Zara's pov
Saying I'm sore when I wake up is an absolute understatement
The man wasn't lying when he said I would regret saying he can do anything...well I don't regret shit but my body is telling me other stories
I also realized on our date Enzo said the next person he has sex with he's planning on spending the rest of his life with...so does he still feel that way?
I don't have time to think too much into it because I see Enzo stir in his sleep and start waking up
"Good morning," Enzo says in a raspy sleepy voice
"morning "I whisper
"How are you feeling?" He asks and I can tell he's genuine with the question
"Really sore but fine," I say
"I'm sorry, I did say you would regret giving me the power to do anything" he smiles weakly
"Well I don't regret shit but whatever my body will get over the pain" I roll my eyes
And he laughs
"I'm guessing dance practice with me is canceled today?" He laughs
"That would be an understatement" i smile while laughing
He gets up and takes me with him to the bathroom
"YIKES" I yelp when he placed me on the counter
We start brushing our teeth
He laughs "last time this happened we were in Hawaii" he shakes his head
"I really wanted to tell you I love you in the bathroom but felt like it was the wrong moment" he smiles weakly
"Yeah you have no idea how many times I wanted to scream out I love you but I didn't want you to think I was saying it because you were making me feel good or wiping my tears away and pep-talking me," I say sighing
"I get that...but don't think for one second I'll stop doing all that," he says
"I'll always be your biggest supporter and best friend...apart from Ava of course" he smiles
"Don't tell Ava but your definitely my best friend" i whisper
"She is to its just she's a different kind of best friend to you" I laugh
"it's our little secret," he says kissing my lips slowly, i cup his face with my hands pulling him closer
Because I can.
It's so weird to finally kiss him
But it's the best feeling
I then wrap my arms around his neck and legs around his waist
He picks me up
And he leads us downstairs
"So how long are we staying in Italy for?" I ask as Mia, him, and I are eating breakfast
"A bit over a week," he says
And I nod
"I just want my parents to be able to see mia a little more, and I want to show you around Italy" he smiles
And I return the smile
"I'm a little nervous for the ball, I mean it's a real ball, Like in the books I read I just can't believe it's real" I sigh
He chuckles "it's very real sweetheart, and I go to those dances almost every year but never have taken anyone with me except Mia, so trust me when I say theres nothing you need to be nervous about " he smiles
"it's mostly just a work thing with my dad's business and I'll never leave your side Trust me," he says grabbing my hand
"I mean I'm nervous but excited, do I get like a ballgown or something" I laugh as a joke
"Obviously, my mother has already put together some choices for you and when we get there you'll try them on and see which one you like best, and she has like hair people and shit as well," he says
"wow, your mother is actually going through all this trouble for me?" I say shocked
I mean she told me over the phone a bit ago she was going to have some stuff ready and I don't need to worry about anything but I wasn't aware it was to this extent
"My mother adores you like you're her daughter" he smiles caressing my chin looking deeply in my eyes
And it absolutely melts my heart, Sophia is the sweetest woman I've met and I feel like she's more of a mother to me than my own
I start tearing up "I'll need to thank her then" i whisper
"The only way you'll be able to really thank her is by being at the ball... my mother won't stop talking about how excited she is that your coming" Enzo laughs shaking his head
"You're lucky to have such amazing parents" I smile fully knowing he might say something about mine but I don't give a shit
"We're yours not?" He asks his facial expression lacing with confusion
Called it.
"Not really, they kind of sucked on the parenting side" I shrug
"But it's alright" I shrug once again
He grabs my hand "I'm sorry sweetheart"
"I mean I honestly feel like your mother is more, my mother, than my own" I laugh weakly
"Well I'm glad you have her then" he gives me a sad smile
"Me too, your mothers absolutely amazing Enzo" I smile
"You know she's been nagging me about when your gonna get your head out of your ass and finally kiss me" I laugh
He starts laughing shaking his head "only my mother"
"Wait, Im going to need to update her that you did in fact kiss me...but that I am the one who created the atmosphere for you to kiss me in" I smirk
He rolls his eyes "whatever" he laughs
I kiss his cheek standing up and groaning a little from the soreness
"You fine?" He smirks a little but I can tell he's genuinely asking
I snort "yeah I will be," I say giving him a peck on the lips
And then giving Mia who has been in her own world eating her pancakes playing with her barbie dolls a peck on her cheek
"I'm gonna go call Sophia I'll be back soon," I say smiling at Enzo before heading upstairs
And while I'm walking it's that moment I realize how many damn steps there are here, I mean shit I practically crawl upstairs
And I hear him say "see you in at least 2 hours! My mother is going to freak out with excitement with us kissing," he says laughing
And I shake my head laughing continuing up the stairs, knowing he's absolutely right
(Phone call with Sophia)
Sophia: oh hi sweetie, How are you? How was Hawaii!?
Zara: hi! It was wonderful thanks for asking, how are you?
Sophia: oh I'm absolutely great! I was actually just fixing up your room for when you come!
Zara: thank you that's very sweet, and also just thank you in general for everything it means a lot to me
Sophia: Oh it's no problem hun, I just absolutely adore you and seeing how happy you make Enzo makes me even happier
Zara: speaking of Enzo...
Sophia: did he get his head out of his ass yet?
Zara: *laughs* actually yes he did! I went to him to learn how to dance for the ball and we confessed our feelings and he finally freaking kissed me
And a few other things but I'm sure his mother doesn't need the dirty details...
Sophia: OH FINALLY, I knew it was going to happen soon I could feel it, I could tell that boy was smitten over you even when we came for thanksgiving
Sophia: ANTONIO!! They finally kissed
Sophia shouts to him in the background
Zara: *laughs*
Antonio : THAT'S GREAT HUN, Tell them I said hi and we can't wait to see them and Mia, and also tell that dumbass of a son to call me I need to speak business with him
Sophia to Antonio : OH YOU SHUSH! Give the kid a break he works so hard
Antonio: YEAH YEAH! Just tell him to call me soon
Sophia to Antonio : OKAY OKAY
Sophia: sorry about that sweetie...so tell me how Hawaii was
And we talk for a while catching up with each other, it's nice to talk to her, it genuinely feels like she's my mother and I'm telling her about my day and it's a nice feeling
I never got to experience a motherly figure who actually cares to know about my day, so talking to Sophie a couple times a week like a mother and daughter would, feels really nice
She genuinely cares to know how I am and I have found myself tearing up each time I end a call with her because It reminds me of the motherly love I never got
After I end the call with Sophia, I sit on the bed for a bit trying to get myself off the bed but my legs refuse
"ENZO CAN YOU COME HERE" I scream out to him
A minute later he walks into the room
"What's wrong" he asks
"Can you take me downstairs I'm not walking down there, I barely made it up here" I groan
He laughs walking up to me "that bad huh?" He smirks slightly
I slap his chest playfully "shut it and help me"
He gives me a kiss "how is my mom" he asks picking me up bridal style
"She's great, oh and your dad asked you to call him for business or something"
He nods his head, and sits me on the couch
"Are you busy today?" I ask smiling
"Well I have to get to work more towards the end of the day but other then that not really" he shrugs
I pull on his hands so he can sit on the couch
"Then we're watching a movie" I smile
"Okay but no Disney" he quickly says
I start laughing "I love Disney" i grin
He rolls his eyes "congratulations sweetheart but I don't need Mia and you forcing me to watch Disney, the amount we watch with Mia is enough" he sighs with a slight pout
"Okay I promise no Disney" I laugh kissing his pout
After debating for a while we decided on watching criminal minds
Enzo quickly went and made sure Mia was fine, he ended up turning on some Disney movie in her room while she was playing with her toys
He came back and I laid my head on his lap, and he started playing with my hair
I sighed in content as I put a blanket over me and partially Enzo
"I love you Enzo" i whisper sleepily as we watch the 3rd episode
"I love you Zara" he says kissing the top of my head
I take his hands and kiss his knuckles and then start playing with his rings
It's so surreal to finally be able to tell him I love him after wanting to scream it out loud so many times
I can finally kiss him as well whenever I want to
"Why are you smiling, a family just got brutally murdered" he raises a brow looking at the screen quickly
I laugh
"Don't tell me are you secretly a murder" he laughs
"Yep totally in fact I'm actually a mafia queen" i say sarcastically while laughing
He has a strange look on his face for a spilt second before it disappears and he laughs
"Okay and how do you know so much about the mafia miss queen" he raises a brow
"I read, though I'm pretty sure mafias aren't accurate in books but whatever the men are absolutely hot with there knives and guns" I laugh
He has a brow raised "you think the mafia is hot?" He laughs
"Not the mafia in itself you big dummy, just the hot men, plus it's not like I know anyone personally in the mafia so I can't exactly say anything can i" I laugh
He hums in response
"And by the way I was smiling because I was thinking about how it's weird to finally be able to kiss you and tell you I love you after wanting to for the longest time" I smile
"Yeah, it's pretty weird but I'm happy to finally be out of that damn friendship zone shit" he laughs
"Same" I smile
He pulls me up so I'm sitting on his lap
He cups my cheeks and gives me a long sweet kiss on my lips
"You have no idea how many times I wanted to do that when we were watching movies together" he says against me lips
"To bad you didn't I really like kissing you" I laugh against his lips
"I would have except I didn't know if you felt that same way that I did, and I didn't want to risk losing you as Mia's nanny so I would've taken you as a friend rather then nothing" he smiles giving my lips a peck
"True, Well now you can do it whenever you want" I smile kissing his lips before nuzzling myself into the crook of his neck
He pulls me closer wrapping his arms around me, I move the blanket so it's over both of us and sigh in content
He's my source of happiness, love, and safety
Never in my life would I have thought my life would go from a nightmare to a fairytale
In my story Enzo is my Prince Charming rescuing me from the nightmares of my past and giving me happiness
And I just can't wait for what the future holds for us
