Zaras Pov
Today Enzo told me before I left for work he's in the mood to learn how to make some of the muffins his "muffin" makes him
I rolled my eyes at him but in reality, my stomach was filled with butterflies
So after he finishes work he's gonna head over here since I should already be done with work by then
I'm done with my shift when Enzo walks in, Ava is still here cleaning up and whatnot while everyone else has clocked out for the day
I walk up and hug him
"Hi, ready to make some muffins" I smile up at him
when I separate from the hug
"yes, Good thing I have a great teacher" he smiles
I blush
We're now In the back, trying to make muffins...keyword is trying because Enzo is more interested in putting the flour on my face...
"Excuse you!" I say
"What I did nothing" he smirks
I take some flour and put it on his face and smile
He kind of looks cute with flour all over his face
"your gonna regret that," he says in a playful tone
"Am I now?" I say
He hums in response and then puts more flour on my face
"HEY" I say
While grabbing flour and putting more on him
And then that turns into me running around the workstation we were at, running away from him as he chases me covering me with flour
We both laughed and covered in flour
And one point I'm up against the pantry door, with Enzo caging me in
We're both insanely close
He inches foreword
HOLY CRAP, Are we about to kiss
We are both inches away from each other and then merely a centimeter away
Our lips about to connect
"HEY ZARA, I'm clocking out for the day I finished with everything I needed to d- OH UMM WOOPS sorry for interrupting..." she says flustered
Well shit thanks a lot Ava perfect flipping timing on your part
We both step away from each other awkwardly
"It's fine" I clear my throat "I was just reaching Enzo how to make muffins" I laugh a little looking at the flour all over us
"AHHH...ya I can see that, I don't remember it using that much flour but okay" she laughs looking at the flour all over us
"Anywho...goodnight guys enjoy making your muffins" she laughs
And then smirks and wiggles her eyebrows when Enzo's looking away
Really Ava...there will be no wiggling of the eyebrows seeing as you ruined the moment completely
"Goodnight," I say
"Night Ava," Enzo says
Right now this is awkward...we literally almost just kissed
The hell do we do now? Act like it didn't happen? Do I go and just do it already
Ugh this is so awkward
But before I can think too much the oven beeps
"Right ok the ovens preheated so I guess we should finish the muffins, I'm sure Maria wants a break from watching Mia and I know mia would want some of these" I laugh
"Ok show me what to do," he says
I roll my eyes and come up to him with a towel wiping the flour off his face
"Right now we can start," I say
He grabs the towel from my hands and wipes the flour off my face
"No, now we can" he smiles
We continue making the muffins and I got to say I can't wait to leave because the tension is so high, I think we both don't know what to do in this situation with almost kissing
Enzo's pov
God Damn it...we were THIS close to kissing and Ava ruined the damn moment
Now we're making the muffins, the kitchen feels suddenly half the size, and the tension is clear in the air between us
I think both is us don't know what to do about the almost kiss
I would like to turn her around place her on the counter and kiss the vocabulary out of the girl but I'm trying to contain myself
The muffins are in the oven and we're just awkwardly waiting for them
I think both of us don't know what the hell to say, we already cleaned up everything from making the muffins so there is nothing left but to awkwardly wait around for them to be done
Shit...I Enzo Moretti don't get nervous around a damn girl, but she proves me wrong all the time
I don't know what the hell to do...do I ask her out?
Is this even the right moment to do that
I'm trying to think of what the hell to say to break the awkward tension, literally anything other than talking about what just happened but Zara beats me to it
"So I think you know Ava and Matt have a clear something something going on," she says with a sly smile
Where's this going?
"Yeah? What about it" I raise an eyebrow
"Well both of them a scared little shits who aren't making any moves SOO, Since we're their best friends I figure we should give them a helpful nudge" she smiles
I laugh "and what do u suggest we do?" I say
" I have the PERFECT plan, I thought of it last night, you know how we're going to the fair in a couple of days?" She says
"Yes...but let me remind you that Mia is coming along so we can't do any tripping them so they end up kissing shit," I say
She laughs like double over laughs "wait how do you say your cute in Italian" I roll my eyes at her comment
She's the damn cute one, not me
I sigh " II tuo Carino," I say
"Well I think your II tuo Carino" she giggles
And I smile
"No silly we're not doing any tripping of any sort, I was thinking we kind of put the tension high the whole night," she says
"Okay? How do we do that" I ask genuinely curious
"Okay so first we do things small like we tell them, let's try winning a toy for Mia or some shit, so they go play some games together and it's gonna be ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE And whatnot! Then we end the night with luring them onto the Ferris wheel, That's like KNOWN to be a hot kiss spot at the fair" she squeals, she's so cute when she's excited
"Okay that's not that bad of a plan," I say smiling at her
"No it's BRILLIANT" She beams
And I laugh
Such a cutie
The timer ends and she takes the muffins out
We end up packing them up and heading home
One thing for sure, I'll get my kiss with zara
