This is my first LorEd chapter.. the storyline focuses on the ending of Annabelle Comes Home
As a beautiful afternoon continues, Judy and her guests enjoys the food upstairs.. meanwhile Lorraine and Daniela had a quick chat by the artifact room..
Lorraine:You know, when I was about your age, I once ran off with a boyfriend for three days without telling my parents.
[chuckles]
Daniela:I unleashed a demon.So not the same thing.
Lorraine:Well, okay. True.
[both chuckle]
(They both slowly walked back upstairs)
Daniela:Does Mr. Warren know about this boyfriend?
Lorraine: "He was the boyfriend." (she says as she blushes a bit upon reminiscing the past)
A silent night began as Lorraine just finished tucking Judy in bed.. she gently kisses her forehead.. and covers her with her blanket.. then she exited the room.. walking through the hallway, her nose come across a sweet scent.. she turned to the left and saw her charming husband.. sitting by the table with two cups of warm tea..
Ed: I put the sugar this time 😏..(he smirks as he set the cups by the table)
Lorraine: thanks Hun..
(She kisses his cheek and sat beside him)
Ed: I never saw her that happy since we took her to the fair
Lorraine: right.. hehehe.. I'm just glad she made friends
(She took a big sip of her tea and stares in the distance)
Ed: what are you thinking about?
Lorraine: oh nothing.. just me and Daniela had an early chat back there.. and she asked, if you knew who that boyfriend I run away for 3 days
Ed: then what did you say? 🤭(He smirks at her)
Lorraine: I said that.. you are that boyfriend.. now quit staring at me like that 🤭
Ed: I can't help it.. you're always cute when you blush.. You were as cute as the 1st time we met..
(Flashback*)
Lorraine and her friends just got out of school and decided to watch the theater.. at first, her parents wouldn't let her.. but eventually they did, with the help of her friends
Dad: be here before 10pm ok?
Lorraine: yes dad.. don't worry I'll be fine...
Mom: be safe ok? Love you!
Lorraine: ok!!love you both!
(She giggles as she enters her friends car.. on the way to the theater she sings songs from the radio.. laugh and talk of certain things)
Kate: so.. when are you gonna have a boyfriend Rainey?
Lorraine: I don't know.. just haven't found the One yet.. besides if I had found one.. my parents would kill me hahaha.. you know how they are..
Anne: yeah yeah.. it's not like your gonna tell them
Lorraine: I'll end up telling them anyway.. I can't hide stuff from them so.. I might as grow old alone.. Hahaha
(Finally they arrived at the theater)
Lorraine: remember guys just one movie ok? I need to be home before 10 or else I'm sleeping in the porch..
Anne: fineee.. hopefully it won't rain.. or else you'll be soaking wet sleeping in the porch.. hahaha
Lorraine: let's just go pls..
(The three girls walk inside.. buying some movie tickets of their choice.. as she walks behind her friends she took one last look at her purse before looking up, gazing into some beautiful blue eyes.. stopping at her tracks as they exchange some long gazes)
Kate: Lorraine?! Let's go.. just hand in that ticket already.. the movie's about to start..
(She quickly obeys and upon handing it, she felt his hand glides a bit in hers.. she didn't know if he did it on purpose or it was just a coincidence.. before going in she took one final look at him before being drag inside by her two friends.. they took a seat just few meters away from the door.. setting her things down.. she focus her eyes on the screen)
Ed: your popcorn miss..
(With eyes glued to the screen she answered without looking at the person beside her)
Lorraine: uhhh.. I think you got the wrong person.. I didn't ordered any.. (eyes still not leaving the screen)
Ed: I know, but it's on the house, Lorraine..
(Upon hearing her name, her eyes shifted to her left and landing on to another blue pair)
Lorraine: how did you know my name? (She whispered)
Ed: I heard it when your friend called you..
Lorraine: ok? Thanks for the popcorn..
Ed: welcome.. I'm Ed by the way.. (he extends his hand to her)
Lorraine: I'm Lorraine
Ed: I know
Lorraine: ohhh.. right.. hehehe sorry.. can I help you with something?
Ed: well.. now that you mentioned it, I would like to know if you want to get some ice cream later after the movie.. I won't take No for an answer
Lorraine: I'm sorry.. I would love to, but I can't.. I have a curfew
Ed: pls? Just one scoop 🥺 that's all..
Lorraine: uhhhh?
Man: hey Warren.. get back to work!
Ed: just a second sir.. so? Is that a Yes?
(She smiled not knowing what to say)
Ed: I'll take that as a Yes..😊.. I'll meet you outside..
(He dashes out of the door with a smile on his face.. as for her she couldn't help to smile a bit as well.. a few minutes later the movie ended a bit early than they expected.. so she and the girls walk outside talking about it)
Kate: Rainey.. you have a visitor
Lorraine: what? (She turned and sees him waiting by the side of the booth)
Ed: let's go?
Lorraine: I thought you were just joking around
Anne: go for it..
Lorraine: are you kidding me? I barely even know him
Kate: so? He waited a long time just for you.. are you just gonna leave him hanging? Gooo!
Lorraine: what about my curfew?
Kate: I'm sure he has a car.. he'll drive you home
Lorraine: what?
(As fast as flash both Kate and Anne ran and ditch her)
Anne: tell me all about it tomorrow.. love youuuu.!!
Lorraine: really guys 🤦
Ed: so? Shall we?
Lorraine: hehehe.. looks like I don't have a choice.. you do have a car right?
Ed: no..
Lorraine: what?!
Ed: Kidding.. of course I do.. let's go? It's not far from here..let's just walk..
Lorraine: ok.. Lead the way
(The walk to the ice cream shop was silent, she was afraid to say wrong words that can upset him.. so he started the conversation)
Ed: so? Ever been out of this place?
Lorraine: to be honest.. I've been here since I was little.. my parents are very conservative.. so I don't get to travel a lot
Ed: well you should add that to your bucket list.. if you need a getaway guy.. I'll be here..hahaha
Lorraine: hahaha.. you're a joker aren't you..so is this it?
Ed: yup.. what flavor would you like?
Lorraine: hmmm.. all taste good.. hmmm
Ed: I'm more of a Cookies and Cream person
Lorraine: no way.. that's my fav flavor..
Ed: then C&C it is..
(They sat on a bench. And seems to enjoy each other's company)
Lorraine: do you have watch?
Ed: yeah
Lorraine: what time is it?
Ed: oh.. it's quarter to 10
Lorraine: oh shoot.. only 15 mins till my curfew..
(She hurriedly eats her ice cream and asked if they could go home.. he agreed so they walked back.. just a few walks back to his car rain started to pour.. soaking them both.. he used his jacket covering them both as they find shelter on a cozy gazebo)
Lorraine: oh... My parents would kill me if this rain won't stop anytime soon🥺
Ed: hey.. quit worrying, I'm sure they'll understand
Lorraine: if you have met my parents.. you'll understand
Ed: they sound interesting already.. hey how about a dance? Just to get your mind in ease.. shall we madame?
Lorraine: we shall.. hahaha
(She took his hand as he wrap his arms by her waist and she pulls him close by his neck.. they rock slowly side by side looking at each other's eyes)
Ed: your eyes are so beautiful.. it feels entrapping.. once you stare it's hard to get out..
Lorraine: awww.. thank you Shakespeare.. you know what.. I never noticed your eyes as well till now.. it looks so welcoming.. you should show it more.. just let me get this hair out of the way.. anddd.. Voila!
(She giggles as she pushed his hair back.. he did the same as well)
Ed: can I ask you a question?
Lorraine: what?
Ed: if I kiss you right now.. would you kiss me back?
Lorraine: huh?😳
(Surprise by his question.. she didn't expect him to lean in, going for her lips.. She closed her eyes just going with the flow..as she felt his warm lips against her... She immediately melted onto him.. catching their breaths.. they rest their foreheads onto each other.. just sulking up why just happened.. and miraculously the rain stopped.. giving Lorraine a plenty of time to make it back to her house)
(Riding back to her house was filled with lots of talks and familiarity with each other)
Lorraine: here's my stop..
Ed: that's one beautiful house, as beautiful as the owner😍
Lorraine: awww.. thanks for complementing my dad
Ed: that's not what I meant..
Lorraine: I know.. hahaha.. thanks for the beautiful evening.. see you around..
Ed: likewise.. still serious about the bucketlist you know.. you should explore other places sometimes..
Lorraine: we'll see... hahaha good night Mr. Warren
(she scurried along inside smiling so happily as she runs quietly by the stairs she saw her parents by the table)
Dad: what time is it?
Lorraine: just a 5 mins till 10
Dad: exactly.. why can't you be obedient like the neighbor's kids huh? and who was that person who took you home? I know it wasn't Kate's car.. so who is it?
Lorraine: just a new friend I met back at the theater
Dad: do I know that person? What's his last name?
Lorraine: dad can we not do this right now? I'm already tired.. and soak in rain water..
Dad: stop making excuses! God lorraine.. how many times did I told you not to talk to strangers huh?
Lorraine: you told me many times dad.. are you gonna expect me to always obey? how can I make friends then? How can I live my life knowing every move I make is wrong in your eyes!😠🥺
Dad: what did you say?
Mom: hun that's enough.. Lorraine just go to your pls..
( she stomped her way upstairs.. slamming her doors real hard.. and crying by the floor.. Her weak sobs can be heard outside... Ed silents down by his car hearing the argument that just happened.. after taking a quick shower Lorraine changed and sat by her desk.. opening her notebook.. writing random stuff she heard small crackles by her window.. she turn around and saw tiny pebbles being thrown by her windows.. she stands and and towards it, and saw him sitting outside of her window)
Lorraine: what are you doing here? (she whisper shout at him)
Ed: just wanna make sure if you're ok.. (he comes in through her window)
Lorraine: what do you mean?
Ed: I heard
Lorraine: How much?
Ed: almost all of it..
Lorraine: ughhh.. I'm sorry..
Ed: don't be.. they are just doing that to protect you..
Lorraine: well that's too of a protection.. God you sometimes I just wish that sometimes they'll actually listens to me.. get me a bit of freedom.. travel the world without being attacked by harsh words..
Ed: well you could do that if you want to, you know..
Lorraine: how?
Ed: 🙂come with me.. and I'll show you what you're missing out on..
Lorraine: what? but-- what about my parents?
Ed: well it's up to you.. you have to decide for yourself if, you stay here and be the obedient perfect girl they want you to, or you come with me and I'll show the the world..
(she thought hard.. wanting to chase her dreams she began packing a few clothes to her bag.. he help her down quietly by the window and they both rode his car)
Lorraine: this might sound crazy but..I feel soooooo ALIVE!!!!!!!
( she yells out the window.. Ed laughes joining her as well)
Ed: woooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
Lorraine: I LOVE THIS GUYYYYY..... He's MY BOYFRIEND!!!!
(Ed suddenly stopped the car)
Lorraine: what's wrong?
( he didn't answer her, he just went in for her lips)
Ed: I love you too..
(they both drove off)
Ed: before anything else we need to find a place to crash on..
Lorraine: how about there
(she points to the shore)
Ed: ok.. the shore it shall.. would you mind staying here while I'll go find us something to eat?
Lorraine: sure..
(a few minutes later he returned with bags full of food he bought from the nearby shop)
Ed: here.. hope you don't mind eating junk foods for dinner
Lorraine: are you kidding me? I always wanted to try having a not so healthy dinner.. thanks..
(tiredness found them both and they end up falling asleep by each other)
(On their day one, Ed took him to the Fair.. they played games till their tired.. The next day he took her hiking and sightseeing... Finally on the third day.. it became the best day of her life cuz she and Ed went to some roller skating place.. he taught her how to properly execute one.. finally they end their day by laying on top of his car, looking at the beautiful night sky)
Lorraine: thank you
Ed: for what?
Lorraine: for everything.. for the past 3 days feels like heaven... And I'm grateful spending it with you..
Ed: well.. we could continue it if you want to..
Lorraine: I can't.. my parents are probably looking for me.. I hate seeing them worried even tho they get to be so protective, I can't just disappear on them..
Ed: you miss them don't you?
Lorraine: from the moment we climbed out of the window.. I already did.. it's just, it makes me sad that I get to have fun like the without having them by my side😢🥺
Ed: tell you what? How about first thing in the morning.. I take you home?
Lorraine: you mean it?
Ed: if it makes you even more happier? Then sure.. I may not be able to see you after that.. but the 3 days was already enough for me to say.. I'll never give up pursuing you..
Lorraine: oh Ed...
(She scoots closer to him.. giving him a tight hug)
(And as Ed promises, first thing in the morning they drove back home.. stopping in front of her house, she felt nervous.. knowing when she walks inside a whole new level of anger will faced her)
Ed: what's wrong?
Lorraine: I don't know.. what of I walk in there and they throw me out? Disown me or something?
Ed: hey.. if they love you that much, they would forgive you and take you back.. and I they don't, then I got your back.. ALWAYS..
Lorraine: why do I get to be so lucky..
Ed: I don't know, you tell me.. one final kiss for the road?
Lorraine: what do you mean final? You're not going anywhere.. if I have to fight them just to keep you.. then so be it..
Ed: hehehe you're adorable.. come here..
(He lean in kissing her)
Lorraine: don't go nowhere ok? I'll be back..
(She got out of the car.. took a huge breath and walk inside, as soon as she walks up the porch the door already open, revealing her father with a photo of her, in his hands)
Lorraine: Dad? 🥺
Dad: Lorraine? Is it really you?🥺
Lorraine: yes😢
Dad: darling!! She's home!!
(Her mom rush to the door and immediately hugs her, and was followed by her father)
Lorraine: I'm so sorry for letting you guys worry.. I'm so sorry..
Mom: it's ok baby, the important thing is you're home..
Lorraine: I'm sorry Dad..
(She hugs her crying on his arms.. as he accepted her hug, his eyes fell on Ed watching them by his car.. Lorraine followed his gaze.. he smiles at her, then drove away, feeling like his job here is done.. Lorraine felt shocked inside as he drove off..)
Dad: who was that?
Lorraine: he is my boyfriend..
(For the past few weeks,she never saw him again.. she kept visiting the the theater hoping to see him there, but she was informed that he quit few days ago.. she walks sadly back home.. feeling empty inside.. missing him dearly she cried..as she raised her head she was surprised to find herself standing in front of the cozy gazebo they took shelter with the first time they met.. she walks inside, touching the post, reminiscing their lost moment.. to her surprised, a voice spoke behind her)
Ed: come here often?
(She turns seeing him with 2 cones of cookies and cream ice cream in hand)
(She ran towards him, slapping the smile off his face)
Ed: ummmm... You're welcome? Ouchh.. what was the for?
Lorraine: that's for disappearing on me for weeks.. leaving me cluelessly worrying and you--
(He didn't let her finished talking he just leaned in for her lips.. and stealing a few pecks)
Ed: I miss you too..😏
Lorraine: you sneaky.. give me that cone.. hahahaha and don't you there leave me again or else..
Ed: Yes mam.. come let's eat this before I melt over you . I mean before it melts hahaha..
*Back to reality
Lorraine laughs as she took the final sip of her tea.. turning to face her husband, she found him already sleeping beside her.. she smiles and gets up to clean the table.. coming back with pillows and a blanket in hand.. she gently lifts Ed's head inserting the pillow for his head support by the tables.. placing her chair next to him, she covers him with the blanket she then wraps her hand around his torso and cuddling closely to him)
Lorraine: I couldn't imagine living without you by my side.. Goodnight Mi Vida ❤️
(She kisses his forehead and fall asleep next to him.. as soon as she was unconscious, Ed opened his eyes and smiles at her.. wrapping his hand around her waist as well, he pulls her closer to him)
Ed: Goodnight Mi Corazon❤️
