Clary: No, we're not leaving without you. ( A circle member attacks them and Jace fights him. ) (BOTH GRUNTING)

Jace: Stay back. ( They both fight and Jace kills Valentine. ) (BOTH GRUNTING) (BOTH CONTINUE GRUNTING) (GRUNTS) (PANTING) I killed him.
" You didn't. " Damon said.
Rose: Jace, come on. Let's go.
Man: Valentine...
Clary: We have to go, now! ( They run from there. )
Man: No! Get 'em! ( Valentine comes from behind and attacks them. ) (GRUNTS)
Valentine: Miss me, son? ( They fight. ) (BOTH GRUNTING) ( Jace takes Valentine and jumps from the staircase. )
Rose and Clary: Jace! (GRUNTS) (PANTS) ( Jace looks at Valentine's dead body and sees he killed a circle member. ) (PRISONERS SNARLING) (CAGES RATTLING) (GROWLING AND SNARLING)
" What is that place? " Hayley asked.
" A Downworld prison. " Jonathan said.
Clary: What is this place?
Rose: Looks like a Downworld prison. (SNARLS)
Clary: More like a zoo.
" Agreed. " Jeremy said.
Jace: Where's the Portal? ( Clary and Rose use their stele and reveal it was Valentine and a circle member this whole time. )
" You are screwed. " Matt said.
(SNARLING) (CAGES RATTLING)
Valentine: Your skills may be unparalleled... But your loyalty is sorely lacking. ( They capture him and inject him. ) (GRUNTS) String him up.
Rosaline opens her eyes and flashes her alpha eyes. She swings her katanas and fearless rune is showed. Theodore's magical bow appears and he stretches its string forming the strength rune. Clary is seen blowing the candles on her birthday cake forming the angelic rune. Jace is seen jumping from a building with eagles surrounding him. He jumps on the ground splashing the water which forms heightened speed rune. Alec is seen a room with healing rune drawn on one of the walls. He aims his arrow. Isabelle is now shown swinging her blade forming the parabatai rune. Simon is seen wiping the blood on his lips in hotel de mort. The whole background turns black and white. Luke is seen with a wall behind him covered with runes and wolves. Magnus is drinking his cocktail. Scene splits and shows Theo and Rose using their magic and flashing their alpha eyes. Then all the runes are shown burning and Rosaline, Theo, Clary, Jace, Alec and Isabelle are shown walking and the title Shadowhunter appears with The Mortal Instruments written below. And the screen turns black.
Scene Changes.
(INDISTINCT CHATTER) ( Lydia, Alec, Izzy, Magnus and Theo are there. )
Isabelle: Any word from the Clave?
Lydia: Not yet, and we've been trying for the past four hours. Something's up.
Magnus: Mmm, the Clave being unhelpful? Who's shocked? Show of hands?
" Definitely, not us. " Enzo said.
Alec: I'm worried. I can't sense Jace through our parabatai bond.
Magnus: We'll find him, Alexander.
Izzy: When we arrested Hodge, he said Valentine was on a ship.
Theo: They must still be over water.
Lydia: Pull up the waterways around New York. ( Isabelle shows the projected image of waterways in New York. Magnus tries to track Jace with his clothes. )
Isabelle: The ship couldn't have gone too far.
Alec: Anything?
Magnus: Sorry.
Alec: There's got to be something!
Magnus: I don't see him.
Alec: All right, listen up! I want 24/7 monitoring of the Hudson and East Rivers. If you see anything unusual, you come to me first.
" You were so tensed up. " Caroline said.
" I was. My brother was missing. " Alec said and Jace smiled seeing the concern of Alec.
Lydia: I've got this, Alec.
Alec: Then why haven't you found Jace yet?
Lydia: Don't forget who you're talking to. I am still the head of this institute.
Alec: And my brother is still missing!
Theo: Alec, calm down.
Isabelle: Why don't you just take a break?
Alec: Not now, Izzy.
Lydia: Isabelle's right, and it's not a request. You're dismissed.

Magnus: Hey...

" You snapped out. " Stefan said.
( Camera is focused on Jocelyn. Clary and Rose come from behind. )
Clary: Mom. (SIGHS)

Clary: I never thought I'd see you again. ( They hugged and Rose smiled. )
Clary sighed seeing this.
Jocelyn: I'm so sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen. All I ever wanted to do was to protect you.
Clary: I know, but... I'm not a kid anymore. You don't have to protect me.
Jocelyn: Yes, I do.
Clary: By telling me lies?
" This is getting serious. " Davina said.
Jocelyn: Clary...

( Magnus is on the terrace with Alec standing over there. )

They felt sad for him.
Magnus: Tell me what I can do.
Alec: Help me track Jace. I want to use our rune. I just need your magic for the pain.
Magnus: I can't help you with this.

Alec: Why can't you just do this one thing? After everything I've done for you. ( Alec leaves from there. )

( Camera is focused on Jocelyn, Clary and Rose. )

Maryse: We are at war. Valentine now has the Mortal Cup, with which he is, no doubt, raising a new army, and one of our own has joined him.
Isabelle: Looks like the queen's taking back her kingdom.
They chuckled at this.
Maryse: As a result, the Clave has declared a state of emergency at the Institute. Their first priority is to replace the current leadership, who they have deemed wholly ineffectual. Clary: Wait, if we're on lockdown, who's out there looking for Jace?

" That's my brother. " Max said feeling proud of Jace. Jace smiled at this.
Valentine: You're a born fighter. I like it. Get dressed. ( He activates his healing rune. ) We have a lot to talk about.

( Victor takes Clary in the office. )
Clary: You wanted to see me? (DOOR CLOSES)
Victor: Yes, Clary. Take a seat. Sorry about the camera. Like I told your friends when they came in, this is official business, so... I have to be official. (REMOTE BEEPS) Now... Let's talk about Jace.
Clary: Okay.
Victor: You had the impression he was saving your lives by leaving with Valentine?
" Okay, I am already getting bad vibes from him. " Caroline said.
" Me too. " Bonnie agreed.

Victor: Was he within striking distance of Valentine?

( Valentine is cooking in the kitchen. Jace comes there. )
Rose sighed seeing this.
Valentine: Mmm. Needs pecorino, hmm? Do you remember your fifth birthday? And I made you spaghetti? Your absolute favorite, even your sister, Rosaline's.
" I hate them. " Rose said.
Jace: Michael Wayland used to make me spaghetti.
Valentine: Just try some.
Jace: You really think I want to have a meal with you? ( Jace attacks him with knife. But Valentine blocks it. ) (SIGHS) Didn't I teach you not to play with knives? Look, I know that head of yours is full of questions. So, go ahead. Don't be shy.
Jace: Why did you fake your death and pretend to be Michael Wayland?
Valentine: To protect you from my enemies. As Michael Wayland, I knew you'd be safe.

Maryse, Izzy and Alec smiled listening this.

" He is sick. " Davina said.
" True. " Bonnie agreed.
Jace: You experimented on me?
Valentine: I made you stronger, faster... More lethal than any other Shadowhunter.
Jace: Why?
Valentine: To create the perfect weapon, the ideal marriage of good and evil. A Shadowhunter with pure demon blood.
Jonathan sighed. He knew that feeling. For his father, he was just a mere weapon. For his mother, a monster.

Clary: There is no way we're going to help you hunt Jace.
Victor: And I'd never ask you to. You and your friends are prohibited from any further involvement for the hunt for Jace Wayland.

Valentine: This warlock is infamous for crimes against mundanes. There's something else I want you to see.

( Izzy, Clary and Rose are in the training room. )
Isabelle: Come on, let's do this.
Clary: Do what? You seriously want to train right now? We have to find Jace before Victor gets him killed.
Isabelle: ( She gives her a sword. She uses her whip and turns it into a weapon. ) Training's important. So, pay attention to what I'm about to show you. ( They fight. Victor is watching this. ) (BOTH GRUNTING) ( Clary tries to kick Isabelle but Isabelle pushes her on ground. )

Rose: Well done, girls. Wanna have a round with me? ( Clary and Isabelle look towards each other and give a nod. Rose takes out two blades from thin air. Isabelle and Clary also get ready with their weapons. ) ( They attack on Rose but she easily dodges it. She kicks Clary in her legs and she falls on ground. Isabelle attacks her and they block each other's blows. Rose tries to attack Isabelle but she retreats sideways. Rose smirked and attacks on Isabelle's elbow and then her feet. Izzy falls on ground. )
Rest of them were fascinated watching Rosaline fight like this.
Rose: ( whispering ) Make sure Alec doesn't do anything stupid. I am hundred percent sure he will do anything possible to find Jace.
" Really, Rose? " Alec said and scoffed.
( Alec is leaving from Institute and Maryse follows him. )
Maryse: Alec. Alec, slow down. Where are you going?
Alec: Magnus'. I couldn't just sit in there and not do anything. He'll help me find my brother.
Maryse: Jace is not your brother. He's not your blood.
Jace was a little hurt listening this. Maryse looked away in guilt.

Maryse: Alec, we looked like fools taking in Valentine's son, caring for him like our own.

( Alec comes to Magnus' apartment. Magnus is practicing magic. )

( Alec and Izzy come to the Ops centre. )
Alec: Jace is back. Call off your men. Izzy and I will bring him back alive.
Victor: One step ahead of you. We got a hit on the map. We're mobilizing now.
Isabelle: You're not listening. Go ahead and de-rune me. We won't let you do this.
Victor: Hold them here until we get back. ( Shadowhunters hold Alec and Izzy. )

( The camera is again focused on Reggie's pizza shop. )
(SNARLING) (GRUNTS) (GRUNTS) (SNARLS) (GRUNTS) (SNARLS) (SHRIEKING) (GRUNTS) ( Jace fights and stakes vampires and kills them. He sees Maria. )
Maria: Pretty strong, even for a Shadowhunter.
Jace: You're feeding on innocent mundanes. (SIGHS)
Maria: A girl's gotta eat. (GROWLS) (GRUNTS) ( She attacks Jace and they fall out of the window. )
( Camera is focused on Clary, Rose and Theo. )
Theo: Mama's close.
Clary: Then we have to run faster!
Rose: We can run faster. We're running slow for you.
They chuckled at this.
( Camera is again focused on Jace. ) (GRUNTS) (SNARLING)
Jace: You're done. You're done.
Maria: You can't kill me.
Jace: Watch me.
Maria: I surrender to the authority of the Clave.
" And there she uses her trump card. " Finn said.
(GRUNTS) (LAUGHING) Aw, look at you. You got your stick all ready to go and now you can't use it.
Jace: No, you broke the Accords. You killed innocent mundanes. And now, you're gonna die just like your friends.
Maria: But unlike them, I'm no longer a threat. I know my rights.
Jace: Your rights?
Maria: Yeah, my rights. I might have broken the Accords, but I know you won't.

Valentine: Ah, that's my boy. ( Jocelyn points a crossbow at Jace. )
" What the bloody hell? " Rebekah said.
" I am not surprised. " Klaus said remembering his own mother killing him.
(GASPS) ( She launches the arrow but Rosaline stops the arrow in mid air. She throws a knife but Valentine was standing ahead of Jace and gets hurt. ) (GROANS) ( Jocelyn takes another arrow. )
Clary: No!
Valentine: Run, Jonathan. They want you dead. ( Jace takes Valentine. Jocelyn was about to launch another arrow but Theo and Rose put a protective shield around them. )
Clary: Mom, stop! (PANTING) ( Jace and Valentine left. ) What have you done?
Rose: You are unbelievable.
