Over the years mother told me everything about how she wasn't my real mother and my real mom had to protect me from bad people

My hair is seventy feet long and when I sing it glows and heal the sick and wounded and those who have died right back to life

I sang as my mother now looked like her younger self again. We walked over to the mirror as she began to pose
"Rosa I look amazing," She said squishing her face "Today is the day of Antonio's gifting ceremonia," I said fiddling with my fingers
It was also the day Bruno disappeared "Mami don't you miss Bruno" I asked softly as she froze in her spot and turned towards me "We don't talk about Bruno" she exclaimed pointing a finger at me
"I-" she cut me off and gave me a stern look "NO. NO MÁS HABLAR DE BRUNO" she exclaimed waving her hands around and rolling her eyes
"I'm sorry, no puedo superarlo" I screamed not noticing the tears falling from my eyes, I didn't even realize Pascal was in my head
"Why can't you get it, I was enamorado de él," I said jabbing my finger into her chest as my breathing got faster
The green chameleon on her gave her mother a look to calm down
"Rosa he was bad luck, I don't see why you were in love with him, he's too viejo for you, Mother knows best" She paused placing a finger on her lip then hummed "There's even bonus he's gone he's never coming back," She said with a thick Latin accent
"And neither am I," I said stomping out of the room and making my way to my door grabbing a bag tossing a bunch of clothes in the bag, and grabbing Antonio's gift. I then wrapped my hair around a hook above my window and jumped out holding my hair sliding down
I made my way to Castia as I was on my way I saw the whole village getting ready and kids running "Hola Rosa" the priest said to which I replied with a wave "Rosa how are you" the young woman asked "Better as I'll ever be" I said smiling the village all thought of me as a miracle seeing I was born with my powers
"Rosa do you think you could heal me I hit my head climbing on a bookshelf," Pablo said as I bent down to his level wrapped my hair around his head, and sang "Gracias Rosa," he said speeding away to play with the other kids
I had finally made it to the Madrigal's home "Hola Castia" I said as the door clapped open, I walked in and ran up the stairs to my room placed my bag on the bed, and ran to Mirabel's door "Hola Mirabel" I said going into her room and plopping on her bed "Tía Rosa, you're here and Pascal" she exclaimed running to me a giving me a hug and rubbing her finger on Pascal tiny head
Even though I wasn't a Madrigal everyone here considered me as family so I got the title of tía, hermana e hija.
"How many times do I have to tell you, call me Rosa even if I am your tía," I said fixing her hair "Gracias Rosa," she said sending off a smile
"There precioso as ever," I said letting out a giggle she stood up from her seat and grabbed her bad
"Let's go," she said grabbing my hands and dragging me with her

"Morning Abuelo," Mirabel said as we both slid down the railing, Casita then turned the step into the slide thingy as we slid down on our feet
We made our way to the dining room each window opened at a time. Casita let the plates roll to the table making Mirabel catch all the plates I grabbed the last one before it could hit the floor
I placed the plate on top of the others she was carrying, she handed me half the plates to put in front of the chairs "Hey, when's that gift happening" a young boy with a cup in his hand asked "My cousin ceremony is tonight" she replied as I placed another plate in front of a chair
"What's his gift" a girl with black hair yelled
I let out a laugh and sighed "We're gonna find out tonight" I responded placing the last plate "What's your gift," he asked wiping his mouth "Who's asking," she asked mischievously
"US" they yelled in sync "Well US, I can't just talk about myself. I'm only part of the amazing Madrigals also Garcia" she exclaimed happily
I was happy she considered herself a Garcia and she was happy I consider myself a Madrigal
"Who are the amazing Madrigal and Garcia" they yelled "Ah, you're not gonna leave us alone, are you" she asked
"Casita, help us out" We are in sync looking up
"Drawers" Maribel sang as the drawers opened up
"Floors" I sang running in the middle of the center with Maribel as the tiles flipped over
"Doors" we sang as the doors glowed "Let's go" she sang grabbing my hand
"This is our home, we've got every generation" she sang staging me threw halls knocking on Camilo's door as I went and gave Dolores's door a jump bump

"Whoa! But let's be clear, Abuela runs this show" Alma had walked out of her room with a soft smile on her face
"Whoa! She led us here so many years ago" I danced next to Isabela grabbing her hands and spinning around

"There's just a lot you've simply got to know, so" She pushed open the doors as we all followed. Pepa was helping hold my hair, I sent her a genuine smile
"Welcome to the Family Madrigal" We both began to salsa

"Just tell us what everyone can do!" A boy with a cup of coffee yelled as his eyes twitched, Mirabel and I made eye contact
"And that's why coffee's for grown-ups!" I said taking the cup away from him
We appeared in front of a wall with a painting picture of the Madrigal family including me
I sat down on the ground as the kids began to braid my hair
"My tía Pepa, her mood affects the weather"
"When she's unhappy. Well, the temperature gets weird" Mirabel sang tossing an umbrella
"My tío Bruno" she started until some of the villagers stopped what they were doing and looked at her
"We don't talk about Bruno!" They sang as I rolled my eyes

I stood up and twirled around admiring my hair

"Mirabel! Rosa!" We slowly turned our heads to Alma as she had a look on her face "What are you doing" she asked holding a plant in her hands
"They were just asking about the family," Mirabel said trying to play it off "Yep," I said nodding my head
"She was just about to tell us about her super awesome gift" the kid exclaimed "Pequeña mierda" I mumbled as Mirabel kicked my ankle and laughed
"Oh, Mirabel didn't get on, hm," Dolores said and then walked off and all the kids turned to Mirabel and stared at her.
