Ye Lisa was lazy. If others didn't provoke her, she wouldn't attack them. Mother Jeon had warned her before she and Shen Eunha came upstairs, "You're the host today. Don't lose face."
And so, she didn't take Shen Eunha's earlier words seriously. Her words went in one ear and went out the other ear. That woman had bad intentions, a hole in her head, and her morals weren't right. Why should she bother paying attention to her?
That lasted until Shen Eunha bluntly threatened her.
She nimbly cut a hole in the dress that she hadn't worn once, then she looked at Shen Eunha with a smile. "Sorry Miss Shen, I don't have any clothes that's suitable for you to wear."
For a while, Shen Eunha was too stunned to react. She looked at the pair of small scissors in Ye Lisa's hand, then she looked down at the long cut that had been made on the dress from her waist up to below her chest.
She thought she knew Ye Lisa. Ye Lisa was supposed to be reticent, shy away from trouble, and have an inferiority complex. She had seen all sorts of people in the entertainment circle. A person like Ye Lisa should feel even more inferior when she was in front of a woman that was more outstanding than herself. Her self-loathing should get worse. She would get angry, but wouldn't dare to express her anger. That anger would just fester in her heart. Her words should have become a thorn in Ye Lisa's heart that would burrow its way inside. Once that happened, she would only have to wait until an opportunity arose for those negative feelings to burst out with a loud bang.
How many times can a man like Jeon Jungkook tolerate Ye Lisa if she acted poorly?
No matter how good their relationship was now, it would get worn down until there was practically nothing left.
Why did Ye Lisa act contrary to her expectations and dare to do something like that?!
"Ye Lisa! What are you doing?!" She angrily looked at Ye Lisa. Although a meager amount of anger appeared on her face, her reason was still there. She didn't react in an extreme way. She lowered her voice at first and asked, "Are you crazy? How could Jungkook marry a woman like you?!"
"It's none of your business why Jungkook wanted to marry me. I'm Mrs. Jeon and everything in this room belongs to me including the dress that you're wearing. So, you're in my home, please take off my dress and return it to me. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Shen Eunha looked like a lady from a prestigious family, but she spouted off a bunch of nonsense. If she didn't stand up for herself, outsiders would think she was a cowardly good-for-nothing.
Telling Shen Eunha to take off the dress was blatant humiliation. In all her years, she had never been so humiliated.
Shen Eunha's face was pale in fury. She looked at Ye Lisa for a long time and was shocked to see the fierceness in Ye Lisa's eyes. Ye Lisa looked as if she was going to tear the dress off of her in the next second.
However, Shen Eunha only took a deep breath and stabilized her emotions.
"So Miss Ye is a clever person too. I was the one that underestimated you. You must have put in a lot of effort and thought to wheedle Jungkook into marrying you, huh?"
Yeah, she had tried really hard back then, but it was also spent in trying to escape. Jungkook had used an agreement to tie him to her and they already have a kid together. She might as well make the best of it.
"I just don't know how long you’ll remain novel to Jungkook.” Shen Eunha sneered, "You don't have a strong maiden family and you're not the type that Jungkook likes..."
All those words just meant she thought Ye Lisa would be kicked out of the Jeon's one day.
"I don't need Miss Shen to worry about that. Time will tell you how long Jungkook and I last. However, I hope that you won't actively try to insert yourself as the third party while Jungkook and I are married. Not only is that unethical, I don't think your fans would want to see that side of you.”
"You're threatening me?"
"I'll pay you back whatever you toss at me. Miss Shen, you exchanged time for all of the fame and achievements you have today. It would be such a waste to lose your reputation in one fail swoop. You're a smart person too. I'm sure you understand what I'm saying."
"Those words could apply to Miss Ye too. Miss Ye, what were you thinking when you snatched your brother-in-law from your sister?"
Ye Lisa raised her eyebrows. "Ji Eun was the one that told you that, right?"
Ye Lisa couldn't be blamed for suspecting Ye Ji Eun. She didn't jump to that conclusion. She had considered other possibilities, but Ye Ji Eun was the only one that had nothing better to do than spread gossip.
