I yawned loudly as my eyes travelled to the wall clock.
It was my birthday today.
Well, good. I'll spend it just like how I do every year.
By eating a pastry or a small cake.
I shrugged. I wonder if my friends knew about my birthday. I don't remember telling them about it.
I'll tell them today.
As usual I reached at the office and head straight to my cabin.
On my way I wished a 'Good morning' to a few people.
I was kind of disappointed because my parents didn't wish me yet.
Dad used to be the first person to call me. I guess it slipped from their minds.
As I opened my cabin, I was engulfed by a sweet smell. I sniffed carefully.
This is unusual. As I set my bag down, I noticed two black boxes, with huge ribbon tied neatly on top of it.
It looked so good! But who could have given this?
Enzo? Does he even remember my birthday? I sighed.
I'll just open it in the lunch.
With that in my mind, I started working .
Time flew by fast and it was lunch break already.
As I was about to step out, Mia barged in the room with Tristan following.
I gasped softly, a small smile instantly forming on my lips.
"Happy Birthday cutie!!"
Mia squealed, hugging me tightly.
"Thank you so much Mia!"
"My baby is 26 now right?"
I slowly nodded, shocked at how she knew about my birthday.
"Happy Birthday Elle."
Said Tristan, as he slowly engulfed me in his arms.
"Thank you Tristan."
I too wrapped my arms around him, with a wide smile.
We all settled on the couch.
"How did you guys know?! I didn't even tell you!"
I exclaimed to which Mia just shook hear, smiling.
"Tristan found out your birth date."
"Oh.. "
I looked at him giving him a small smile again. That was sweet of him.
"Where's Liam?"
"He is late again."
"I don't know, I didn't saw him at his table."
I nodded in understanding.
"Oh! Did you guys keep a gift for me in my cabin today?"
"Um no.."
She trailed off. I frowned. Who is it then? I brought the gift box placed it on the table.
"Elle, I think it's from Mr William! Oh god he is so sweet!"
She answered with stars in her eyes. But how though?
"I'm having a hard time believing that."
Our conversation was cut short when the door of cabin was opened by Mr William.
I blinked my eyes. He barely visits me in my cabin. I think these gifts are really from him.
He walked in, his eyes set on me. Then took a seat next to Tristan who was sitting across me.
"Happy Birthday Miss Miller."
He said with his usual stern voice but with a small smile.
"You may open that box."
He pointed at the box with red ribbon.
"Thank you sir!"
I said giving him the most best smile. My crush knows my birthday!
At the same time, Liam barged in the room.
His eyes too fixed on me as he quickly took a seat near me.
"Happy Birthday Elle!"
"Thank you Liam!!"
I grinned. He is so cute.
"This one, is from me, open it!"
He said as he pointed towards the box with pink ribbon on it.
What a coincidence. Both of them have a similar box and ribbon.
I glanced at Enzo, who seemed kinda, shook but he kept his cool.
Oh god this is kind of awkward.
First I opened the Liam's box my eyes widening instantly.
"Oh my god!"
It was a simple but beautiful looking watch.
Moreover it was the same one we bought at the mall that day!
"This is..."
Then I opened Mr William's box as I licked my lips nervously.
A gasp fled from my lips. It was a watch too!!
And it looked exactly like the one Liam has gifted me.
In other words, my crush and my best friend, bought the same watch for me, coincidentally.
Both the men went stiff.
"Oh my god Elle~"
Mia whispered as her eyes held a glint of tease in them.
"This.. this is so sweet of you both.."
I answered as my eyes soften.
"Thank you Mr William."
I said while giving him a small then I turned my head to Liam.
"Thank you Liam!"
There was a little silence but I again broke it.
"Oh my these look the same!"
Mia squealed. She really liked teasing me.
"Uh- I don't think so.."
Said Enzo and continued.
"The watch which I gifted has Elle's initials engraved on it."
I gasped. I didn't knew how to react. I couldn't believe he could go this far.
But that doesn't mean whatever Liam did for me is 'not good'..I am touched by their actions.
I just did not expect Enzo to do all this. Anyways.
Enzo had a light smirk on his face when he saw Liam pout a little.
I mentally sighed. Is this some sort of competition? I need Liam to know whatever he did to me has my heart melted.
I looked where my initials were engraved and my heart fluttered. God, this jerk is such a sweetheart.
"It's beautiful.."
Mia's lips parted as she looked at the watch.
"Sweet!"
She whispered.
"This is really sweet of you both but.. it's too expensive, I-i don't think I c-can.."
"No! You are gonna keep it no matter what."
Said Liam with his usual cheerful tone.
"He is right."
Said Mr William. Oh god, since when these two have started agreeing with each other?
"Um but it's so.. I don't think I can-"
I stuttered a little but Liam assured me that it was completely fine and Enzo did the same.
"Alright, if you say so. Make sure you don't buy me anything expensive next time."
I said and pressed my lips together trying to sound severe.
"I don't think I can keep that promise."
Liam said winking at me.
Mr William smiled at me and stood up.
"Have a great day."
He said. I walked him to the door of my cabin a real smile playing on my lips.
"Bye Enzo~"
I squeaked and winked at him playfully. He was taken aback by my sudden energy but then he nodded and walked away.
"What the hell!"
Liam yelled as Enzo left.
"Why did he have to do that!"
"Calm down boy. It simply means Mr William likes Elle."
Mia squealed.
"Wh-what?! No!"
