"AMELIA WESTHEART! Get down here right now!!!" I sighed when I heard my mother yell from downstairs. I made my way down and saw my mother waiting impatiently in front of the door "Urg! Can't you be anymore slower?!" she grabbed my arm and dragged me into the carriage
"If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be this late to the bloody party!" my mother hissed when she looked at her pocket watch
We're not late. You just like to say that
"I'm sorry" I mumbled
"You're sorries are useless! Sorries don't do you any good! And what on earth is that dress?! Where ever did you get it from, I don't remember buying you one like that?"
"I made it"
"No wonder why it looks so dreadful!" my mother growled
There was absolutely nothing wrong with my dress. In fact, it looks wonderful. It was her opinion that seems to be the problem here. Anything I do, whether it was good or bad she always have a negative response to it

"Will you stop playing with your damn right!?!" my mother screamed making me flinched, I didn't even realised I was playing with it. I glanced over to my ring that had a heart shaped diamond on it, it always helped me to calm down
The Ring
Growing up in a family filled with expectations and reputations was never easy, but if you have the both of those, then you're lucky. Me on the other hand, is trying to live up to those two things. However, no matter what I do, my family just don't see it, they'll probably never see me as me and I will be nothing to anyone
I have three older siblings and I'm the youngest and they all see me as a disgrace and a shame to the family, including my parents, they would've kicked me out if it wasn't for my beauty. Throughout the most of my life, all I could remember are just them looking down on me and insulting me and even if I achieved something, they won't acknowledge it
I'm pretty sure that even if I disappear, they will not give a second thought about me, not worry about me because their time is way too precious to be wasted on me and too busy doing their own bidding
Now you might be thinking why I haven't left them? Well, I am 19, old enough to go and live my own life. However, I can't just do that because I have nowhere to go to, have no money of my own because whenever I did have money, my parents would just take it away and use it for their personal use
Oh, how I wish to just fall into a hole and restart my life
"Hey!" my mother brought me back to reality when she snapped her finger close to my face "Stupid, girl. We're here!" I was about to get out of the carriage when she held me tight on the wrist "Act politely and lady-like, I don't want to see you slouching, you don't want the same thing happening to you again like the last time, right?"
How can someone slouch while wearing a corset?!?
"Y-Yes, mother" she then lefts me go and met Lady Ascot, who is very good friends with my mother and the mother of Hamish Ascot
"Ah, Lady Westheart! Just on time as always" Lady Ascot greeted with a smile to me and my mother
"Oh, you know how I am. Amelia, why don't you go somewhere and enjoy the party? Me and Lady Ascot have some things to catch up with" I nodded

I went off to where everyone was, but didn't danced with anyone, though I did got offered to dance and since I didn't want to dance, I politely declined them and they quiet walked away. The garden had manage to get my attention, so I began wandering in it
As I was walking around, I saw Alice who is the friend I've got, she looked like she was searching for something "Hi, Alice. Lost something?" she turned with a frighten expression, but then that quickly faded when she noticed it was me
"Amelia. Um, no, I didn't lose anything, I'm just looking for something-a rabbit actually"
"A rabbit? It better be cute, otherwise I don't know any other reason as to why you're looking for a rabbit" I giggled
"Well, I don't really know if it's cute, but it was white and wearing a waistcoat" I was a little taken back by Alice's description of the rabbit
"Wearing a waistcoat, huh? I think you've gone mad, Alice. You certainly don't see something like that everyday, I'll help you find"
"Really? Even if it sounds mad?" she questioned and I laughed
"All the best people are mad, Alice" she smiled, but her smile faded "What is it?"
"I just remembered that I have to meet Hamish at the gazebo in 10 minutes"
"Right! I nearly forgot that he's going to propose to you today!" Alice then looks at me with confusion
"What? What did you just say?"
"Hamish! He's going to propose to you!" Alice didn't smile or anything remotely related to smiling. In fact, she looks more concerned "Wait, didn't anyone tell you that this is the whole reason why there's a party being held here?" Alice shook her head "Oh, my..."
"But I don't know if I want to marry Hamish"
"Oh, Alice..."
"Does everybody know?" she asked and I nodded
"That's why everyone came...I'm so sorry, Alice" I said while I rubbed her arm, trying to comfort her "What are you going to do now?"
"I don't know"
"Are you not going to the gazebo?"
"I..." without a respond to my question she quickly ran away to god knows where
"Alice?!?" I shouted, but the girl didn't come back, I sighed thinking how Alice has been the most confusing person I've ever been with. Although, that is what makes her stand out of crowd and be unique
I was about to make my way to the gazebo where everyone is gathering up at when I spotted something near the bushes. It was a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat like what Alice had described to me earlier
Could that really be...Did Alice really see a white rabbit with a waistcoat on?
The rabbit hopped away and didn't seem to noticed me, so I decided to follow it. The rabbit was hopping fast, it was almost hard to follow it and at some point I had lost the rabbit "Where did it go?"
I then a saw an odd looking tree, so I decided to take a closer look. The tree had big roots and I'm guessing it used to be a big tree but, the half of it was taken down. Next to it, there appears to be a hole. I don't know whether it's a rabbit hole or not, it kinda looks too big for it to be a rabbit hole
"Weird" I didn't try to investigate any further as I didn't suspect anything suspicious. I slowly spun around, about to head back to the party when I noticed a very bright caterpillar on the ground "Well, what are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be on a leaf?"
I wanted to pick it up and put on a bush or something when a bloody bird came flying in and snatched it away at the speed of lightning which scared the living soul out of me, stumbled on my feet, then fell into the hole, thinking it would be a short fall, but nope! The hole was deeper than anyone could expected
"AHHHHHH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, scared for my life. I tried grabbing something that might potentially help me save myself, but all I've earned from it were cuts on my hands
So this is how I'm going to die!?! Falling into god knows where!?!
So many things were flying here and there, lamps, books, a bloody bed! Nearly got stabbed by a dagger too, good thing I've dodged it just in time, then I saw something
What is that? Is that...THE GROUND!?!
The very end of the hole was nearing and I couldn't anything about, but to brace myself for the impact. To my surprise, I went through it and landed on the ground ALIVE! It was not a smooth landing, but I survived!
"Thank goodnes-Ow!" I hissed when I felt a sharp pain from my palms, they were bleeding badly. I ripped two strips of fabric of my dress and wrapped it around my palms
Once that was done, I began looking at my surrounding. Everything was weird, flooring looked old and wonky, there was no doors or a table and the source of light was very odd looking
"Am I seeing this correctly? Are those candles upside-dow-" before I got to finish my sentence I feel once more and hopefully, the ground I fell on was the actual ground "Ow! If I'm going to fall once more, might as well kill!"
And I'm talking to myself! Great!
I started examining the area or room I was in, aside from the whole room looking it's about to fall apart any moment, there were several doors and a table in the middle. Oh, and one more thing!
