You were in a pub, drinking your life away as you felt many emotions rushing through your veins ending yourself into a tearful toast all by yourself
Not until Gaeul finishes her night shift at the pub, she sees you weeping quietly while drinking a cold cup of whiskey
"Hey, are you good?"
"Stress, and maybe breakups... P-Plus depression" The girl gasps and frowned at you, she leans close and gave gou an assuring hug. You felt different from 'every' truthful hug you received, even when your sister hugged you to prevent you from jumping off the auditorium rooftop was a bit tight yet careful
"Oh you poor babie, I hope you're coping up.."
"Meh, it's just full of bullshit... I've tried many attempts but God wants me alive, I don't know why but I wanna regret being born" You bitterly said and took a sip, Gaeul slapped your shoulder and took the glass cup off your shaking hand
"Yah~ Give that back.."
"No, you're not allowed to drink.. You go get some strawberry milk..or something" You were drunk enough to lift up a small laugh in which none heard for a long while
"Your laugh is cute..."
"I-I laughed?" She nods and you frowned and the latter saw tears shining from your orbs, you both stayed quiet despite the noisy atmosphere in which the you despised very much
"Y-Y'know what, I'll just go get some air..."
"Yah! Wait!" Gaeul paid for the drinks, going outside she didn't see any single soul of you making her extremely worried as you did drink a lot. She walks down the lonely, snowy streets by herself when someone dragged her by an alley
"A-Ah!-"
"Scream or I'll cut your throat" The black-haired latter choked a sob from the threat, the man groped her on places no one should and Gaeul can't help but let out the loudest cry she could do
You just got your milk when you heard someone yelling from afar. You gave a small smile at the old woman by the cashier who comforted you and gave the milk for free before running to the direction
'Gaeul-ah?' You rolled your sleeve up, creeping up by the shadows before holding the man in a headlock. You were slammed against the wall and the ground but didn't care much until the man lose conscious then dropped down with you
"Oi, did he do anything to you?"
"S-Stole...my things...a-almost raped me" You grabbed her in your arms and rushed back to her apartment nearby
The two of you sat down on the comfortable couch, didn't move nor spared a glance. Both of you were in a pair of onesies with matching slip ons down the floor, the latter flinched as she saw a hallucination of the same man who almost took her life and virginity, she kicked you off whilst crying yet she heard a faint 'ow' and a small sigh
"S-Sorry!"
"Shh, it's fine.. Come here, it's alright" Gaeul sobs and hugged you, both stayed in the same position for an hour keeping each other safe
Gaeul hears soft snores on her shoulder, she takes one of your arms, rolling up the fluffy sleeve she saw at least 5 old cuts and some new ones slapped with band aid to cover it up but it didn't turn out great
She leans back to see your face that close especially when sleeping, she observes you from afar and she didn't knew she'll have a chance to see her this way
"If only I approached you before, we could have continued what we had long ago.. And I could have get you to stop the bad things running through your mind, I'm sorry if I came too late"
Gaeul helped herself to get you to bed, you grunted as you laid down trying to find your penguin plushie. She saw it on a chair then got it, placing it right after in your arms
"Stay, p-please.."
"I can sleep on the couch.. I don't want to break your bubble" Your weak but tight grip made the latter stop at her tracks, the hamster decides to stay so she could look after her in case you do something
"C-Can you sing something for me? I d-don't have anyone to do it.."
"Of course, come lay here" You scooted your head over the latter's lap, yawning a bit as you faced her tummy and your lids immediately closed once you heard Gaeul's soft voice ringing by your ear
"This is nice.."
"I thought you fell asleep" The younger blushes as she halts on singing, you chuckled and closed your eyes once more when she stroked your hair
"Sleep tight, I'll be here..."
"Thank you, Gaeul" You yawned, the latter bringing you to slumber but soon falling asleep after leaving a soft kiss on your lips
The next day, you felt nothing around your body as if no one had hugged you and you didn't feel Gaeul's fingers running through your hair massaging your scalp like the previous night
You stood up, doing your morning routine and getting rid of something in your pants before going to the living room
"Y/n? Is that you?"
"Hey, good morning" You hugged her from behind, your nose nuzzled in her hair as she cooked something for breakfast
Gaeul enjoys the moment, she kept on cooking whilst her other hand held yours comfortably. Soft sighs escaped your lips as you hugged her close, the contact made the both of you feel butterflies
"Sit down, I'm gonna plate up"
You nodded, waddling to the dining chair and sat down like a 5-year old kid. Yawning with your hand rubbing your eye you patiently waited as Gaeul prepared the foods on the table
The breakfast was quiet, but it was comfortable thanks to the occasional chats here and there. You blushed at the time Gaeul wipes the sauce or condiment that drip once you take a bite of your food, the gesture is unusual as it doesn't happen in friends that much unless-
"I'll come over here tomorrow after my shift, is that fine?"
"Y-Yeah, come over whenever you want" She smiles and pecked your cheek, it was also unusual but you shrugged it off for now
"I'll stay with you for now, since you're..alone"
"Thank you" You pulled her by the arm making her drop down on your lap, engulfing her into a warm embrace with your head by her chest hearing her subtle but erratic heartbeat
The next day, you were preparing for work and Gaeul is also doing the same. You had your uniform on and checked yourself out, the other staring at you as if she had known you for long
"You alright there?"
"Mhmm, I-I'm good.." She walks up to you, fixing the name tag on your chest then fiddled your tie that tightened too much around your neck. The scene was so familiar, too familiar that you thought this happened way back then
"Yay~ Now you're good to go!~"
"Thank you, Gaeul" You muttered, your body doing something way out of your usual routines. You leaned and kissed her forehead, lingering yor lips there for quite a while. Gaeul blushed deeply, biting her lip as you did the gesture
"I'll drop you off to your workplace, hmm?"
"Okay" You rode on your bike, Gaeul sitting behind with her arms locked around you. You sped off to the pub, chuckling as Gaeul's grip tightened around your stomach once you played with the accelerator
"S-Slow down!"
"Alright, we're here" She looks up from your back and indeed you two were now at the pub where you "met"
"Thanks for the ride"
"Always welcome" Gaeul kisses your cheek, hopping away with a smile on her face leaving you in a blushing mess
You shook your head with a chuckle, looking up to the pub..remembering something
"Jagiya, this is where I work!" Gaeul happily showed you the bar where she's gonna serve drinks, and offered you milkshake which you paid after
"That's really nice, just call me if there's someone flirting or doing something bad to you.. I'll come over, hmm?"
Your head hurted a bit, holding it as you saw flashbacks of your past...the past that you forgot due to an accident, and now you recalled everything, one thing had been stuck in your mind all day at work
Gaeul is your girlfriend..
