I woke up as I collect myself and stand up I see Spinel wake up aswell and look at me in shock before calming down
Y/n: Good morning
?: Good morning
Y/n: What are we doing today?
?: We need to get more shards
Y/n: Alright but how many do we have right now?
?: 7 Amethyst shards, 3 Emerald shards, 3 Peridot shards, 1 Pearl shard, 1 Sapphire shard, and 1 Ruby shard.
I realise that the Sapphire was probably the reason why we could tell when Garnet was using her future vision on us
Spinel: I can tell your thinking of going somewhere! Can you take me with you please!!!
Y/n: Will she be okay at the Kindergarten?
?: Yes the shards should be focused on us more then her
I let out a chuckle as I pick up Spinel before putting her on my back as we step onto the warp pad. We shortly arrive at the Kindergarten and step off the warp pad as Spinel runs forward
Spinel: Ooh I've heard of this place......Pink told me about it?
Spinel looks around at the dead canyon and all the deformed holes as she backs up to me as I wrap an arm around her
?: It would be best if we found some Bismuth shards
Y/n: Why?
?: We need humanly needs but the only way we can get them is by warping directly in the middle of the threats base. Bismuths know how to make warp pads so we can make a safe warp location to survive
Y/n: Alright lets look for some!
We start to move through the kindergarten. Every now and then we would let out a call to see if shards would come until eventually one did. It was a 5 shard amalgamation as I feel Spinel wrap her arms around me several times
Spinel: W-WHAT IS THAT!?
She looks at me for an answer as I come up with one and point at the gem cluster on my stomach
Spinel: Wait your related to that thing???
I nod my head as I head to the monster
Y/n: We are stable and think it would help us both if you joined us?
It glows a bit before it poofs as its gems fly to mine as I feel them appear inside me as we grow some more before heading back to Spinel
Spinel: Oh so thats how you got bigger!
?: Thank you for helping us we were 3 Bismuth shards, 1 Sapphire shard, and 1 Peridot shard
Y/n: seems like you guys have already fitted right in! Do we now know how to make a warp pad?
?: Yes we do unless you want to help some more shards we can.............Oh no the Gems are here!
I jump at the sudden news as I look at Spinel before picking her up and sitting her on my back as we climb into a nearby hole off the ground as we wait
Spinel: Y/n whats wrong?
Y/n: "Threats"
She sees the message I put into the ground as she goes silent before nodding as we peer out of the hole
?: It seems they are chasing a Peridot now
Y/n: Is the boy with them?
?: Yes
Y/n: Finally I know what episode were on!
I continue to look out the hole as I see the Peridot and Steven go slide into a hole that Peridot opened up as I watch them arrive back up after awhile as they walk I dig through the walls of the various holes keeping an eye on them

*SCRAAAEEEE*
I hear the shards roar as I see Peridot and Steven visibly flinch as I head to the exit of my hole
?: What are we doing!?
Y/n: The gems are going to arrive soon and poof and bubble all of those shards........We can't let them get trapped
?: Okay but we will have to be careful we cant poof?
I set Spinel down and point to the ground telling her to stay as I jump down from the hole and land with a resounding crash. I see the shards run at Steven and Peridot in there bubble
Y/n: FORGET THEM!!! join us we are stable and have plenty of room!
The shards stop following Steven and Peridot as they walk to us and glow before I feel them all join us as we grow even more
Y/n: Wow that was a lot!
?: Apologies but thank you!!!
I recover myself as I stand up on my legs before looking at Steven and Peridot in there bubble
Peridot: Steven....What is that?
Steven: The shard spider
Peridot: It fused with those other mutants but all it did was grow and not deform
I let out a chuckle at there confusion as I feel a weight on my back and see Spinel sitting there hugging my torso
Spinel: YAY you did it!
I turn to go and leave but am quickly stopped as I see the Gems blocking my exit
Garnet: Shard spider!?
Amethyst: I thought we wasn't going to call it anything?
Garnet: Steven's name stuck
Pearl: STEVEN ARE YOU ALRIGHT???
I think quickly as I use 2 of my arms to block Spinels eyesight of the gems. I hop onto a wall and climb up but am quickly knocked down by a spear hitting a injector and falling on me.
I hear a poof behind me I quickly use my 8 arms to lift up the injector before breaking it apart as I see the gems gathered around Spinel gem
?\Y/n: NO!!!
We quickly run to the gems before they can grab Spinel's gem. They all back except Steven who stood infront of the gem and activated his bubble. I slam my bottom half of arms onto Steven's bubble as it cracks causing Steven to fall down before I reel back my top half of arms to finish the job
I slam my top arms onto the bubble as it burst. Knocking Steven back to the crystal gems as I stand over Spinel's gem Amethyst jumps to attack me but I quickly stab her in the air. Causing her to poof as I bite down on Spinels gem picking it up
?: Lets leave!
The gems charge me but much to there confusion I turn around and run. I scale the wall beside them before jumping behind them and running to the warp pad. I easily manage to outrun them before making it there and warp back to the Garden
*Gems pov*
After the shard spider outran Pearl Steven quickly hugs Garnet as they hug him back before letting eachother go
Peridot: T-This is only the beginning once the Cluster wakes up this whole planet will be destroyed if it isn't already by mutants like that!
Garnet: That......thing shouldn't exist it's wrong
Pearl: Yes but homeworld thought otherwise huh
Amethyst then reforms as the gems look at her as she scans the area for a fight
Amethyst: Uh where did it go?
Garnet: It ran away
Amethyst: dang it!
Steven then begins to rethink the creatures actions as he comes up with his own theory
Steven: Uh guys it didn't really attack us?
Pearl: Steven it went through enough effort to break your bubble
Steven: Well yeah but I think it was after the gem that poofed.....It wanted them
Amethyst: Yeah who was that anyway do you know Pearl?
Pearl: N-no Idea
Pearl looks away as the group start to move to the Warp pad but as they do Steven keeps trying to explain the creatures actions
Steven: That gem seemed really close to the shard spider maybe their friends? Once they got them back they just ran away no even bothering to fight us!?
Garnet: Steven you may be right but what I need to know right now is what the cluster is Peridot will explain that later
Peridot: I suppose I have to
Garnet: And if that......thing is friendly it made a mistake
Steven: And whats that?
Garnet: It made Sapphire doubt herself and tricked her using future vison
Amethyst: oooo Garnets mad!
Pearl: But that also proves that it is intelligent?.........
Garnet: Ok Steven if it makes you happy next time we will try and talk to it............maybe
They then all get on the warp pad and go away as they have a bigger problem to worry about but for Y/n more shards to help
