what made you want to write craving? what inspired you?
I have been reading FF for ages now & naturally, whenever I start to watch a new anime or read a Manga & I like the characters, I look for FF. So when I saw TR, I obviously looked for a ff & was quite unsatisfied with the way the stories & protagonists were written. Very unrealistic, very much over the top or bland. I wanted to do something more for people closer to my age, something more adult & a tad bit more realistic.

how did you develop the type of character you wanted (Y/N) to be?
I took traits of myself, friends & family around me & combined them. I tried to make a (Y/N) that was more or less realistic with her thinking & her actions. Something that I missed in a lot of other FF, I decided to add into mine. Often times I read stuff where (Y/N) is either over the top whiny & super soft and almost dumbly naive, other times I read where she is all aggressive & cold because everyone kept treating her like shit. I wanted to show a character that, despite everything that had happened to her, was still standing strong & had a genuine smile plastered on her face while still healing from her trauma. Life gets hard sometimes & pushes us through trauma but at the end it is okay to cry & everyones allowed to smile & feel genuine happiness. I like creating strong & confident characters but they have to be the realistic strong & confident type. Showing that its not weak to cry, showing that you should speak your mind & showing that you are desirable. It made me genuinely so happy, seeing alot of people relate to the character!

how exactly did you start with writing? how do you overcome writers block?
Funny thing is, I started writing when I was 13 or 14 I think. I discovered Tumblr at that time & took it all in. My first written fan fiction was an EXO one shot (I do not remember which member, so please don't ask 😰) & even though my english was rather bad & I in general was bad at writing fluently, I had quite a good amount of likes on it & people started to request more & more one shots. I stopped writing when I turned 18 cause I simply lost the fun in it & I felt rather awkward but started again when the pandemic started & thought, 'fuck it.. it's a talent I have & why should I waste it, let me share my imagination with others who may or may not like it'. I never even thought that I would get that much of a response cause I more or less write because I have fun with it. Like, even if my book would've gotten 10 reads only, I would be content with it cause I'm doing it because I genuinely like it.
To the writers block, I simply just take a few days off. Stop thinking about the story & just do other things. Watch anime, read Mangas & books, draw & watch videos on youtube & so on. That way I naturally get Ideas again. I don't know, my brain works kinda funny in those departments. I even simply get inspiration from looking at a picture or at work from doing something or talking to a customer. Thats why I genuinely don't know how to answer this properly.

how did you come up with the plot of craving?did you had a basic plot idea for the entire story since the beginning or was it developed over time?
The plot simply came to me one day at work. I was folding clothes when I suddenly went, 'what would happen, if Bonten walked in & wanted to buy clothes here'. I always have bizarre random thoughts, my mind likes to run wild with imaginations. So when this thought hit me, in combination with feelings of being unsatisfied with other stories, I immediately wrote it down in my notebook. Before I wrote the first chapter I wanted to establish a plot route. Meaning, I thought roughly through what I want to happen, like the 'stripper' mission, the pet shop & the escape plan & so on.

Did you intend for this book to be this long or did you just kept getting more and more ideas?
I never intended for this book to be actually this long & now even longer with a second season coming up. After all, I had all the plot laid out but I didn't thought that all those 'arcs' & stuff would take up so many chapters. I sometimes forget myself that I like to write everything a bit too detailed because I like to bring my stuff across & understandable. Oops 😅
But there are drafts that didn't make it into the story or that I changed up plot vice because I didn't like the first draft & Idea. I might upload a few into the one shot book! ☺️

Since you had a planned ending, will it change? Now that you're making a second book.
No, the ending will still be the same! The second book is like an extension for this one cause there's still so much plot to write down!

Do you have an estimated or expected amount of chapters for the second book?
Not really. As mentioned in another question, I never intended to make this book this long but the way I write fills up so many chapters that I wouldn't be surprised if I hit the 100 chapters mark again..

you already said that craving will have an ending with each character (multiple happy endings). I was wondering if there would be a sad ending too? Will she end up with one of them or all? are Haruka, Baipā and Madame Rouge also options?
I received the question over & over, who will (Y/N) end up with? Will she die? Will it be a happy or sad ending? I have mentioned quite awhile ago that I planned an ending that had multiple endings. This ending still stands. I cannot tell & I do not want to tell though if it will be sad or happy cause that is something everyone has to interpret for themselves at the end. For some it will be bittersweet & for some it will be sad or happy. What I can 100% tell you though is that I won't write a poly relationship (I'm personally very uncomfortable with those) & I'll mention this once, this IS a Bonten Fanfic, not an OC, not a Toman or any other character book but a Bonten. I think that subtly answers the question without spoiling the story 😌

which character was the most fun to writer?
I think in all honesty, (Y/N), cause I can freely write her. Writing the other characters like the Bonten executives or Kazutora & so on, gives me a sorta restriction cause I like to keep those characters as manga & personality based as possible. Of course I have to include some 'out of character'- moments for the development of the story but all in all, I'm more restricted than with (Y/N).

Honestly speaking, not really. I feel like it wouldn't be true to my concept, if that makes any sense at all!
