Life wasn't something I feel is important. Fun or easy. It's hard and exhausting.
My mother wakes me at the crack of dawn. Before the alarm on my headboard can go off, she pulls me off the mattress and to the washroom. I yawn as mum turns on the shower and pushes me underneath.
"Wash up, we've got places to be." Mum instructs as the water pelts on top of my head.
Wiping the streams from my eyes, I tilt my chin back and grab the shampoo.
I've learned never to question my mother or father. Simply do as they say. Follow their orders.
Omegas don't get freedom. Don't get education.
They are taught to be traditional muggle housewives from the nineteen-fifties.
Drenching my hair in shampoo and conditioner. I wash the expanse of my body before I'm pulled out of the shower and mum dries me off with a quick air spell.
"Open your eyes."
I do, feeling as she pulls the eyelids back and places a contact in each of my eyes. They water, burning from the contacts before I'm allowed to blink.
She has me clean my face and teeth before handing off a pair of clothing to me. I pull on the stuffy fabric on top of my boxer briefs and the undershirt.
The suit is tight around my sides and tugs at my thighs. It's uncomfortable as mum tucks the black shirt into the trousers before buckling the belt and pulling up the black suit jacket.
I'm sat on the toilet lid before Sleekeazy is wrapped in my ratted hair. It's not as if I wanted dad's hair, but still, mum mutters her normal complaints about the tuffed black strands as she flattens them and pushes the overgrown bangs back on my head.
I feel her flatten my bangs when the scar on my forehead shows. Mum has never liked it, always complaining I'd hurt myself. I don't know how I got it, but it doesn't matter.
Mum says it, it's my fault and every time I do apologize.
She tugs me to my feet, before fixing the calic standing to attention. Washing her hands, mum spreads gloss on my lips and powders the bags underneath my eyes.
"Put on your good shoes." She says.
We walk out of the bathroom, and I grab the pair of dress shoes in my dresser. Tugging them on, I tie the laces and walk down the stairs.
Dad is sipping coffee from one of his named mugs in the cabinet.
"We're leaving." Mum says.
Dad hums, kissing mum before she walks to me and takes me out the front door.
We spin and I'm tugged at the navel into a Side-Along Apparation. I squint, the lack of protection from my glasses making the whipping air burn my eyes before we've landed outside a large iron gate.
I stare across the wide land as the iron gates creak at a pattern mum waves with her wand.
Ducking my head, I take a step behind mum as we walk across the gravel pathway to the towering Manor.
I've been here before. Once when mum and dad first joined as Death Eaters. Being their only child at the time, I was introduced to the outer court then the inner circle.
It was the one time they properly introduced me to anyone. Afterwards I was left at home whilst they brought my siblings —Lila, Gabriel, Luke, and Max.
Mum knocks on the front door, before it creaks open. A House-elf stares up at mum with large tennis ball green eyes.
"I've come for the meeting with the Dark Lord." Mum says.
The House-elf lowers his head and cracks the door wider. Mum steps in, ushering me after her. The House-elf closes the door and skitters in front of us to show us to the Dark Lord.
I'd never cared to wonder who this Dark Lord is. Their presence affects my life in only that my parents choose him over the man named Dumbledore who once came around.
We step across a wide-expanse staircase to the third floor where mum was showcased to a large wooden door. It doesn't stand out across the other rows of doors.
Mum knocks and the House-elf steps aside as the door creaks open. She walks in, and I tentatively step inside behind her.
Mum curtsies within the threshold and I bow. The door isn't even shut before mum is kissing the carpeted floor.
"Potter." A man's voice rings. It's chilling and reminds me of dads when Luke and Max break something.
I reframe from moving as my shoulders tense when a red curse flies above both of our heads. Mum sucks in a breath, her stance minutely wobbles when the curse cuts out.
"Step further."
She stands, and steps farther into the office. I glance through my fringe as the red curse fires off again. Mum screams as it hits her chest, and her knees crack against the carpet before it cuts off once more.
"Tell me your purpose for putting yourself in my presence."
Mum pants, attempting to move past the pain of the Cruciatus curse. "I—I come with a plea, my lord."
He doesn't speak, and I expect him to hurt her with another Cruciatus curse.
Mum continues, "My son—" She's cut off with another scream at the impact of the red curse. "My son is an Omega. He could bear your children."
Excuse me?
The heat of my mother's words settle into my bones. I'm not surprised, of course mum and dad would use me if it benefitted them. But to a man like the Dark Lord.
I don't care for him, but I was born when mum and dad were still active Order members. The stories they shared at dinner weren't those of happy memories but death and torture and pain.
Currently mum was repeatedly forced to sit through the Cruciatus curse because of this man.
And yet, she and dad were attempting to sell me off with the promise of what?
Another day to breathe. Protection against the Order? What made this situation so dire?
Closing my eyes briefly, I open them as the Cruciatus curse passes above my head. I pause at it matches at my shoulder, only an inch from my skin.
"Take the boy from my sight."
"My lord." Mum stutters to a halt when a green curse snaps at her knees.
There is no further complaint as mum stands and digs her nails into my arm. I stand, walking out behind her from the office.
The House-elf bows before us, before walking the way to the front door.
"Away." A man snaps.
I watch as the House-elf snaps his fingers and disappears.
"Lucius." Mum mutters, before her nails are yanked from my bicep and in place a different firm touch comes to my opposite arm.
I glance to my mother, watching as Lucius Malfoy shoves her toward his side and spins on his heel. There's a crack, before I'm shoved in the man and the same tug pulls at my navel.
I don't argue as the man shows me up to the new steps in front of us. He opens a door, shoves me in and I watch as the door disappears as he closes it.
I'm locked into a simple bedroom.
Twisting around, I watch the fireplace burning with dancing flames. The stone has less of a chill with the burning air as I take in the Queen fourposter bed with two dark covered pillows and a simple black duvet. A single nightstand holds a lamp and near it is a curtained window.
There is a single door, I open to see a simple black tiled washroom, before I step to the curtains and moving them to the window.
It's a vertical two panel sill I attempt to lift but it's stuck. Spelled closed as I try to yank it open before sighing and stepping away.
Sighing, I run my fingers through my hair, ruffling the style mum had forced it with the Sleekeazy potion.
Opening the washroom door, I pull off the suit jacket and roll the sleeves of my black shirt to my elbows and rinse the potion out of my hair. It sticks to my neck as I grab one of the hand towels near the shower and rub the water from the strands.
Walking back into the main bedroom, I plop myself onto the bed and wrap the towel around my nape.
Sighing, I glance at the curtained window. Maybe I could pick up the lamp and try to break the glass. With the wards around the room, I doubt it would do anything but break the lamp. And it's an ugly lamp.
Maybe I should break the ugly lamp anyway.
Slumping onto the bed, I lay my stomach on the bed and stare around the simple bedroom.
If the Dark Lord didn't care for mum and dad's offer, why was I here? I surely haven't had my face flaunted enough for someone my dad and mum follow to take real interest in me.
Even Dumbledore didn't take special interest in me when he was still welcomed into my family home. Before my siblings were born, of course, because mum and dad didn't want any contradictions for my siblings.
I sigh, rolling onto my back and blinking against the ceiling. My stomach growls, and I frown.
Had I ate breakfast? No, mum made us leave the moment I had my proper clothes and shoes on.
Running my fingers through my hair, I wish I was back home.
I had things to do there instead of laying on this bed and being bored out of my damn mind. Mum nor dad knew how Lila liked her toast. Or that Luke and Max drink orange juice instead of milk. That Gabriel tried to eat everyone's food before it was properly plated.
Staying in this room made me itch to get back and see my siblings eat correctly. They were nightmares if not given their correct meals at the correct times.
I gasp, jumping when someone touches my throat. Long fingers wrapping around my Adam's apple as I'm shoved back into the mattress.
I suck in a breath, pressing my lips together as my eyes pop open to watch the towering man as he squeezes my throat.
"Are you going to scream?"
I stare, unblinking as his fingers tighten. Wrapping around my pulse point and squeezing until a black line blurs into my vision.
My heart beats erratically as I force my breathing to calm and try not to overreact as my lungs stutter around the beginning of my breathes slowing.
The hand removes from my throat when the black crowds and my head lights. I suck in a harsh breath, keeping down a cough as I push myself into a sitting position. My head swims as I blink away the black dots.
My hair is grasped and pulled so harshly I'm forced back onto the mattress. The man grasps my jaw as his fingers twist in my hair and makes me nearly flinch.
I hold down my reaction as the man forces our eyes to meet. His eyes a terrifying crimson, the irises the slit of a predatory snakes.
I feel his consciousness barge into my mind, cycling as I daze across the unblinking assault. I wince this time when the sudden connection breaks and pain explodes behind my eyes.
The man's fingers untwist from my hair, palm patting against my hurting scalp. I'm pushed into a sitting position, before I'm twisted around on the bed.
A finger curls underneath my chin as I scrub at my eyes. He pulls my hands away and wrench my eyelids open.
I feel the contacts being taken out before my eyes water and the cool metal of my glasses slip onto my nose.
I touch them before my hair is wrenched back and I try to twist away from his eyes. Fearing another assault before he pushes our gazes together.
"Are you aware your parents sold you to me?" He asks, speaking to me for the first time.
I nod, swallowing heavily in anticipation to be choked again.
"Good. As your mine you will follow my desires now. Anything your parents have to say is to be ignored, I am the only one you will listen to. Is that understood?"
I nod.
"Words, Omega." His fingers slap against my cheek. "You will answer me with your words."
"Yes." I mutter.
He releases me, stepping back from my person.
"When the door appears, you leave this room."
"Okay." I say.
I watch as the Dark Lord turns and the black robes twist around him until he's gone from the bedroom.
I feel my throat, shaking as I grab the hand towel and walk back into the washroom. Pulling the collar of my shirt down, I check for marks and relax when I don't see any bruises.
It's harder to cover marks when I have to use cosmetics. Putting the hand towel down, I step out the washroom and pause.
There's a pair of clothes on the bed. The duvet neat once more as I hesitantly pull the clothes. There a casual t-shirt and shorts.
I wonder if this is what purebloods wear; seeing that's the kind of people who follow the Dark Lord mainly.
I tug off my clothes, checking the bedroom for watching eyes as I switch my clothes and fold my suit. The pieces of clothing vanish when I put them on the single nightstand.
Those were my only good clothes too. I frown in disappointment as I turn to the bed and find a tray of food where the clothes had been.
How the hell is all this appearing?
Again, I check for watching eyes before hesitantly grabbing the tray and step to the fireplace. Crossing my legs on the carpet, I pull grab the soup bowl and dunk the spoon into it. It's hot, and I gag when my tongue burns. But it's good and something I didn't have to make.
Quickly I drink the broth and scoop out the onions and chicken.
Drowning the water, I eat the bread and place the tray onto the nightstand. Only for it to vanish as well.
I turn but a door doesn't appear. Sighing, I push myself onto the bed and watch the wall for a door to appear.
Maybe a door wasn't going to appear and this was my ivory tower. A stupid ivory tower and I will smash the window if that's how this'll work.
Maybe I do have to be a Dark Lords trophy. But an ivory tower isn't what I want. If I was supposed to be a trophy, maybe he can hire me for cleaning duty or something.
Already I'm bored and I was nearly choked not thirty minutes ago.
I sigh, closing my eyes as I worry about my siblings again. I ate and I have a change of clothes. But are they wearing matching socks and did Lila try sneaking spiders into Gabriel's sneakers again.
My muscles feel heavy and I yawn against the alert feeling. Trying to sense for the door or watching eyes.
It all blurs, and I don't know when it happens. But the consciousness escapes from me.
