Y/n Pov:
I sit down at my desk, setting everything up. I wonder where Wilbur is he's usually here.
I hear someone walk through the door. Oh, there he is.
"Hello!" I say with a smile
"Hello, I've just been to a new coffee shop that opened up last week and I felt bad if I didn't bring you one so I hope this is alright?!" He sets down a take away coffee cup and desk and smiles.
"Thank You!" I say "I'm sure it will be good"
"It's just a latte." He picks up his coffee and sits down at 1 of the tables. "And I left your book on your desk, I finished it!"
I look down at my desk and see the book sitting there.
"Oh, yeah I see that." I pick it up and examine. "Did you like it?"
"Yeah it was good." He smiles "Though I did shed a few tears near the end!" He laughs.
"Happens every time!" I say.
He starts reading but I interrupt him.
"Oh, yeah I hope I didn't shock you yesterday by donating to your stream?" I laugh
"Yeah, I didn't expect it but it's cool, thanks"
"No problem" I smile before Turing to my computer to look through files.
More customers go in and out the library, checking out different books. Wilbur still sits there reading and checking things on his laptop. And I still sit at my desk helping people, checking files.
"Y/n!" I look up to see Micheal standing at my desk.
"I'm leaving tomorrow, so tonight the keys shall be yours!" He smiles giving a sort of dramatically speech
"Oh okay, I'll be sure to keep it safe!" I say smiling.
"Good Good!" Micheal walks away.
I look at Wilbur and see him smiling at me.
"So, your the owner now?!" He jokingly says
"Well... I suppose for now." I giggle "Micheal is going away for a few weeks with his wife!"
"Oof I'm jealous." Wilbur pulls a face.
"Ikr, I've been single all my life." I pull a face as-well and then Wilbur laughs.
"Aww it's alright," Wilbur says
We both laugh then look down at our work. I smile, me and Wilbur are really staring to be friends now.
The day goes pretty fast after that. Wilbur leaves at it usual time 12:00 and Micheal comes in and out the back room, checking things, sweeping.
I've got all my stuff together and then I see Micheal walking up to me with a shiny object in his hands.
"Don't leave to quick!" He says
"Oh yes, almost forgot" I say, I didn't but it's for dramatic affect lol.
He sticks his hand out dangling the golden keys towards me. I grab them.
"Thank you!"
Micheal smiles
"Now you better take care of the library, if I come back and it's a shambles, I won't be very happy!" He gives me a serious look.
"Don't worry I will!" I promise him "See, you can even watch me lock up now."
We walk out the door and then I close it putting in the key and twisting it a few times.
"There!"
"Good!"
9:00 AM, Tuesday, 5, October, 2021
I open up the library, my first day as owner (for a week or so) I instantly get to work, finishing some old work and cleaning up.
It hits 9:30 and Wilbur's not here. I don't question it cause he showed up late yesterday.
When I start to pack up for the day and realise Wilbur been here all day I kinda wonder what he has been doing, I mean I guess he does have is own life, everything doesn't jsut revolve around 'the library' like you think.
I really am obsessed with this man, I haven't seen him for 1 day and wondering what he's doing.
