. ( He takes his strand of hair. ) Hey! ( He puts it in the vampire hair bottle. )

Man 2 : A chick did that to you?
Man 1: Yeah, I'd like to see you fight that chick. Break you like a twig. (ELECTRICITY CRACKLES) ( A circle member comes there and tries to capture the fighter but Alec comes and captures him. ) (GRUNTS) ( Isabelle uses her stele and turns into her Original form. )
Isabelle: ( She uses the whip to drop his sword. ) Tell us where Valentine is.
Alec: Where is he? ( The circle member uses the knife to kill himself. ) No!
" That wasn't going to work. " Damon said.
Scene Changes.
(INDISTINCT CHATTER) (BELL TOLLING) ( Clary enters the Brooklyn Academy of Art. ) ( She takes pencils. )
Jocelyn: She was so angry. And who can blame her?
Luke: I hate to say this, but had you come clean with her, she might've understood. I might've understood. Jace's demon blood? Valentine's experiments? I mean, how could you not tell me that? I tell you everything!
Jocelyn: I was trying to protect you!
Luke: Trying to protect me? That's what you said about Clary when we talked about wiping her memory. And look where that got you.
Jocelyn: I was afraid to lose you. ( They hugged. ) Clary didn't activate her anti-tracking rune. I know where she is.
Luke: Then what do you need me for?

Clary: So, wait, are you on her side now?

( Camera is focused on Rosaline. She gets a fire message. She reads it and sighs. ) ( Two portals open at a time. )
Rose: Dot, I got your fire message.

Dot: He's misunderstood.
" Really? This is the lamest joke I have ever heard. " Hope said.
Rose: What? Are you kidding me?
Clary: He is a murderer. This is war.
Dot: I want you two to see something.
Rose: What?
Dot: There are things that you can do as a Shadowhunter and Alpha Shadowhunter, but there's so much more you're capable of. Let me show you. ( Dot places a hand on their cheeks and they are pulled into a vision. ) ( THEY GASP) ( They see destruction everywhere. )
" Oh my god. " Freya said. And the female gasped.

( Alec and Isabelle are walking through streets. )
Alec: Aldertree's strategy isn't working.
Isabelle: We've only been to one gym so far. We have to be patient.
Alec: The Circle members all took the same oath. They're gonna keep slitting their throats before they tell us anything.

Alec: Put in a request for a maritime mission. Take out a vessel ourselves.
Isabelle: Alec, the ship is glamoured. It won't show up on the sonar.

" You lied to me. " Magnus said and Simon shrugged.

( Luke and Jocelyn come to Jade Wolf. )
Jocelyn: Those veins on Dot's face. I'd know them anywhere. They're from Valentine's injections. He must have used her to grab Clary. That means Jace is nearby. We find Jace, we find Clary. ( Theo comes there. )
Theo: Not only Clary, Rose also.
Jocelyn: What?
Theo: She is nowhere to be found and I can't feel her.
Luke: Valentine.
Jocelyn: And how is a cat statue gonna help us do that?
" Same question. " Tyler said.
Luke: It's not. ( He breaks it and takes out Adamas. ) This is. It's from the Adamant Citadel. I got it from my mother.
Jocelyn: And the adamas can track Jace?
Luke: Or Rose but not by itself. (SIGHS)

( Institute is shown. )
Alec: We should look at the aerial drones.
Isabelle: We've already done that.
Alec: So we do it again. Maybe we didn't look close enough.

Alec: You don't know, Izzy. (SIGHS HEAVILY) I need him.
Isabelle: I know. ( Jocelyn comes there with Theo. )

" Who are the Iron Sisters? " Rebekah asked.
" They make weapons for Shadowhunters. " Rose said.

Jocelyn: No. I want to find Clary and Rose. Clary was kidnapped by Dot.
Theo: I don't know about Rose but I can't feel her and she's nowhere to be found.
Jocelyn: Valentine must be behind this.

Jocelyn: Look, I know how much your brother means to you. And Clary and Rose mean just as much to me. And I will do anything to get them back.

Clary: Dot brought me.

We're gonna bring the beast back to the boat. Look, since Jace doesn't want to go, why don't you come along, Clary and Rose? Hone those Shadowhunting skills of yours, huh?

(COBRA HISSING) Simon: Oh, God. Okay. You're a vampire, damn it. There's no pointy objects. There's no fire. Nothing to be afraid of. Everything... everything's gonna be fine. You're gonna be fine. (SCREAMS) Magnus! ( The snake releases fire. )
Magnus: Here it is. ( He collects his belongings. )
" You were busy collecting your things when poor Simon was in trouble. " Theo said.
(HISSING) Simon: Magnus! Magnus! Get me out of here!
Magnus: Oh, why do they always seem to get my bad side?
Simon: (PANTING) Okay, you know what? I'm a vampire... I'm a vampire and I'm gonna prove it. Right now.

(WHIMPERS) (HISSING) ( The snake goes from there. ) Yes! That's right! (GRUNTS) Get outta here! That's what I'm talking about! (GRUNTS) (YELPS) Hey, Magnus. There you are.
Magnus: And there it is. My baby.
" Your baby? " Hope asked.
Simon: Your baby?
Magnus: I created it for Camille ages ago. The best gift I ever gave.
Simon: Great. Well, then, maybe don't include me on your Christmas list. (CHUCKLES)
" I can't help but agree with him. " Damon said and they laughed.
Magnus: He didn't scare you, did he?
Simon: No, of course not. I encantoed him. No big.
Scene Changes.
( Theo is lying on the bed with his shirt off. )
Isabelle: If Luke's had the stone all along, why didn't he say anything when Jace first went missing?
Jocelyn: I'll be honest. There are some serious risks involved.
Alec: What kind of risks?
Jocelyn: The parabatai that initiates the contact, it can be taxing on his body... on his mind...
" It sounds dangerous. " Freya said.
Theo: Izzy, Alec, it's fine.

(PRISONERS CLAMORING) (PANTING) (MAN SHOUTING) (GROWLS) ( Clary and Rose find themselves in a prison. )
Clary: What did you do to us?
Dot: I'm so sorry, Clary.
Clary: Up there with Jace, that... that wasn't us talking. We can't see the future, can we?
Dot: No. Valentine made me cast a spell on you both so that you'd do as I'd say.

Dot: And I have to do it again. It wears off quickly on Shadowhunters. ( Rose tries to use her powers but is unable to do so. )
" You were again poisoned. " Klaus said in anger.
Valentine gave you the poison and this is very worse as time passes you will be weaker.
Clary: What did you do, Dot?
Dot: I had to do it Clary.
Clary: No, Dot! Please, no! You don't have to do this.
Dot: If I don't, he'll get angry, and we don't want that.
Clary: Dot, remember... remember when I got grounded when my mom realized that I went to see Simon's band? You brought me gelato from Little Italy to cheer me up. I will never forget that.

" She will help you. " Rebekah said.

Jocelyn: According to Luke, you need to stay near the surface. If you go too deep, nothing can bring you back.
Isabelle: If you go too deep, by the Angel, Theo, I will kick your ass when you get back.

They laughed at this.
" If I was there I would have kicked your ass until you get on bed for one month. " Achatius said.
Theo: Give me the stone. ( He takes the stone. ) (INHALES DEEPLY) ( He sees his moments with Rose. They laughed, they cried in each other's chest. Them fighting together. )
Rose and Theo smiled reminiscing their moments.

( Magnus' apartment is shown. )
Simon: Listen, Antiques Roadshow, you got all your stuff back, but Raphael still wants to kill me, and Camille is nowhere to be found.
Magnus: We might not have her, but at least we have this.
Simon: This? From inside the serpent statue? This... helps me how?
Magnus: If Camille had that snake guarding it, it must be precious to her. Maybe you can use what's inside it to lure her back. If you can get it open.
Simon: How?
Magnus: I wish I knew. Whatever it is, it has wards keeping warlocks like me out. Maybe I can, uh, you know, pry it open. ( He tries to open the box with dagger. Magnus runs towards him and takes the dagger. ) No! Not with this. It's too important.
Simon: You know what else is important? The parts Raphael wants to burn off me if we don't find Camille.
Magnus: We'll figure it out, Simon.
Simon: We?
Magnus: When I was a boy, discovering my powers, I had no one. I had to figure out the Downworld all on my own. It was awful. So... I vowed to myself that if I ever found someone in a similar situation, I'd try to make sure they didn't have to go at it alone.

Valentine: Ah, there you are! There's only one last thing for you to do. Kill her.

Jace: She's our prisoner. She can't hurt anybody here.
Valentine: If only she had shown her victims as much mercy.
Jeremy: After what she did, we're letting her off easy.

Valentine: Jonathan! Jonathan! There's no way out. Jonathan! ( Theo sees them. ) ( Rose and Jace are fighting with the circle members. ) ( Theo sees them again. He sees the younger Rose. ) ( Rose and Jace are still fighting with them. ) ( They kill them. ) ( Theo breathes heavily. ) (COUGHS) ( Rose stops feeling something unusual. She sees the younger Theodore. ) ( Theo again sees the younger Rose and his nose bleeds. ) ( Rose also bleeds from nose. )
" These are the side effects. " Bonnie said.
" This is the starting. " Achatius said.
Clary: Rose, are you okay?
Valentine: Jonathan! Rosaline! (GROANING) Jonathan, Rosaline, come back here! There's nowhere to run! ( Dot opens the portal. )
Clary: Jace, Rose, we have to go now! ( Rose is feeling dizzy. They all run over the edge of the boat and jump from there. ) ( The stone falls from Theo's hand. )
" This is getting worse. " Caroline said.
Isabelle: Theo!
Alec: Theo. Oh my god.
Valentine: Take the warlock down below. ( He kills Gretel. ) Throw the wolf overboard.
