Kazutora walks along a stone path, not really knowing where he was going, he just lets his feet drag him to wherever it wants, his train of thoughts was interrupted when a voice spoke in front of him
"What can I get for you today?"a woman's voice asked, Kazutora looks at her before at his surroundings
'A flower shop?' he thought before looking back at the woman
"A bouquet of flowers, please"Kazutora smiles as he says the familiar word in front of the woman, who nods
"Who's it for?"the woman asked as she starts to organize a bouquet
"Visiting a friend.."Kazutora simply answered, a smile still plastered on his face
The woman looks at him for a second before nodding, giving him the bouquet once it was done, Kazutora payed for it and left the flower shop, looking at the bouquet in his hands
A few minutes later.. He finds himself inside a cemetery, standing in front of the space where Baji's grave supposedly lies in the future
Kazutora looks at the empty space before at the bouquet of flowers in his hands, deciding to give a person a visit
Standing in front of the said person's grave, he bowed his head
"I'm sorry for what I did.."he paused"Shinichiro-san"he finished
A gently breeze made Kazutora look up and place his hands on either side of his arms, because of how cold it suddenly got
Looking at Shinichiro's grave, he gently placed the bouquet of flowers in the tomb before leaving the cemetery, not wanting Mikey and the others to see him, considering today was the day that Chifuyu and Takemichi will talk to Mikey and Draken here in the cemetery
Kazutora finds himself walking back to Takemichi's house, he isn't exactly prepared for the event tomorrow, let's just say he's prepared to do everything just to save Baji, but he doesn't know if its enough to make him live, after all.. Death will always come knocking at your door
His plan to save him was reckless to say the least, but he's not exactly thinking about his own safety right now, he doesn't want to disappoint Chifuyu, who's in the future, probably alone
Kazutora frowns when thinking of this, he already gave Chifuyu enough of those memories, not wanting them to resurface again, he made sure Chifuyu will only smile, after all.. He doesn't want Chifuyu to experience the same thing again
But that didn't exactly go as planned..
If Kazutora could even call himself important in Chifuyu's life, he had a lot of regrets, but killing Baji and disappointing Chifuyu tops all of the other regrets that he has and have in his life, killing Shinichiro and blaming Mikey was also on that list
If only he didn't proceed with stealing Shinichiro's bike with Baji, Shinichiro would still be alive and Mikey wouldn't be in the state he is in now in the future, they wouldn't be manipulated by Kisaki, Toman wouldn't be an evil organization in the future, and Emma, along with Baji, would still be alive
Clenching his fist, Kazutora stopped in his tracks, taking deep breaths to calm himself from just finding Kisaki and killing him right here and now
His phone ringing stopped him from his train of thoughts, pulling it out of his pockets, he hesitantly answers the call after seeing Chifuyu's name on his phone's screen, confused as to how can Chifuyu call him, when Chifuyu's in the future
"Hanemiya-san?.."the doctor's voice seems unsure on the other line, confusing Kazutora even more
"Hai? It's me, is something wrong?.."he asked, wanting to know how the doctor got ahold of Chifuyu's phone
"Someone was rushed here today and when I checked his contacts, your number was saved under the name Tora-"Kazutora didn't let the doctor finish his sentence, he instantly ran towards the direction of the hospital
Not caring if he almost got ran over by a few cars when crossing the streets
'It can't be..' he thought as he runs, not stopping in his tracks, wanting to see the evidence for himself
Arriving there, the doctor was waiting for him in the lobby, who immediately approaches him, Kazutora instantly asked the rooms number
"What room is he in?"he asked looking at the doctor, as he tries to catch his breath from all the running that he did
"Seventh room on the left-"the doctor didn't finish his sentence when Kazutora sprinted towards the said hallway, eager to see Chifuyu and to check if it was really him
Slamming the door of the said room open, he saw Chifuyu's unconscious form laying in the hospital bed, that he slowly approached, footsteps were heard behind him, Kazutora didn't need to turn around because he knows it was the doctor
"Witnesses say he was found inside his car, unconscious.. They thought he was already dead, since his pulse stopped when they checked him after trying to pry his car open"the doctor informs as Kazutora looks at Chifuyu's face
"He's stable now... He doesn't seem to have any serious injuries, so he'll probably wake up soon. The police thinks someone wanted him dead, so they tried to make it seem like he killed himself by suffocating him inside his car.."the doctor informs as he flips through the clipboard that he has in his hands"I'll let you stay.."he adds before leaving the room, not before patting Kazutora on his shoulder
Kazutora sat on the stool beside the bed as he gets ahold of Chifuyu's hand, Kazutora didn't know what to feel, he's glad that Chifuyu's here but he doesn't want Chifuyu to be in this state
Looking at Chifuyu's face closely, Kazutora noticed a few scratches, the side of his lip was also bruised, they look fresh, it looks like he just got them
Kazutora then checked his arms, seeing a mark on Chifuyu's wrists, it looks as if it was tied together by a rope because of the bruise that formed on it, gripping on Chifuyu's hand with both his own, Kazutora looks at Chifuyu's face with a sad smile
'Don't worry, Fuyu. I won't let Baji die this time' he thought not taking his eyes off of Chifuyu's face
Kazutora stayed overnight in the hospital, the doctor checking him every now and then, since he hasn't come out of the room ever since he arrived, the doctor was kind enough to bring him food, but he hasn't touched them either
Kazutora even forgot to inform the two teens that he's not coming home because he'll be keeping an eye on Chifuyu, the doctor had to force him to eat the next day, since he didn't eat or leave the room at all yesterday
"I'll leave this here.."the doctor informs as he places the tray of food on the nightstand beside the bed before leaving
Kazutora was slumped onto the edge of the bed, holding Chifuyu's hand as he tries to fall asleep, did I mention he hasn't slept
He didn't get a single shut eye yesterday, worried about Chifuyu and the event that will happen today, he probably has to leave Chifuyu here, since he has to save Baji from getting killed by his past self
Kazutora was about to stand when Chifuyu's hand moved, making him stop and look back at Chifuyu's sleeping form
Chifuyu's eyes slowly opened as the hand that Kazutora was holding, moves to try and block his face, but he couldn't, due to the fact that Kazutora was holding it
Chifuyu turns to him, surprised to see him alive"Tora?.."he tried to voice out but he couldn't, because of how dry his throat had become
Kazutora smiles and tries to grab Chifuyu a glass of water, the latter sitting up from his position and hugging him, catching Kazutora off guard
He looks at Chifuyu before wrapping his arms around him, when he felt Chifuyu tighten his arms around him
"H-Hey.. It's okay, I'm right here"he whispered, placing his head on top of Chifuyu's
The two stayed like that for a few more minutes before Chifuyu lets go, looking at Kazutora in the eye, Kazutora who was not used to this kind of attention, couldn't look at Chifuyu in the eye
"I thought you were dead, you asshole!"Chifuyu glares at him
Kazutora places a hand behind his neck"About that.."
How does Kazutora tell him about them being in the past, and today being the day that Baji was gonna die, he can't stay here much longer, the fight will start soon
Taking a deep breath, Kazutora then started explaining everything to Chifuyu, who only listened to him, Chifuyu kept a straight face, surprising Kazutora
"Go.."Chifuyu finally broke the silence that engulfed them after he told him everything
Kazutora looks at him confused
"Go.. You said Baji-san's gonna die today, right? I'll be waiting here.."Chifuyu smiles at him, placing his hand on top of Kazutora
Kazutora's eyes widened but he nodded and left the room, leaving Chifuyu in his own thoughts, looking at the cup of tea in his hands, his reflection stared back at him, he looks at the door, thinking of Kazutora, who's literally running for his life, to be able to reach the fight, to stop Baji from killing himself
'Please be safe, Tora..' Chifuyu looks outside the window, seeing how lively the outside was
This made Chifuyu not finish his tea and place them on the nightstand beside him, thinking on how Baji died today, clenching his fist, he laid himself back to bed, mad at himself for not being able to do anything, because he has to stay in the hospital, he couldn't even tell Kazutora about what happened to him
Arriving in the abandoned junkyard, Kazutora easily slips past the crowd, gaining attention from the spectators and the other gang members of both gangs, when he punched Valhalla members that tried to go near him, ignoring their stares
He arrived at the scene, looking up at the car pile where Mikey was, he didn't see his past self on the ground, looking towards Takemichi and Baji's direction, he dashed towards the two, as he caught a glimpse of his past self already on the move to stab Baji in the back
Just in time, he uses his own body to shield Baji from getting stabbed, Kazu on the other hand, looks at him in horror, realizing that he got stabbed instead of Baji
"Nii-san?.."he heard Takemichi behind him
Kazutora looks at his past self, as he slowly spits out blood"It's okay.. I'm alright, see?"he smiles as he places a hand on Kazu's cheek
"Aniki?.."Kazu was still in shock, he was just looking at him
"Nii-san, are you okay?!"Takemichi approached the two as Kazutora felt himself start to lose consciousness, his body landed on the ground with a thud
"Takemichi.."he turns to him, placing his other hand on his cheek"Take care of yourself, you hear me.."Takemichi was crying"Tell him, I'm sorry.."he adds before he fully lost consciousness
The others around the three approached them, Baji and Chifuyu who's closest to the three, immediately checked Kazutora
"Someone call an ambulance!"Mitsuya shouted as the others slowly dispersed
Mikey who approached them, looks at Kazutora's unconscious form before kicking Kazu in the face
"Mikey/Mikey-kun!"Baji and Takemichi shouted, seeing what he did
"Mikey!"Baji stood between Mikey and Kazu"Stop this already! Can't you see? Someone's life is at stake!"Baji grips Mikey on his shoulders, catching the male off guard
"Go.."they turn towards the owner of the voice, Kazu looks at Kazutora"I'll stay here.."he adds looking at Mikey and Baji
"What?.. No!"Baji refused looking at him
The sound of sirens were heard and the others sprinted towards the exit, Hanma on the other hand runs towards Kazu and grabs him, surprising the male
"Hanma?!"Kazu asked looking at him
"No hard feelings.."Hanma simply spoke as he sprinted towards the exit with the others, now knowing why Kazutora told him to look after Kazu
