As I can feel my phone vibrating I realize that Melo is calling me I simply decline the call knowing he was calling to slide through to whatever party or talk to me about some bs I get up and get ready after I decide to call back Melo
"hello" "yo why you ain't answer my call earlier" " I was sleep" I replied "oh well I'm about to slide through" he said as he hung up"Rude.. didn't even say bye," I said as he hung up

"YOOOO CUZZOOOOO" he semi yells in my house "what are you doing here I thought you had a game today?" I say while he gives me a side hug.

Before I could respond he gets a call and steps out and come back in "I'm finna head out, slide thru though come early I want you to meet someone" he says still with the phone to his ear "okay" I simple reply

After I sent the text I bumped into someone I didn't know his name but he was tall "omg I'm so sorry" "Nah your good" and that was the end of it I went to my seat and seen someone looking at me, who look very familiar
I try to not to make eye contact but then it rang a bell it was Jalen the boy everyone had a crush on in high school including me as I stood up to go say hi LaMelo approaches me with the guy I bumped into
"And homebody made it," Melo said I started to laugh a bit "oh so this is ms clumsy," Cade said looking me up and down. "I'm still sorry about that" I genuinely say.
"Your good" "so you play with my cousin Melo" "yeah I'm Cade," he said shaking his hand to greet me "nice to meet you Cade I'm y/n" "well sorry to cut it short love birds but we gotta get dress and warm-up" Melo says
"Love birds?" I say scrunching up my face questioning why he said that "welp gotta go Cuzzo" he says dragging Cade with him "but..." I say watching them walk away
I see a body approaching me "well well well if it isn't miss volleyball star" jalen says as he's walking to me "volleyball star? you're the one who went pro Mr. big shot" I say getting up"Like you ain't play for D1 college? Give me a hug girl" he said extending his arms
"wait cause what are you doing at a basketball game you never go anywhere?" he asked me

During the game, I saw jalen looking at me and cade but I keep wondering why me? girls like me never get this attention from guys let alone 2 GUYS. Fast forward to the end of the game the players goes back in the locker room and
I bump into jalen "homebody" he said excitedly I roll my eyes and laugh a lil bit "what you doing after this?" he asked "I dont know yet cause im with melo" i reply "well let me know if you not doing anything"
After the game was over Melo finally comes out and guess whos behind him cade " sooo whats the move?" I ask "yall trynna slide to the fair?" cade askes
"fuck it lets go" we get there and ride every possible ride me and cade sat together while Melo brought this girl I had never see in my life but she older than him
As we're getting on the ferris wheel me and cade sit together and melo and ana in the one behind us I realized this cade was a vibe and funny "so cadee... tell me about yourself"
"I have a daughter named Riley shes the best thing that has happened to me, and im in the NBA" " awww thats so sweet" in my head I was in love how cade talk about his daughter I get a text snapping me out my gaze
