A couple years later
Jake's POV
We are all heading down to the lake for summer. My senior year just ended and I am attending Johnson University. Which isn't that far from the lake.
I pull up to the lake house with Mike and Mark in my car and get all of are stuff out and put it in are room.
When I walk back out I see are family van pull up and Kyle, Nigel, Jessica, and Kimmy hop out with mom and dad.
"Hey guys" I said helping them with there bags
"When is everyone else getting here."
"Nora Bud and little Tom and Baby Emma are getting here tonight as well as Lorraine and Sarah." Said Kim
"And Henry will get here tomorrow morning because of some performance at school." Jessica said finishing Kim's statement
"I am never going to get used to y'all finishing each others sentences like that." a voice said from behind me.
I turn around to see my beautiful girlfriend standing behind me.
"Y/N!!!"
I yell picking her up in a big hug and spinning around.
"Hi"she said as I set her down but before she could say anything else I kissed her
With my hands still wrapped around her waist.
"Awww!!!"the girl twins said kinda ruining the moment because it made y/n laugh.
The Murtaughs got here last night and Eliot asked for us to call as soon as Sarah gets here. She said pulling away and helping everyone carry there stuff in.
She sets the stuff down in side and hugs Mike and Mark
Then My parents
"Y/n looking at how pretty and grown up you are." My mom said looking at her
"Aww thank you." Y/n said hugging her
"SQUIRT!!!" My dad said hugging my girlfriend
"Still using that nickname I see." She replies
We all sit down and talk about what has been happening while we where gone.
When Nora Bud and Little Tom and Baby Emma pull up.
With Charlie and his fiancé Opal right behind them.
"Heyyy" we all run out to greet them. "How have y'all been."
"Great" Nora said getting out of the car holding a year old baby girl
And a little boy ran out of the back of the car and went over to Kyle to get a big hug and being tossed in between him and Nigel.
We all get in side and help Noras family get settled when Mom, Nora, Opal, and Y/n go to make dinner.
So how are things going with you and y/n Charlie asks me after they are out of ear shot.
"Good" I said looking down
"I am really happy and now that we live closer to each other I am exited to see how things go."
"I actuality want y'all's opinion on something.
"Okay shoot." Charlie replied turning towards me.
I was thinking about getting her a promise ring is that a bad idea and a good one."
"I just don't want to scary her off."
"I think that you should y'all are clearly madly in love." Charlie said
Catching the attention of Dad and Bud.
"What are y'all talking about." Dad asked
"Well are little Jake is all grown up and wants to get his girlfriend a promise ring. And was asking for an opinion if he should do it or not." Charlie told them
"I think you should" Bud said.
Y'all are good together." Dad said standing up
"Ok I guess I am getting her a promise ring." I say standing up and walking towards the kitchen.
Y/n POV
Hey how are things going with you and Jake. Mrs. Baker asked
I think there going really well. I say while cutting up potatoes.
"y'all still seem as in love with each other as you where when you were kids." Nora said looking up at me.
"Kids? how long have you been together" Opal asked
"Well technically we had crushes on each other along time before we started dating but are first date was when we were 13." I said
"And that date was a disaster."I said laughing about the memory
"Oh yeah that was a terrible day for the dating Bakers."Jessica said sitting at the counter
"Why what happened." Opal asked
"Oh well it was actually a double date Y/n and Jake then Sarah and the neighbor Eliot." Kim said grabbing a glass down from the cabinet.
"Well we went to the movies and we were sitting in the theater when we heard arguing from behind us so we turn around of course."
"And when we turned around we saw Mr. Baker and Mr. Murtaugh who is also Eliot's dad arguing and poking each other like children."
"But Mr. Murtaugh poked Mr. Baker a little to hard and he fell off the edge of the balcony."
"They finally realize we noticed they were there when Mr. Murtaugh was holding on to Toms foot trying to keep him from falling."
"We were all kicked out of the movie and we had to go home." I said ending the story of Jake and my first date together.
"But I guess it worked out because you and Jake are still together and so are Sarah and Eliot." Nora said chuckling.
"Wow that is one first date if I have ever heard one." Opal said
"Oh are you telling them about are first date." Jake said walking in the room and kissing my forehead.
"Yep funniest date ever" I said looking at Mr. Baker
"Hey I promised I wouldn't go on another date with y'all again and I haven't." Mr. Baker defended himself
Making everyone laugh.
"Look everyone Sarah and Lorraine must be here." Mark said looking out the window.
We all ran to the door
"SARAH!" I yelled
"Y/N!!" She yelled back as we ran and hugged each other.
"Sometimes I feel like my girlfriend and my sister miss each other more than they both miss me." Jake said causing everyone to laugh.
We all grab there things and bring them inside.
