EVELYN'S POV
"Do you even still wanna go to dinner?"
"I kinda wanna just stay in and chill with you"
"Okay, let me cancel the reservation."
"Okay."
I turned my attention back to the TV and continued watching the movie.
Oh shit.
The big sex scene.
I side-eyed Connor a few times and shifted around in the bed.
"Uncomfortable?"
"No."
"Why do you keep shifting?"
"Because there's a sex scene?"
"Oh? wanna mimic it?"
"Huh?"
"You heard me."
Connor rolled over and hovered above me.
"Didn't we just have sex?"
"We don't have to go all the way."
"If you say so."
Connor leaned down and kissed me, savoring the taste of my lips.
He made his way to my jaw, then my neck searching for my sweet spot.
He found it and bit the skin gently.
I let out a shaky breath and put my hand on the back of Connor's head.
Damn.
My phone started ringing.
"Answer it."
Connor said while still kissing and sucking my neck.
"What no! Are you crazy."
"Maybe a little."
Connor reached over and snatched my phone off the nightstand and accepted the call.
"Evelyn finally you answered!"
"Uh y-yeah."
"Something wrong? Why are you stuttering."
"Sorry I was just concentrated on something."
"Oh okay, anyways. There's a party tonight at Jessie's house. Wanna come?"
"Oh s-sorry, I don't think I-I can make it."
Connor chuckled at my state of speech.
"What was that laugh?"
"What laugh?"
"I heard a laugh. Omg! Evelyn! Are you getting railed right now?"
Amelia let out the loudest shriek I've ever heard come out of her.
"No Amelia! I have to go."
"Yeah, you better get back to getting railed! You go girl! Whoo!"
"Okayyy, bye!"
"Bye girly!"
Connor hung up and stopped kissing me.
"You fucking idiot, why would you do that!"
"Don't fucking insult me."
"No I will! You're an idiot! Now Amelia knows that I'm not a virgin anymore!"
"You don't get to disrespect me like that!"
"Don't yell!"
"Why not?"
"Because it's scary!"
"How is that my fault? You just called me a fucking idiot! Of course I'm gonna be upset!"
"You know what, never mind, just forget it."
I grabbed my stuff and walked out of Connor's room. I made my way downstairs and grabbed my car keys from the counter.
I walked outside and got in my car.
"Fuck!"
I pounded on the steering wheel and threw my head on it.
I exhaled and put the car in reverse.
I began pulling out of his driveway and drove home.
I walked to the door and unlocked it.
"Mom?"
"Oh hey sweetie, how was school?"
"I wouldn't know."
"What's that supposed to mean."
"I left in the middle of school."
"What! Why?"
"Because I-"
"Because what"
"Julia happened."
"What do you mean?"
"She airdropped a video of dad dying."
Regret shot through my moms eyes.
"Baby, I'm so sorry."
She came over to me and gave me a big hug.
"Thanks mom. I'm gonna go get in bed."
"Okay sweetie, tell me if you need anything."
"I will."
I was walking up the stairs when I felt my phone vibrating.
Connor was calling me.
I declined it.
I opened the door to my room and my phone vibrated again.
Connor was calling again.
I declined it and texted him instead.
E: Stop calling me.
C: Evelyn just pick up the phone please.
E: No.
C: Evelyn I'm sorry please pick up.
I left him on read and ignored the rest of his texts.
He didn't have to yell.
But he did, even when I told him not to.
I got in the shower and leaned under the water, letting the hot water soothe my skin.
I got my hair wet and ran my fingers through it.
I lathered myself in soap and began scrubbing with my loofa.
When I was finished, I rinsed off the soap.
I put shampoo in my hair and made sure to get everywhere.
I rinsed the shampoo out and did the same thing with the conditioner.
When I was done with my shower I turned off the water and got out.
I threw on some comfy clothes and laid down and continued the amazing series I'm watching.
Well that was until I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in!"
In walked Connor.
I sat up straight and crossed my arms.
"Evelyn, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have kept yelling when you told me to stop.
"Yeah you shouldn't have."
Connor looked down in guilt and put his hand on my lower leg.
"Forgive me?"
"I guess."
Connor looked at me with a stern look.
"Sorry, yes."
"I want you to mean it, I don't want you just saying that."
"I'm not, I forgive you."
"Good, I love you."
"I love you too."
"So, mind if I join you?"
"Not at all."
