This is a continuation for the senior reader oneshot requested by @Purple_DeathDragon there's also going to be apart 3, I finished it already so it's most likely going to come out next week

You cross your arms as you watch Yuki continuously bat, as much as you want to stop him, you knew better than to do that
Just like Chris, he has this sense of determination around him that just screams. Besides, you knew he wouldn't listen, so why bother?
"Senpai, I didn't notice you there." He says in surprise as he goes for a run in your direction
"You did look preoccupied." You muse out and hands him a towel and a bottle of water, "I want to give you food but sadly Masuko and the others ate all of it." You chuckle, remembering the earlier chaos in the cafeteria
"Are you hungry?" You ask him kindly as he shakes his head
"Sure?"
He nods
"Well if you say so." You sigh, "Don't stay out too late, if anybody comes for you then hit them with the bat hard, I have your back." You remind him as his grip on the bat tightens as he nods
"I got it, senpai." He nods as you chuckle before going inside the dorm, already thinking about your study sessions with the other members of your grade
You love their passion for Baseball but sometimes you can't help but wish that they had something besides their mind aside from Baseball so helping them study wouldn't be too hard
"Well, we can't have everything we ask for." You shrug before entering your room, yawning as you sit on your desk, stretching and stopping when your back cracked
"Wow, I'm really growing old." You sigh, feeling a slight pain in your back, "It will be gone by tomorrow." You shrug, taking a pen from your case and opening your notebook for Literature to create a reviewer for the others

Turns out the pain didn't subdue and alongside having an aching back, you also ended up having a stiff neck after falling asleep on your desk
"(First name), are you sure you're okay?" The current captain asks you as both of you walk towards the field, "I'm fine, it's just a bit of pa-"
"You shouldn't be saying that." He scolds you, "If you were a player then you would've ended up sitting in on the game."
"Good thing I'm not then." You reply simply
"But you're our manager and you're just as important as a player." He crosses his arms on his chest, "You need to rest."
"I'm fine." You argue, pouting as you stare at his stubborn face
"No, you're not."
"I have to help the other managers! Summer is coming up and I want to help as much as I can."
"What if that gets worse?"
"It's just back pain and stiff neck, it can't be that ba-"
"Oi first years!" He called out to some of the first years walking, "Come here!" He orders as the other first years look at each other before walking toward the captain
"Yes, senpai?" Fumiya asks as you look behind him to see Miyauchi and Tanba behind him
"(First name)'s hurt, if she needs to carry something then he-"
"I'm fine!" Your repeat yourself but the captain just glares at you as you hmph and glare at the ground while pouting, listening to him instruct the boys to help you if you ever need anything
"Got it?"
"Yes, senpai!" They reply, the captain excuses himself and leaves you with the three boys
"Senpai, are you sure you aren't supposed to rest?" Fumiya asks carefully, noticing that you weren't very happy with the captain's instruction
"I'm fine." You frown and look at him, "I'm not even that hurt." You try to raise your arms but you just end up flinching
"My body was just surprised by the sudden movement," You say defensively as they stare at you
"Senpai, you are hurt," Fumiya points out
"We'll help you, senpai," Tanba says quietly as you turn to look at him and Miyauchi
You but your lip, contemplating whether you should accept their help or not
"Don't you have training?" You ask them
"We're only having light training today." Miyauchi replies as you sigh
"Fine, but if you guys are called then you'll go back." You finally agree as all of them nod and follows you toward the other managers
"(First name)-senpai, good afternoon!" Takako greets you as you enter the room, the other managers follow Takako but stop when they see the three guys at your back
"The captain made them help," You say bitterly
"Senpai's hurt so we came to help," Fumiya corrects you
"Senpai, you're hurt? You should have rested!"
"(First name)-senpai, leave the work to us! Don't worry and take a day off!"
"I'll do my best today senpai so please get better!"
"I'm already here though." You frown, "Besides, they're already doing my work for me." You point behind you towards the guys, "So don't worry, I'll most likely be just watching over you guys." You smile at them reassuringly but they still looked worried

"Oi are you skipping practice?" Isashiki demands once he spots Tanba, Fumiya, and Miyauchi
"No we're not," Tanba denies, "We're helping (Last name)-senpai because she's hurt," He says, worry filling his voice
"But she won't listen when we say she should just rest." Miyauchi sighs, looking over to you that was writing something down in your notebook, it was the notebook you always hold whenever you're watching the team train
"She's injured?" Isashiki asks, moving closer to them as if he was listening to some big gossip
"Yeah."
"Why is she here then?"
"She doesn't want to rest," Miyauchi repeats
Isashiki grumbles something under his breath, no wonder you seem down!

"I remember I just had the three guys as my helpers." You muse out, it was already the end of the day and usually, the players would be in the baths
But here are the first years, all cleaning the field and carrying every box, they were even washing the trays!
"Don't worry senpai, we're okay." Yuki nods
"That's not what I meant." You frown, "You kids should be resting rather than doing these sorts of things."
"We aren't tired!" Isashiki denies loudly and soon the others were following him
"Especially you, Chris." You mutter under your breath when the catcher passes by you
"I'm alright, (Last name)-senpai." He smiles before handing the basket to Sakai
"Senpai we can even cook for you tonight!" Masuko announces proudly, his chest suddenly puffing out
You raise an eyebrow, "Can you even cook?" You ask, smiling teasingly
"We can!" They argue
"Really?" You ask, leaning forward, "I'm worried that I might get food poisoning with your food." You continue to tease them as they all start arguing with you, someone even started to list off the ingredients for Spaghetti
"Just so you see, senpai! We'll blow you away with our food!" Isashiki announces as he points a finger at you
"Like your bazooka ball?"
"Yeah!" He exclaims proudly
"Your bazooka ball can't even get into the strike zone." Someone in their group comments as the others laugh
You can't help but chuckle along, you hope their batch will always stick with each other, it makes you happy whenever you see them enjoying themselves with one another

"You idiot that's not how you cut a carrot!"
"There's too much water in this rice! What is this a porridge?"
"That's too much oil, Yuki!"
"There are eggshells in this scramble!"
"Who cooked this? This is too perfect!"
"Masuko, stop eating that! That's the only edible thing here!"
You couldn't help but feel nervous as you listen to all of them argue
You know you promised them that you would rest and wait patiently in your room as they cook the late night meal for you...but your curiosity got the best of you so you decided to check on them
"Oh my god, please tell me the ones who can cook are with them." You pray mentally before turning around just to hit someone's chest
"You're supposed to be resting." The captain comments
"I was just taking a bit of a walk." You say cooly just as something inside the kitchen seems to fall on the floor
"What are they doing there?" The captain asks, "I thought they were just making you a meal?" He thinks out loud
"You know about it?" You ask in surprise
"Of course I do." He scoffs, "The first years have been discussing it since dinner." He chuckles as if he finds the whole thing amusing
"Really?"
"Yep, they even asked us what was your favorite food." He scratches the back of his head, "I didn't think they would actually try and make it."
"Do you want me to get you out of it?" He offers but you shake your head
"I want to try their food," You reply honestly
"You might end up in the hospital."
"That won't happen." You scowl before hitting his arm, "Besides, they're working hard, I want to give it a chance." You shrug before walking back to your room
"You're too soft on them!"
"You're just jealous 'cause I'm their favorite senior." You stuck your tongue out at him as he returns the gesture

After two hours, someone knocks on your door
You open it to see Takako
"The food's ready, senpai." She smiles nervously as you nod and follow her to the dining room
"You look worried." You comment as she jumps in surprise, "Don't worry! I'm sure what you guys did tastes good!" You cheer her up as she beams and nod
"Senpai's here," Takako says as she enters the room with you following behind her
You look at the boys one by one and couldn't help but chuckle, it was obvious they were trying to hide the stains on their shirt
Then your eyes land on the table to see...so many plates of food
"I-I'm eating all of these?" You ask weakly, mentally counting all the food on the table
"You need to eat to get better." Yuki nods
"Food helps with making your body strong," Masuko adds
You look at Takako who just smiles sheepishly, "They had a point."
You want to tell them that it wasn't possible to eat that all by yourself but as you look at their excited, proud (and slightly anxious) faces, you decide that it's impossible to actually say no to them

"That was great!" You gave them a thumbs up once you finished everything. You tried to offer them to eat with you, but all of them simultaneously said no and told you that it was all for you
You didn't lie, it was good. Sure there were a few (maybe more than a few) eggshells in the scramble, the rice was slightly soft, the vegetables were a bit big and the meat had too much salt but everything was edible!
"Really?"
"Yep, although I am full because of it." You chuckle before patting your stomach, "But I really enjoyed your food, thank you for cooking for me." You say sincerely before standing up to bow
"Once I get better, I promise I'll return the favor." You say to them but they all started to argue with you, telling you that they just wanted to take care of you too and that they're also returning the favor and whatnot

Once you felt better, everything went back to normal. The captain stopped making the first years help you and they went back to their regular regime as you returned to your duties as the manager, although the team did start getting busier as the Summer tournament drew closer and closer
