Taehyung threw his back against the chair after he drank the three espresso that day. He loosened his tie, combed his well trimmed hair with his fingers, then gently massaging his temple to relieve the dizziness. He was thinking about Jennie. He felt so guilty for having lied to her last night. He still had not dared to tell the truth. He was afraid that his confession would only make her jealous and might be able to destroy their household, although Jennie had never known Joy before
Yeah, Taehyung was sure that his wife didn't know about his past at all, because Joy was part of his past that no one dares to reveal it to his wife, including himself. He has long buried that pretty woman in his memory until finally she returned and forced him to re - looked at her
Tired. Taehyung frankly very tired of her, mentally. It took quite a long time for him to forget her, to accept the harsh reality and resumed his life. Until at least he found Kim Jennie, someone who was able to restore his life. Someone who has managed to heal the wounds in his heart that he thought it would be forever stay. Taehyung was successfully move on and be happy with Jennie whom he married wholeheartedly
Of course Joy's arrival was really unexpected. To be honest, Taehyung wasn't ready for this. Half of his heart was still questioned about her disappearance even though he didn't know if he still loves her or just curious. However, its presence successfully destroyed his heart that was well defined, with love from his beloved wife
His reverie dispersed when he heard someone knocking on his door. It was his co-partner, Jeon Jungkook
"Can I come in?" He popped his head through the door. Then went inside after his hyung nodded his head as an agreement
"Are you busy hyung?" He approached Taehyung's desk then sat in front of him
"Not really" Taehyung took aside some files that scattered on the table and put it all together in one stack
"Omg! You drank coffee?" Jungkook glanced towards the three empty cups of coffee in surprise, "Did noona has forbidden you to drink coffee during the pregnancy programme? Aigoo you're gonna in trouble hyung" He hissed as he pointed those cups confusedly
"How do you know?" Taehyung frowned
"Eunjin told me so"
Taehyung chuckled "Eyyy, what has she told you, huh? Are you guys that close?"
"No" He pouted, then his face turned to be serious "Could it be it's because of Joy noona?" Taehyung's smile vanished in a moment
He became strained when he heard the allegation that uttered by his best friend. It was indeed true, and he didn't know how to answer him
Taehyung cleared his throat nervously, "Yay! Don't talk nonsense, kookie"
"I didn't, I actually come here to ask something to you, hyung" Jungkook was successful to make his hyung uneasy. He smell there was something he hide "Did you meet her last night?"
"What do you mean?" Taehyung even didn't dare to stare at him. He threw his gaze everywhere but him
"Joy noona called me just now. She asked about you, she said she couldn't call you because your phone is inactive" Jungkook paused to see his reaction. Yes he was so sure that Taehyung did something stupid behind his wife. He could see his face turned tense "She said that you left your suit in her apartment" Taehyung felt dizzy suddenly. Why he could be so careless to let it left behind?
Oh shit! God damn shit!! ~ He cursed himself silently while Jungkook was waiting for his explanation
"Yes I did" He finally confessed. He forced his eyes to see Jungkook directly who was staring at him confusedly
"How come hyung?" Jungkook felt unbelievable "Why you meet her again? Damn! She's just your past, how could you be so stupid, hyung?!" Jungkook threw his back against the chair roughly. Like he wanted to explode his mind
"Jeon Jungkook, mind your words!" Taehyung warned him with a cold stare, but Jungkook didn't mind it, he even felt so angry towards him
"I'm asking you, hyung, just tell me the truth. Did you tell Jennie noona about this?" Jungkook stood and face him with anger, Taehyung didn't respond to him, he remained in silent "DID YOU?!" Jungkook sighed heavily, "You shouldn't have hurt your wife, hyung. For God's sake what's lacking in her? She's beautiful, she's kind, she has everything that other women are not necessarily have and the most important thing is SHE LOVES YOU!" Jungkook focused the last word to realize how stupid he was because he had lied to his perfect wife
Jungkook closed his eyes as he tried to manage his breath after blabbering out those long sentences "Just mind your own business. I know what I did and I know what's good for me and Jennie" Taehyung stood up and threw back the sharp stare to his friend. They were standing face to face
"Alright, I won't. I'm sorry for being rude, hyung" Jungkook raised his hands, "I trust you to solve it wisely, but I hope you won't ever hurt Jennie noona, because someday you'll regret what you did to her" Jungkook turned around then walked to the door and left him behind
Taehyung hit the upper chair when Jungkook has left
Shit! ~ He cursed
He wasn't mad at Jungkook, but himself. Every word that has uttered by him was true. All of it indeed were true. He slumped onto the chair and closed his eyes as he memorized the moment with Joy in her apartment last night

Taehyung put Joy on her bed carefully when they arrived at her apartment. Luckily, she has not changed the password on the door and he still remembered it well so it's not difficult for him to get into her house. Taehyung pulled the thin blue blanket to cover her body up to chest and let out a heavy sigh. He stared at her sleeping face who look so peaceful then smiled secretly
It seems been a long time since I'm looking at you. Joy, feels like centuries. Why are you suddenly appear when I'm married? Where have you been, huh? ~ Taehyung said in his mind
Yeah there were so many things that he wanted to ask her since his first meeting at his office. But he didn't dare to ask. He remained on silent and let it be so as he could forget about her easily. Unfortunately, the fact says different. Taehyung has to face his past once again and finish the unfinish business which had weighed him for all this time
Taehyung stood and was about to leave until he felt something was grabbing his wrist. He found Joy's palm around his wrist
"Stay, please stay for a while, Tae" She begged with eyes closed. Taehyung released her palm carefully. He still froze beside her
"Why? You should rest, Joy" He said
"I just want you to stay, please Tae, for once" She opened her eyes then forced herself to sit, Taehyung helped her to manage her position
"I'm sorry Joy, I need to go home. It's already late" He glimpsed at his watch that shown 8pm
"Taehyung. Please stay here for a while, I wanna talk with you" She kept holding his palm
".....What is it?" He frowned then decided to took the nearest chair and sat on it. He knew he has to go home, but he couldn't hold his curiousity to know what she wants to say
"I'm sorry for troubling you, Tae...." She paused then observed the man in front of her
"It's okay, I just..."
"Please, listen to me first" She cut off his sentences as she held his palm. Taehyung nodded his head as an agreement
"I know maybe it's too late for me to say sorry to you. But I think it would be better if I say this, I am sorry Tae. I really regret what I did. Sorry" She paused for a moment to wiped the tears that streaming down her cheeks "I never thought that it would be so hurt without you. For years I tried to forget you but I failed, I... I still love you" Then her tears turned into sobs
She tried hard to control her emotion. She covered her face by her palm then wiped every single tears though it useless. Taehyung was just freezing at his spot. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. He even felt surprise to hear her confession just now
He let out a heavy sigh, "Its ok Joy" He said sincerely "Let's forget about the past and start a new life"
Joy shook her head slowly, "I can't. I don't know how to forget you" She managed her breath between her sobs
"I'm sorry, Joy" That's all that he could say
"No, it's not your fault. Maybe this is karma that I should face" She lowered her head, "And I know you're already married. I fully understand it. I just can't help, dear..... I'm so stupid, aren't I?" She scolded herself for being so honest as she gently hit her head
"Don't do that please, Joy" Taehyung stopped her hand then pulled her into his embrace. He rubbed her back to calm her down who was still crying bitterly
"Then tell me how can I forget you?! Tell me, Tae!" She leaned her head on his chest and gently hit his chest
"You should move on, pooh. Just let it go and I'm sure someday you'll find a better man than me" He assured Joy by rubbing her back
"Do you still love me?" She raised her head to face him directly, "I mean, have you really forgotten me?" Taehyung couldn't stand with those pair of puppy eyes. He almost gave up until he realized that he already has Jennie by his side
Taehyung nodded his head, "Hmm, yes Joy. But I could not marry another girl if I haven't succeeded to forget you" He said honestly
"Really? Do you really love her that much?" She looked disappointed with his answer, especially when she saw him nod as an answer
Joy suddenly felt her world seems dark. Like half of her life left her body. She felt lost and empty "I'm sorry, Taehyung" She palmed her head as she felt so dizzy, "Oh I am sorry" She didn't realize that Taehyung finally pulled her into his embrace and rubbed her back to comfort her
She let the tears streaming down her cheeks, she didn't care if her eyes became so puffy because of too much crying. She just wanted to explode everything to him
"Its okay Pooh, you'll get through it, I'm so sure" He kept rubbing her back
"Time. I need some time to heal it. Please give me one more time to let it go, I can't go through it all of sudden" She begged, but Taehyung remained on silent. He didn't uttered a word. He just stared at her blankly. Joy closed her eyes in desperation, "I hope you can give it, Tae" Then she fully released his body "You may go home, Tae. She must have been worried about you" She added
She Joy isnt willing to even mention her name. He knew that she still couldn't accept this fact, or maybe she hates everything about Jennie. But he couldn't force her. He didn't want to be deeply involved with her emotionally, though its undeniable that there's still lots of questions in his deepest heart that he couldn't describe with words
Taehyung finally left her. She didn't send him to the door, but he could understand and perhaps it was so much better for himself
