my body is a wasteland
there is no scavenging worth doing, there is only pieces and bits that hold as much meaning as your petty lies
everything is destroyed and tape is a waste of space
and yet i will tape until my pieces mold into something new,
bigger and brighter and my temporary fix will be my undoing
my mind is the remains of a temple
it's been destroyed
it's been idolized
it's been shamed
and all that is left is the scrounging for something more
my words are empty and my thoughts are full and there is no one visiting an adverse alter
my heart is an ark and ill bury us within it
our love is written in scripture and it's in our blood to idolize it
we'll die for our sins and it will be golden
there is finally light to this love
my blood is an ocean
polluted with remains of you and i
and thousands of toxins i can't seem to shake
somethings are simply not meant to be clean
it is salty with tears and it is tainted with shards of glass from an ark,
broken with the violent urge of love
