Okay enough chatting, here’s
Chapter 31
[Zac’s POV]
I ran as fast as I could to the nurse’s office.
I still couldn’t believe that Leslie had fainted in class today.
Finally, I got to the nurse’s office.
I knocked on the door and waited for the nurse to let me in.
“Come in” said the nurse.
Slowly I opened the door.
“Hey…” I said calmly looking inside the room to find my wife.
She wasn’t hard to find since the room only had two beds and one was used by Leslie.
“I’ll let you guys talk.” The nurse said nicely and left the room.
I smiled at her thankfully.
I didn’t know what to do at first. Leslie and I were still not “friends”. It was still awkward between us.
“Hey… What’s up?” I asked her finally breaking the silence.
“Hey… Nothing… I just fainted.” She told me.
I went beside the bed she was resting on and looked down on her.
Her face was pale and her hair was messed up.
Even though she looked unwell, she was still the most beautiful girl I had ever known.
Slowly, I raised my hand and placed it on her forehead.
She was freezing.
“Oh my god Leslie! You have a fever!” I shouted removing my hand quickly and heading to the door to get the nurse.
Suddenly she held my arm and stopped me from leaving.
“Hold on Zac.” she said softly.
Just in her voice it was obvious that she wasn’t feeling too good.
I turned towards her and went back to the bed.
I was worried as hell!
“What is it Leslie?” I asked her touching her forehead again and removing the strands of hair that were falling on her face.
“Don’t worry Zac. I know I have a fever. Please just take me home!” she almost begged.
My heart was aching, but I knew I couldn’t do anything else right now, but please her.
“Fine.” I said and smiled even though it felt forced.
She smiled back at me brightly and soon started to doze off to sleep.
I watched her sleep for a couple of minutes and decided it was time to leave.
I went outside and told the nurse that I was taking Leslie home and she told me it was the right thing to do.
I went back into the room and took her bag. I went to her locker and took out some of the books that she might want to bring home and went to the car to put her bag and mine in it.
I went back to school and went to the nurse’s office.
Since Leslie was sleeping soundly I decided to carry her to the car.
Slowly without making any noise, I went close to the bed and put my hand under her back and legs. Quickly I lifted her up from the bed and turned towards the bed right when the bell rang.
“Crap! Now I have to run through the sea of students to get to main door.” I thought cursing in my head.
The nurse held the door open for me while I carried Leslie bridal style in my arms.
Just as I predicted, the school’s hallway was filled with students.
“Oh my god! Do you see what I see?! It’s Zac!” someone said. I didn’t even have to look, because I knew it was a cheerleader who said it.
Soon I heard camera flashing and I was also blinded by them.
“If the situation wasn’t so bad, I would actually stop and make poses for the cameras!” I thought sarcastically in my head.
Dodging all the students and their cameras and numerous questions, I ended up in the school’s parking lot.
Finally !
[Leslie’s POV]
“Ahh! What a nice nap!” I said waking up and stretching my arms.
I opened my eyes and saw that the room I was in was completely dark.
“What the hell?” I thought starting to get scared.
Since I couldn’t see anything, I was starting to get afraid. I touched around me to try and guess where I was.
All I could feel was a nice soft bed under me.
“Well since I'm sitting on a bed, I guess wherever I am, I’m in a good place.” I thought jokingly to cheer myself up.
“Oh! So you’re awake?”
Suddenly my whole body got cold. Intense fear was sneaking up on my me.
Oh my god! Someone has kidnapped me!!
And it was a guy! Of course he’s stronger than me!
I started to panic when I realised this.
“Listen I don’t know who you are, but please leave me! I know martial arts so you don’t want me to beat you up okay?” I randomly rambled.
Suddenly the man started to laugh.
“What a creep!” I thought.
Then the lights went on. My eyes hurt so it took me a minute to take in my surrounding.
Right in front of me stood a smirking Zac.
Zac?! Oh so it was him…
“Well miss, will you please show me your martial art moves?” Zac asked me smirking.
Just in his voice I knew he wanted to laugh his ass off, but was holding it in to tease me.
Instead of answering Zac, I just rolled my eyes.
“Don’t scare me like that anymore!” I told him and crossed my arms.
“Well I should say that to you! Do you know how much you have scared me today?” he asked me seriously.
Wow! I have never seen Zac go from teasing to serious in less than a minute! Something really important must have happened.
“What are you talking about?” I asked him.
Suddenly my stomach grumbled.
“Besides, what time is it? I'm so hungry!” I said getting up from the bed.
“It’s 7 pm!” Zac answered.
“WHAT?!” I shouted with eyes almost coming out of my eyes.
“Yeah… you’ve been sleeping for the past 10 hours!” he told me.
I was still in shock so I froze on the spot.
“Come on! Let’s go eat supper while I explain you what happened.” He said and pulled me on my arm to bring me downstairs.

We got into the kitchen and food was already there.
“Wow Zac! Don’t tell me you cooked all of this by yourself!” I said looking at the delicious shepard’s pie.
It was a simple dish, but it was delicious! It was actually one of my favourites!
“No way! Do you really expect me to cook all this by myself? You’re mom came over earlier in the day and dropped this off.” He told me getting two plates from the cupboards while I sat behind the counter.
“I should’ve guessed.” I said grabbing a spoon and putting the delicious dish on my plate.
“Woah! Calm your horses! I hope you finish everything you put on your plate missy!” Zac said looking at the amount of food I was putting on my plate.
“Hey! Don’t look how much I put okay! I didn’t eat lunch so I'm very hungry okay?” I said putting two more spoons of shepard’s pie.
Zac just rolled his eyes and took the spoon from my hands and served himself.
After eating a couple of bites, I decided it was time for Zac to tell me what happened.
“Start the story honey!” I said sarcastically with a fork in my mouth.
Zac just smirked and after digesting the food he had in his mouth, he finally opened it to explain everything.
“Well you see, I was in history class this morning while you were in biology.” He said and waited.
“Yeah I remember that. It’s just after that I can’t remember.” I told him.
“Well half way through class, people were starting to talk in class. Suddenly Kurt who was sitting behind me told me that some chick fainted.” He said and waited again.
I nodded my head to show him to continue.
“Someone took a picture of the girl who fainted and some girl in my class got the picture via text. She showed it to us and I found out that the girl was none other than you Leslie.” Zac finished and waited.
I thought about what Zac just said and soon I realised I started to remember everything.
“Now that you mention it, I remember falling in biology class.” I said.
Zac just nodded and touched my hand and got up with his plate.
“Since I was still in the middle of class, I asked the girl who showed me the picture where you were and she said you were in the nurse’s office. I quickly got up and ran to you.” He told me while washing his dishes.
Wow! I can’t believe he actually did that for me. If it was someone else, I bet they would’ve just waited for the bell to ring to go see their girlfriend in the nurse’s office. Zac who wasn’t even my boyfriend skipped the middle of the class to come and see me. I couldn’t believe it! But why would he do it?
“Well ever since, you were knocked up! You slept through the whole day! Are you feeling good now?” he asked me worried.
I nodded my head with a warm smile and just looked at him deep in the eyes.
“Yeah I'm all right!” I told him and just kept looking at him. “And thank you.” I told him.
Zac just smiled back a warm smile in return as well and looked at me.
I don’t know how long we were looking at each other, but when we went back upstairs to go to bed it was already 10 pm.
“Urgh! I can’t go to bed right now! I practically just woke up!” I said falling on the bed.
“Well what do you want to do then?” Zac asked me smirking.
Honestly, I didn’t know what to do. It was 10 pm and I was too lazy to go downstairs right now.
“Why don’t we just watch a movie?” I asked him.
“Sure! Let’s go to the basement.” Zac said heading towards the bedroom’s door.
“No! I'm too lazy to go down!” I said.
“Well how do you want to watch TV then?” he asked me coming back into the room.
“I’ll tell you but first close that bedroom door and climb on the bed!” I told him going in the middle of the bed under the sheets.
[Zac’s POV]
I didn’t know what was happening! Girls are so complicated!
She tells me she wants to watch TV, and then she tells me to close the bedroom door and climb in the bed!
What the hell is Leslie even thinking?!
I did what she told me to and got into the right side of the bed, my side of the bed.
Since she was sitting in the middle of the bed, she was really close to me. I could smell her shampoo and sometimes strands of her hair would tease me by touching my bare arm.
Since it was night time, obviously I was shirtless and with a pair of boxers, while Leslie was with her tank top and short shorts.
“So? Care to explain me how we’re going to watching TV sitting in this room?” I asked her.
She didn’t say anything and just pointed her head towards the picture frame that was hanging facing the bed.
“What about it?” I asked her after looking at the picture for a minute.
It was a nice picture of a garden. It was actually a painting. It showed the view of a garden during night time where the moon was shining brightly on top of the different flowers. Honestly it was a peaceful image.
“This picture frame is not any painting.” She said and stopped.
Suddenly, Leslie fell on top of my chest and reached for the night table that was beside me.
Normally if this was any other girl I would have asked her what she was doing, but since it was Leslie I wasn’t going to complain!
Soon, she got up from me and held a remote control.
I looked at her questioningly, but the girl just smiled at me.
She pressed a button on the remote control and soon right in front of my eyes, the painting disappeared into the wall letting a huge flat screen TV make its place where the frame was.
Woah! That was the coolest thing I ever saw in my life!
“Cool right?” she asked me after the TV placed itself on the wall.
I couldn’t say anything since it was mind-blowing and just nodded my head like a child.
Leslie just chuckled and turned on the TV.
“So what do you want to watch?”

[Leslie’s POV]
An hour had passed and we were watching nothing but cartoons. We’ve already seen an episode of The Simpsons and one of The Family Guy’s. It was starting to get boring.
“Yo! What do you want to watch?” I asked Zac changing the channels.
He didn’t say anything.
“Yoooo !” I kept saying.
Finally I looked at the boy.
Aww! He was asleep! No wonder he wasn’t answering me!
Zac had ended up falling asleep.
Well I couldn’t blame him. While I was asleep for the last 10 hours, he was up taking care of me.
Just this once, I’ll let the poor boy sleep!
I took the bed sheet covers and slowly covered the boy. He looked like an angel while sleeping! He looked so… peaceful! I couldn’t get my eyes off of him.
Soon, without even realising it I laid a small kiss on his forehead and started to drift off to sleep in on his chest with his strong arms around my waist.
