y/n kamado pov
"the next location is asakusa in tokyo prefecture!"
"there are rumors of a demon hiding there!! caw!!!"
the kasugai crow of tanjiro spoke out, deafening my ears. all the damn time, the crow had a rather loud and deafening voice which irritates my ears. but who am i to complain, it do gives us information for the next area we're covering.
just a while ago, tanjiro and i, along with nezuko had killed a caster demon. a caster demon, as to what urokodaki-san had mentioned before, are demons that use a special brand of magic called 'blood demon art.' which we'll be encountering in the near future.
we did encounter a caster demon a while ago, three of them actually. those demons have abducted young girls at the age of 16, to devour them as they were pleasing and fresh which in other words defined as tasty, which disgusts me at some sort of way.
we did manage to save someone who's about to get devoured, thankfully. but we weren't there when the young man's fiancee had been abducted, the most disturbing about it was her getting devoured before we even reach the village.
"say tanjiro, you've been quiet for a while. what's bugging you?" i quietly hummed, staring at tanjiro who's frowning and deep in thought as he walk in utter silence.
"i'll never forgive him."
forgive who?
"kibutsuji muzan" ended tanjiro, staring at the ground. his fists clenched, as his brows were furrowed together.
i stayed quiet, not uttering anything as i thought of what tanjiro had said. i too, will never forgive muzan, he's the main reason as to why i lost my father. and now that i'm happily and contented with tanjiro's family, he just had to show up and kill them a night where me and tanjiro were missing.

i will avenge them for sure, but a demon like muzan will never be defeated by some amateur like me. thus i would work hard, to become on top and eventually avenge my family who had died in his hands. me, tanjiro, and even nezuko will kill muzan and that's a promise.

after a few days of traveling, by the night, we had finally reached asakusa. tanjiro and i had been so lost, the area is crowded with many people, us who lived by the country-side had some culture shock as to how much grand asakusa is.
"this is making me feel dizzy." said tanjiro as his legs wiggled, earning a small giggle from me.
although he was right, the amount of people in this area is rather overwhelming. the village back in our home weren't this crowded, we have been so used to having fewer people by the streets and now that we're exposed to a large amount of people we're overwhelmed.
"let's go over somewhere not too crowded, i can't stand crowds." i said, tanjiro nodded before taking hold of nezuko and following my lead as we went to a much less crowded area.
after some time, we finally escaped and found a spot where not too many people resided. and to our luck, we even found a food stall that sells yamakake noodle.
"can we have two bowls of yamakake noodle please." i said, the older man nodded before making the noodles.
on the bench sat nezuko, who's now sleeping peacefully. tanjiro on the other hand is looking down, probably too dizzy and tired from all the walking we did to get here.
once the yamakake noodles arrived, i've took a sit besider tanjiro. staring at the bowl filled with delicious food makes my stomach grumble, thus i started eating the food to ease the hunger i've been surpassing for a couple of hours now. but my eating got interrupted with tanjiro dropping his noodles.
"hey what the--"
"why'd you drop the food, it's amazing!!"
i whined as i stared at the wasted food on the ground. tanjiro on the other hand didn't respond, his face is flushed and pale, his eyes were wide opened and before i knew it he started running to a different direction making my eyes widen as to why tanjiro's acting like this.
"he-hey tanjiro, hold up!" i shouted before placing the bowl on the bench, following before him, but suddenly stopped as i remember nezuko and rokuta who's both resting on the bench.
i look back, staring at nezuko who's sitting down, sleeping, while on her lap laid rokuta's head who's sleeping as well. both are tired from the long walk, yet both never did even touched the ground as they were carried by me and tanjiro.
if i left them here, i may make a big mistake. if i followed tanjiro, i would know why he's acting weird. but i could never leave nezuko and rokuta behind, they are defenseless and tired, and this is a huge city who knows what would happen if we got separated.
going back to the bench, the old man who had cooked the noodles came to me and scolded me for tanjiro's doing. i then sighed a little, before apologizing on his behalf. the old man continued nagging me, as i looked around the area until something caught my eye.
"can you watch nezuko for a moment? i'll be bringing rokuta, he might wake up soon and cause a disturbance for not seeing me or tanjiro." i said, walking over to rokuta who's sleeping peacefully on nezuko's lap.
"tanjiro, the one who dropped your noodles would be back soon. i'll be back in a minute, just need to check something out." i said, carrying rokuta as i walked towards an alleyway.
the old man shouted for me to come back but i didn't listened, my crow had shown up unexpectedly and probably wanted me to follow. thus i am following it, it may show me something useful in the future.
coming out from an alleyway, i saw a man wearing a white fedora with a red ribbon and a somewhat extravagant outfit. his skin is much paler than average humans who had pale skin, and something about him just feels odd.
i then saw my crow encircling high above the man who's wearing a fedora, and automatically crossed my mind that the crow must have been wanting me to meet this man. but for what?
deciding on following him, he walked in an alleyway quietly, until some group of friends bumped into him.
"my apologies." he spoked, something about his voice caused shivers to run down my spine. there is something about him so mysterious, that i need to discover.
just then, the three friends had started ganging up on him while i remained hidden in the side quietly praying for them not to notice my presence, if someone did noticed then i'll make a run for it.
a loud bang stopped my thoughts, as i stared at the man who had slammed someone against a wall. killing him in an instant. horrified, i slammed my hand on my mouth, before clutching the sleeping rokuta in my arms.
the scene that unfolds in front of me, the woman who's petrified in front of the man who had killed her companions. the man then inserted a finger on her forehead, blood rushing inside her nerves, a massive amount of the man's blood had filled the woman causing her cells to break down one by one.
this is in no doubt.
kibutsuji muzan.
removing my shaking hands on my mouth, i gently clutched rokuta in the most comfortable way as possible. steadying my balance, i got ready to make a run for it. this is in fact a not safe place for me to stay considering the fact that rokuta's with me.
"i know you're there, come out." said muzan as he glanced on the wall i'm hidden at, my breath hitched, not knowing what to do in this kind of situation.
what would tanjiro do.
no tanjiro's too dumb, he'll probably unsheathe his sword and try to slaughter muzan. not considering the chances of how much strength difference they have.
then what would i do.
there is only one thing that i could do.
once muzan took a step forward towards my direction, without a second i was standing on the roof. my sword unsheathed and on my right hand, while my left carried the still sleeping rokuta. the breeze of the wind had suddenly came blowing my hair to the side as i stared down on muzan.
muzan's expression isn't understandable. his eyes were wide, as he stood on the ground frozen and not moving. for someone who's the first demon, he sure looks frightened when i appeared.

third person pov
the man named muzan stood on the roof frozen, the same hanafuda earrings that haunted him for years. he had seen a young boy wearing it a few moments earlier, but seeing another one wearing it had run goosebumps throughout his body.
"i'm y/n kamado." uttered the girl, who continued staring at muzan with those fearless eyes that muzan wanted to plug out.
"a mizunoto in the demon slayer corps, the lowest rank." continued the girl, causing muzan to froze on his spot ones more.
a mizunoto, the lowest rank in the demon slayer corps, someone from the lower rank had avoided his attack? a young girl who worn the hanafuda earrings he despised so much, someone who's on the lower ranked had avoided him?
muzan's eyes had withered, memories from a long time ago came rushing through his mind as he remembered a certain someone from the past, who worn the same hanafuda earrings that left him frozen to his spot.
"we'll meet again, muzan kibutsuji." said the girl as she glanced at muzan for a moment, before jumping from roof to roof, disappearing to who knows where.
the man, had uttered nothing but silence. he clutched his trembling hands, putting them together as he tried calming his nerves down which seemed to work.
he was about to snapped his finger, summoning someone from the twelve kazuki's when he stopped. he let out a shaky sigh before straigtening his back, he went back on the ground and walked like nothing happened.
"once we crossed paths again."
"i'll strike twice."

y/n kamado pov
i am in a state of panicking.
"what do you mean they left?" i questioned the old man, holding my forehead.
"i've told your cousin that you went in an alleyway, and wait for you but he was too stubborn. he left with his sister to who knows where." said the old man, closing his shop as it's past midnight.
i closed my eyes not knowing what to do. i am in a situation where i could never go back, why did i let my curiosity get the best of me. now tanjiro and nezuko's gone, i don't even know where they are. i can't just suddenly sniff like a dog, i'm not tanjiro.
that's right, tanjiro for some reason had a keen sense of smell. he should be able to find me by my scent. then where should i wait, over here? or maybe find a new place where i could stay for a while and just wait for him to find me? that sounds so unlikely, i'd rather roam around and try to find them at least.
suddenly, my thoughts were cut off by my crows loud voice.
"caw!!"
"y/n kamado, you're to go to the south, where a demon had been found lurking around the area."
"caw!!"
a new mission for me?
"what about tanjiro and nezuko!" i shouted at the crow, the crow then landed on my shoulder, calming my nerves somehow.
"you both are to meet in butterfly estate, ubuyashiki's orders. caw!!" said the crow, before flying away from my shoulder, and eventually leading the way towards my next location.
who's ubuyashiki?
his orders?
is he a high ranked demon slayer?
questions circled around my head as i follow my crow. leading me towards the village where i'm supposed to kill a demon who's been lurking.
whatever, i just want this to end and meet up with tanjiro and nezuko. something about them leaving my side feels so uneasy, probably because we've been together for so long that their presence had made a huge impact on me.

third person pov
the kamado's had been disturbed with the idea of departing from each other. knowing that they were separated had left them uneasy about each other's safety, causing another worry to rise.
tanjiro who had been told by his crow didn't take the news well, he knows y/n is capable in protecting rokuta, but he wanted to be there when y/n needed him the most. he's been close to y/n since they were young that having her not beside him makes him anxious, not knowing whether they were alive, injured, or in need of help.
y/n on the other hand had trusted tanjiro, she knew him too well that he'll be fine on his on. this might become a great lesson for him to become independent and stop relying on her in terms of making decisions.
the kamado's who were separated will soon reunite, what would happen in their reunion? who would be there in their reunion? and most importantly, will they meet someone who could melt their frozen hearts, or rather would y/n meet someone who'll melt her frozen yet endearing heart?
