"Damn you didn't have to say it like that" rolling your eyes you take a step back before walking away then stopping "Thanks for letting me know, though" you smiled - hiding the heart break that he had caused.
"Whatever. You know damn well you're not my type and never will be !" He sounded like an asshole and didn't bite his tongue even though he knew what he was doing. It was true. You weren't his type. You didn't have the characteristic he so called wanted in a woman.
Todo didn't care if he hurt your feelings. He was tired of having you around. Trying to weasel yourself into being next to him all the time. To him that's how he saw it. At times he wished that you'd go bother Kami or talk shit with Mai - instead of you having around him.
"I don't know if I want to punch you or drown you right now" Kokichi voices out his opinion after seeing things go down. He sat at the picnic table that Todo was at, with his chin resting on palm.
"The fuck do you know ?"
"More than you do" the smaller male gets up and walks away leaving Todo alone with his own thoughts "Fuck you too. Talking about some MoRe tHaN yOU"
As he had wished - you no longer hung around him. You started hanging out more with Mai and the other girls and even laughed with the boys, except him. You didn't even look his way anymore unless is was exorcising a curse.
You stopped going out your way to make him feel included. Your smile was no longer directed to him but other people on the street or around the school building.
"Let's talk crushes !!" Miwa yells out as you all gather around the small pond outside the training grounds.
"Those are a waste of time, Miwa. We also all know that you simp for the tall dumb ass with white hair" Mai looks at her with a brow creased. The blue haired girl didn't let even listen to Mai's words. She went on to talk about her 'admiration' for Gojo then looked over to Kamo.
"I know you like someone ~" her face turns into a sly look - creeping up to him, waiting to hear his answer.
Momo looks at Kamo also smiling slyly wanting to hear an answer. The witch like girl even poked him with her broom stick encourage him to answer the question.
"Crush ? Why would I have one of those when I can become stronger for my clan. Like Mai said those are a waste of time. But if I ever did like somebody I still wouldn't tell you. That's information that should be kept to yourself because you never know if the other person reciprocates the same feelings you have" Noritoshi's words hurt you. Not because he was trying to be mean but because you had told Mai and Miwa about your crush on Todo and things didn't end up the way you wanted them too.
Kamo's words also got to Kokichi. He noticed that the way you acted towards Todo. He didn't even have to be told about your crush on the buff guy. But that was weeks ago. He picked up the way you were now carrying yourself. No longer doing anything for Todo. Not even interacting with him as much as you used to.
Todo listening to the conversation as he scrolled on his phone, he heard the two girls go up to you with the same glint in their eyes. "Nah, don't have one" you answer letting yourself go upside-down on a tree branch. You shirt making it's way down to reveal your bra. Quickly pulling it back to where it was and tucking it in your pants you notice Todo blush along with Noritoshi.
"That's lame (y/n). What happened with your old crush ?" Mai instigates wanting to prove something.
"I realized myself worth" you shrug
"Queen shit" she winks up at you
"Don't we have to go to town because of a complaint that's possibly a curse ?" Asking you see Noritoshi peel is eyes open.
"Yes. I'll be going with you this time" he gets up and even pulls you down from the tree, into his arms so you wouldn't fall.
His actions made Todo's stomach churn. Why was it that Noritoshi being this close to you, make him feel a bit mad and sad at the same time ?
"I can go with you if you want. Kamo can take the day off" Todo stands up from where he was. "No it's fine. We can handle it" Noritoshi answers for you with you nodding in agreement. "We'll be back in a couple hours. Depends how long it takes us to defeat the curse" you wave as you head off.
After you left, Todo found himself in his room looking at the ceiling. It had been four weeks since Todo went off on you. He questioned himself why you had changed your way of being with him. You treated him the same way you treated the others. With respect but also kept your distance.
In the span of those four week - Todo started to miss the way you gave him more affection than the others. He missed you finding your way to be with him. He missed the mornings he'd hurry you up to get ready for a busy day at the school. Most of all he missed you comforting him when his bad days came tumbling down on him.
He noticed that he stopped doing things that he'd do with you because he didn't want to think about you not being there for him to do the activities with. The burning feeling in his stomach when you went on missions with any other person that wasn't him made him jealous. He thought it was just rage but that for sure was jealousy.
"Finally you guys are back" he hears Mai from outside the dorms. He saw you holding a bandage with a growing blood stain around your torso and saw Noritoshi's eye with his blood mark over his eye and scratched up also with a bandaged arm.
The panic in him startled him. He wanted to run and see if you were fine. Carry you to your room to lay down before you tore your wound open.
"Surprised we made it out alive. The doctor said we need two weeks of off time before we tackle our duties"
"Yea. I almost even became a doughnut" you joke, hunching over in pain with a groan after letting out laugh "Aww I can't even laugh now"
After you rejected Mai's helps to walk you back to your dorm - you walked yourself to it wanting to be alone and process what had happened in the mission in silence.
As soon as Todo heard your footsteps make their way into the dorms, he walks out stopping you. "Excuse me" you say moving to the side. "C-can I talk to you ?"
You look up while holding your wound. Stopping helped you from feeling any pain as the stretch of the muscle was what hurt you when you walked. "What is it ?" You wince feeling a sharp pain as you inhale.
"When you get better .... Would you let me take you out ?"
You look up at him with an expression of disbelief. A face that he couldn't take apart by one of you being in pain or mad.
The silence ate him up - He became jittery and nervous under your stare.
"No" you answer finally being able to move passed him. A few more slow steps and you're at your door when he asks:
"Why not"
"'Cause you're not my type" you throw him a bored look before opening your door and going into your room. Leaving him outside his own door finally understanding what Kokichi meant.
