Jillian was at home, reading a book. It was about a girl wanting a dead alligator for her birthday. She laughed at the funny parts. The doorbell rang, and her mother answered the door. It was her Aunt Charlotte, and her cousin Becky.
"Hi, cousin!" said Becky.
"Hi, Becky!" said Jillian.
Becky was Jillian's favorite cousin. They were the same age. They were both 7. They decided to go on the swing set out back. Her mother pushed Jillian, and Aunt Charlotte pushed Becky.
"Whee!" exclaimed Jillian.
"This is fun!" chimed Becky.
"I love spending time with you, Becky!"
"I do too, cousin!"
Jillian and Becky were more than just cousins. They were also best friends.
