Zara's pov
It's now the next day at work and I'm in the back talking to Ava about my "date"
"WAIT so you're telling me he KISSED YOUR FOREHEAD!! Girl that for sure was a date, I mean he even basically hinted at it a couple of times too!!" Ava screeches
"Ya, he did...I don't know it's just maybe he's just being nice? And he never straight up said it was a date, we were just there to talk about the nanny thing" I say
"Girl NO man would take someone to a NICE ass restaurant take them to the DAMN PRIVATE ROOF, all to 'discuss some nanny thing' ya babe that was for sure a date...and ALSO who in the living hell would kiss the forehead of someone they were having a business dinner with," she says
I mean she does have a point there, before I can say anything she continues
"And OMG do not get me started on the whole him slipping in the boyfriend thing BYEEE it's so obvious he was making sure you were single, and he could've easily have grabbed a seat somewhere in the restaurant where everyone else sat but NO he went and took you to the damn ROMANTIC roof!!" She starts laughing
"Ya, but he owns the restaurant...so it's easy for him to do all that and maybe he took me up there just to get privacy and have no one interrupting the business talk, and let's not forget I started the whole talk about relationships...I am sure he just was asking it back just so he knew more about me for the nanny thing" I say while shrugging
"Girl you are so clueless when it comes to men, " she says while rolling her eyes
"Whatever" I mumble under my breath
"Girl ima search him on google!!" She screeches like it's the best idea
"NO DON'T!! That's a total rude thing to do plus the internet can twist things so it's no point and I don't want to pry into his life" I say
"Well know one is making you but as your best friend it's my duty to make sure this man is not a criminal or something!!" She says in a 'duh' tone
I just put the macaroons in the oven and I started baking a cake when she suddenly screams
"What's wrong Ava?" I question
" girl this man is like a MILLIONAIRE!! And he's like the HOTTEST bachelor available! And my hot ass friend managed to go out with him!! HOT DAMN you're lucky!" She starts giggling
that explains the whole him having a cook thing...
"Ya, it definitely wasn't a date if he's the hottest bachelor why out of all the girls would he want to date me?" I say stirring the batter
"Girl, be quiet you're absolutely stunning and this man would be the luckiest man in the world to get a date with you, do NOT put yourself down you hear me..." she says sternly
"Ya ya I hear you," I say
Before we could continue with our conversation one of my employees comes into the back
"Hey, Zara umm Mia is asking specifically for you...do you know who that is?" My employee asks
Aww, she came here...wait does that me Enzo is here?
Holy oh gosh I look like a mess right now! My hair is in a messed up bun, and my apron is covered in flour and batter, and I'm sure I have flower smudged on my face
"Is she alone?" I ask making sure this isn't like our first encounter all over again
"Umm no she's with freaking ENZO Moretti !!! Like he's here in our bakery RIGHT now, I can't believe it, he's even more gorgeous in perso-" she starts rambling but I decide to cut her off
"Ya I know that's Mia's father..." I laugh lightly
"Thanks for telling me Ummm take over on this cake I just finished with the batter you just need to put them in the pan and make the frosting, "I say while walking
"Alright," she says
"Go get your man zee bee" Ava whispers in my ear while smirking
"Oh be quiet Ava!!" I laugh
As if a millionaire hunk like him would want me
I mean I am basically poor, my family is shit, I'm not that good looking...I don't have much to offer him,
I walk out only to make eye contact immediately with Enzo... man does he look mighty fine in that business suit of his...UGH STOP IT ZARA!! He's probably only here because of Mia
"Hi guys," I say smiling
"PRINCESS ZARAAAA" Mia screeches, while running to meet me in a hug
"Hey sweetheart, did you come here for some treats?" I ask
"Yeah and to see you, I missed you! And daddy said your gonna be my nanny so we will get to spend a lot of time together!!!" She starts jumping up and down
I can't help but laugh she's just too precious
"Aren't you gonna hug daddy too?" She smiles innocently
I look up at Enzo only to see a smirk on his face...
"Guess you have to hug daddy, can't disappoint Mia.." he chuckles
I gosh the man just said "daddy" yikes good thing I don't got that kink...
I roll my eyes and meet him with a hug
"Hi Enzo," I say
"Hey zar" he smiles...WAIT hold on this man just said ZAR! Aaaaah he gave me a nickname! Oh, I LOVE nicknames!
I get behind the counter
"So what can I get you guys today" I smile at them both
"CHOCOLATE CAKE" Mia screeches
"I'll have a medium americano, and whatever is your favorite out of the desserts," Enzo says
"Alright !! I'll get that for you guys right now, oh are you allergic to anything?"
"No...unless you have a dog back there" he chuckles
Awwww he's allergic to doggies...that's sad oh well hope he's not allergic to cats cus those are my favorite animals!!
Enzo goes to pay but I stop him
"No, you guys are my friends and I won't have my friends paying"
"But we're still customers," Enzo says
"Ya but if I were to invite you...my friends to my home and give you a coffee and some treats I wouldn't ask you to pay, so the same goes here for you two" I shrug
" you can come anytime for a coffee and treats on the house"
"Alright fine but then you'll just have to hang out with us and I'll have to take you out to make it even," Enzo says
Oh, mah gosh the man wants to hang out with me still!!! Oh gosh I hope he's not joking
"Alright then deal" I smile up at him
I hand Enzo his coffee "and I'll be right back with your treats, hold on" I say
Before I fully leave I hear Mia say "I like her daddy she's sweet like a real princess is "
And Enzo responds with "she really is isn't she"
Aww I absolutely love Mia she's so cute
And I'm totally gonna ignore enzo agreeing
I come back with a slice of chocolate cake and a blueberry muffin that just came out of the oven
"Alright here you guys go, hope you enjoy," I say
"THANK YOU zee zee," Mia says, awww another nickname!!!
"Thanks, zar," Enzo says
" your welcome" I smile
"Oh do you mind coming over on Friday to watch Mia for a couple of hours, I have to go to an important meeting"
Okay, today is Tuesday! So that's 3 days away...ugh seems like a long time away, but I'll take any chance to spend time with either Mia or Enzo
"Absolutely! Just text me the address and time I need to be there and anything I might need to know" I smile
"Alright I'll text you later, thanks again for everything"
"It's no problem I like you guys" I shrug not realizing what I just said but clearly they both didn't mind cus they both had wide smiles on their faces
Awwww Mia had the same smile as her dad
"We like you too," Enzo says
"YEAH, A LOT!" Mia chirps
I just laugh at that
"I'll see you Friday then " I smile
"Yeah, I'll text you in a bit"
And they head off, and I can't wipe off the smile on my face while I ring up other customers for a while...
An hour later I get a text from Enzo, saying the time and the address, and that anything I might need to know I can ask his cook Maria ...
And the rest of the day I have a smile that seemed to not be able to be broken, I can't wait for Friday!!
