"I've died with you 20 times.. including the very first time. I tried... to keep you safe. I even went as far as hiding in my forest of origin this time.. But Onigumo still found me despite the seal still hiding it. The damned fates were in on it, I knew. A thief who'd been thrown off a cliff and into a wild river somehow ending up washed up right by the neat pond said long river flowed into. The koi pond right by our cove." (Y/n) sighed, having moved to be sitting against the wall and fumbling with her fingers as Naraku still kneeled in his place. Speechless. "I still tried though. I erased his memories of me and sent him off after healing him. He still ended up becoming you though. The you who started going after Inuyasha and Sesshomaru as well as my mistress. As usual, you made it impossible for me not to get involved."
She couldn't help but laugh to herself at that. It was true. Every reincarnation he made it impossible for her to stay away. Even if he wouldn't have she would still watch over him from a far probably. He was still her mate after all.
"So when Sesshomaru told me about it I denied going after you, but then you popped up in the forest out of nowhere to find me first without even knowing it. Without a thought I started doing what I said I wouldn't. I couldn't help it. Seeing you again made wishes become reality. It always has. Even if I've seen you not that long ago." she continued, looking up to meet his glowing red eyes. She kept her stare easily. "You came in and locked me up for being an odd yet familiar character you couldn't completely read. It's not the first time it's happened either. You demanded nearly word for word the exact same answers and here we are. Stories laid out for show and secrets that shouldn't be so, revealed..."
"...any questions..?"
"Hello?"
Naraku continued to stare at her. Intense red eyes still glowing in nearly a threatening manner. Before he disappeared just like that. (Y/n) only sighed again, leaning her head back as she felt a wave of tiredness hit her. It had been a long story to tell. WIth no windows in the room they were in she couldn't even tell how long it had been since she was first brought up here at all.
"You passed so many good memories too.. but I guess it was worth it to see that face again as you retold our grand tale~"
Tensing from the sensation, (Y/n) felt a shiver of surprise run down her spine from the words spoken at her ear. Had he... remembered already...
Of course...
A low growl came from her chest as he chuckled.
"My Queen... it's impossible not to remember after being told to do what you always got me to do in the past."

"Kneel."
He did.
Another sneer appearing before it quickly turned to a cruel smile as he raised both of his hands up in surrender to the spider queen.
"Stay there why don't you. Away from everyone. Get up only when you realize how powerless you are compared to me."

"...Submit."
"You mean to tell me I just retold that entire story for nothing!" she grumbled,
"Not for nothing.. it's always fun to see which memories you chose to tell." he said, amusement clear in his tone.
Naraku without a word grabbed her hand in his own, bringing the back to his lips.
"By the way.. before I forget. I admit I'm powerless compared to you, (N/n). Always have been as you probably know very well... besides those moments we shared every now and then. One of said moments having been shared not too long ago surprisingly. I think that's a first." He smirked, leaving a kiss at the back of her hand finally.
At once, heat engulfed her face in a sheet of color as she turned away, a slight sheepish look overcoming her features. Why did he have to be a good actor. Honestly, having spent as much time as she had around him you start to clearly see it. Even before any of the reincarnations happened he'd have his moments. A dark glint in his eyes, a cruel smile, mischievous voice and attitude. It was those times she had to give it to him, because he could turn it on and off like a switch which made it great for acting. Like he had done not too long ago. It was also a good way, he found out much to her embarrasment and shame to get her flustered whenever it fell to his favor.
Clever bastard..
(Y/n) hated to admit it.. but she had no choice.
She had to give it to him damn it.
"I go with whatever pops in my head when I start telling the story. That one seemed to be one that popped in my head for some reason too." she tried to shrug off, if only that were possible.
"(Y/n)..."
"Stop! I'm still freaking mad about you pretending you didn't remember me that entire time!"
Leaving another kiss to her skin he only hummed.
"Right.. as if you wouldn't have done the same.."
She would've.. which is why she actually wasn't that mad at all. No way in hell she'd admit that out loud.
(Y/n) gasped slightly as she was lifted slightly to sit in his lap, his arms circling to wrap around her waist in a protective hold. His lips attacked her neck almost immediately afterwards.. leaving red and purple marks, some small and some not. It was all a short tease before he finally bit into where her neck and shoulder met, causing a small breathless moan to escape her. The pain in her chest lifted finally after the years she'd been away from him. The glowing chain marking their bond fixing itself by another bit from Naraku's actions.
The large crack created by Kurai in the past still remained today if only barely now. Naraku made sure of that. By claiming her over and over again as his mate.
"It's almost gone finally." he mumbled, licking the wound clean as always, the puncture wounds healing over almost instantly to leave another faded scar near the rest.
She nodded, leaning back against him finally.
"Yeah.. but besides that.. what now? No one but Sesshomaru knows of your story and why it is you've done the things you have.." she asked, worry beginning to take place.
"I have some pretty heavy explaining to do.. and quite a few apologies to give. Especially to Sesshy.. He hates me now.. doesn't he? After what I did to that Rin girl."
"He knows why.. He might have changed a lot since the past, but he still cares about you as one of his only best friends from his childhood. He'll never admit it in a million years, but it shows quite clearly by itself. That doesn't mean he'll let you off just like that though.." she spoke, "As for the others, I don't know them well enough for that."
He nodded
"If I get you killed again, I apologize in advance."
(Y/n) couldn't help but laugh at the casual tone. Honestly, it was hard not to grow used to it in the end.
"I can only imagine the next life we live.. it's funny. We're demons -only half but still- yet we don't even get to surive at least a century before we die in each life we've had so far. Sesshomaru had officially become the oldest out of us.. Ha!" she chuckled, as he gave a small laugh to the thought as well.
It was silent for a few moments after that. A calm and peaceful silence as usual with the two of them.
"Is it wrong of me to want to stay in this room for as long as we can before having to be forced to go out and do everything that usually ends up killing us both in the end?"
Shaking her head, (Y/n) smiled slightly as him.
"No.. I think it's quite reasonable.. I myself wouldn't mind doing such a thing either. But you shouldn't forget about your incarnations running about this hide out of yours." she reminded, thinking back to the woman who had led her from her cell.
Naraku leaned his head back with a sigh.
"Right.. I'll have to free them too. I think it'd be best to do first.." he nodded to himself. And it only took a snap of his fingers to transport the hearts to each of their rightful owners. "Now.. lets wait and see if Kagura runs in coming to kill me or get at least a stab in herself."
After a few moments of hearing demons scurry from the building with a couple gasps of surprise. (Y/n) nodded towards the window, causing him to look over as well and see said woman flying off from a top her feather.
"She was peaking in ealier. I wouldn't be surprised if she heard most of what happened.." (Y/n) said, watching the woman soon dissapear.
Naraku sighed with relunctancy, standing up with her in tow.
"It's only right to see Sesshy next.."
Sensing his fear, (Y/n) gave him a reassuring smile, taking his hand in hers.
"Would you rather take your time to calm yourself and walk.. or rip the bandade off and allow me to take us there right away?"
"Let's rip the damned thing off." he decided, resolution in his eyes as his grip on her hand tightened.
She nodded and within a blurry second they appeared not too far away from the dark hide out to find Sesshomaru's group having set camp for a sleepy Rin and Jaken. Ah-Un simply watching the flames that kept them warm. Sesshomaru himself had been perched a top a branch keeping watch.
His golden eyes immediately narrowed spotting Naraku before they spotted you and as always, softened if only slightly. The light expression you wore told him she'd been able to wake his memories.
Naraku himself watched the dog demon in heasitation. He felt as if to take a step would be threat enough for him to attack. But with (Y/n)'s hand still holding his own.. he took the chance. An-
He blinked.
Pure shock ran through his veins.
(Y/n) watched in surprise herself if only for a moment before smiling slightly and finally letting go of his hand to allow them their moment.
For Sesshomaru had flashed from one point to the other and wrapped his supposed enemy in a hug. One he'd force you both to never tell anyone about. Which for his sake and reputation they wouldn't.
Naraku slowly wrapped his own arms around him, limbs still stiff with surprise. No one could really blame him. THE Sesshomaru, oldest son to the great dog demon who always looked like he wanted to snap your neck or really didn't care about those around him, was hugging his 'worsed' enemy.
"Sesshy... I'm so-"
"You died before you could visit me in your last life." he cut, sounding if only a little angry about the fact. "I haven't seen you in almost 2 lifetimes now."
Naraku finally relaxed after that.
"Aren't you supposed to be all stoic now? Emotionless and uncaring besides for the little girl and (Y/n)?" He asked, a small smile making way to his face.
"You as well. I might have never said it when we were younger. But you were my best friend, I almost saw you as an older brother.. I've missed you a lot.. for both my part and (Y/n)'s."
Those words were a once in a millenia right now. Of course it had only been Naraku and (Y/n) to hear them at all which wasn't surprising.
Finally he flashed back to be perched on the branch as he'd been before with a pointed glare.
"You can continue your apology now."
The half demon chuckled silently to that as he nodded.
"I'm sorry for what I did to both you and her. I'll apologize to her as well when she wakes up." He said, going to turn to (Y/n) only to find her gone before turning to quickly find her curled up with the little girl.
He took quiet and elegant steps towards the pair before sitting himself next to them. (Y/n) was quick to lean her head on his shoulder and smile.
"I've missed you a lot.. I hope we have more time this round." she sighed, her heart aching.
Naraku gave a nod of agreement before looking up to the dog, his mate following suit before she simply grinned. That alone seemed to drag Sesshy down to be sitting on the other side of Rin. So now they were in a group cuddle of sorts.
Rin was sleeping between you and Sesshomaru while he leaned back against Ah-Un to close his eyes, his arm having been wrapped around you in the progress. Naraku was sat right next to (Y/n), his arm wrapped around her waist to keep her as close to him as he could. Both of you by that time had fallen asleep almost intantly. As for Jaken. He'd somehow ended up sleeping on the queens laps.
As usual.
Peace before the storm.
And (Y/n) having learned the hard way many times that nothing such as peace or happiness lasted forever. She was waiting for something awful to happen.
But so far.. Nothing.
