Sonu bhai entered in the icu room, Ms smiled seeing sonu, he thanked his intuitions that saved sonu.
Sonu too smiled seeing ms smiling but it wasn't his usual smile. Ms understood that something was off about him, it wasn't his sonu. He doesn't know this sonu, his sonu is happy to go lucky. He is the one who can make anyone smile even in their hardest times. This sonu is completely unknown to him.
Ms(calling sonu by gesturing him) : Sonu, come na.
Sonu: How are you mahi?
MS :Accident mera hua hai tera?
Sonu: Huh?
Ms: Ha toh, look at your face, I don't know who is this emotionless person standing in front me, where is my sweet sonu, who always welcome me with his charming smile and warm hug.
Sonu: Nahi Yaar, aisa kuch nahi hai. Its just I'm tired.
Sonu wasn't even blinking his eyes fearing mahi may disappear. He was continuously looking at mahi who was smiling weakly.
Ms: Wow, now you will lie to me? I know you from past 14 years. I can tell what's going in your mind by just looking at your face.
Sonu: True that. Bas main hi peeche reh gya na tere mind ko sahi se read karne mein. When you asked me to sit with yuvi, I should've denied you, I should have questioned you.
MS: What are you saying? You could have got hurt if didn't change your seat.
Sonu : Trust me mahi, I would have been lesser hurt than this. Tere saath hospital mein admit hona manzoor hai but tere bina ek pal v gujarna manzoor nahi hai. You know I died million times watching you through outside of this icu. My world crashed the moment I saw you lying on the road unconscious, covered in blood. I felt like destroying this world, when doctor said.. (choking) said that you are in critical condition.
Sonu fell on his knees, his tears were flowing like a river. He didn't even tried to wipe them.
Sonu (pointing towards his eyes) : See, tere bina toh mere aansuon (tears) ne bhi mera saath chodh diya.
Unknown to Ms, his tears made its way. He was unable to get up because of bandages, he was feeling helpless for his own condition. He just wanted to run towards sonu and embrace him, hiding this innocent soul from this harsh world. He was tried to say something but failed as he lost his voice seeing sonu breaking down like this. No he can't fall weak, he has to handle sonu.
Sonu, called mahi after gaining his voice.
Ms: Sonu, please come here, I can't see you like this, please.
Sonu went to mahi and mahi pulled him in a bone crushing hug. It did hurt in his shoulder but this pain is nothing compared to the pain he was feeling sonu like this.
Sonu forgot his surroundings, for once he forgot that they were in hospital and ms is injured. He cried his eyes out, he was tightly holding ms, trying to feel his presence.
After sometime sonu broke the hug. And asked ms if he was fine, as he was holding him tightly. He was feeling like killing himself. Mahi is injured, he should be careful, that he won't get hurt.
Ms(after composing himself) : Tu thik hai?
Sonu: Nahi, bohot pain ho raha hai.
Ms(shocked): What? Did you get hurt somewhere?
Sonu: Yes. (pointing towards his heart) Here. The pain is unbearable mahi,please do something.
MS didn't know what to do. The intensity of sonu's pain was such that was shattering mahi. He never thought that he'll ever see his soul brother like this and the worst he was the reason.
Ms: Sonu, please tell me how to reduce your pain. I promise I'll be fine soon. I'll take all the medicines no matter how bitter they are, I'll eat that tasteless food without any tantrums, I'll stay here in the hospital and won't eat doctor's mind asking him to give me discharge every now and then.
Sonu chuckled listening to mahi. Well this was a news, mahi promised to follow these, which even dada failed to make him do. A small smile appeared on sonu's face remembering the first time ms was admitted to hospital after an injury on his back. God he took the entire hospital on his head, and made everyone dance on his fingers.
MS finally relaxed a bit watching sonu smiling. Though it wasn't his usual smile but at least he was getting his sonu back.
Ms: Always keep smiling like this. You know the reason, I'm lying on this hospital bed yet I'm not worried about my family. Because I know you will be there with them. Sakshi's best friend, ziva's cutest chachu, maa-baba's most obedient son. You're my strength. You're the first one I search to share my tiniest happiness and biggest worry. Be it a long day in a practice session or tough day in life, whenever you say "Mahi yaar, tension na le, everything will be fine." I actually believe that everything will be fine. You're among those few people who can see me through my mask,who knows me even better than myself. Tujhe bikharte hue dekh kar main bhi tut jaunga yaar. Though I don't say this as I know we don't need words to express our emotions to each other but I really love you yaar. You're one of the best blessings I received from god.
Sonu couldn't believe that mahi said so much about him. Mahi was right he didn't need words to express his feelings to sonu, he knows mahi better than him. But today mahi voiced out everything, it was overwhelming for sonu. He wanted to say so many things to mahi, but he couldn't so he hugged him this time taking care of his injuries.
Oho, Humne kahi Romeo-Juliette ko disturb toh nahi kar diya, said yuvi in a dramatic tone.
Ms and sonu got apart.
Harry just went towards ms and hugged me. He wasn't saying anything but silently weeping hiding his face in MS's shoulder.
Bhai, are you ok?
Is it paining?
You got hurt so much.
Everyone started bombing their questions and showing their love and concerned.
Sonu got up from his the table beside ms and let everyone hug ms,as harry was in no mood to leave ms.
Yuvi : You idiot, monkey, stupid, duffer, cruel..
Ms: Apne synonyms kyun bata rha hai.
Yuvi(being serious) : Dare to pull such a stunt in future. I'll beat you in the hospital only and then call the doctor. Tujhe idea v hai ro-ro kar kitne calories burn kar diye maine.
Ms: Ro k calories burn?
Ro : Bhai, missed you.
Rishabh sat on the floor and kept his head on MS's uninjured leg.
Ms: Rishu, kya kar rha hai? Stand up.
Rishabh: Please bhai yehi sukoon mil rha hai.
MS was speechless, don't know what good he has done to get brothers like this. ICT is not a team its a family.
Bumrah (feebly) : Bhai, please never ever leave us.
MS called jassi and hugged him.
No baccha. Do you think I can live without you guys? Explained ms in his concern layered voice.
Jaddu was standing at last, he wasn't saying anything, he was just looking at MS's face. His heart suddenly started beating faster, he didn't know how to react and what to say. But bhai know his kiddos better than themselves.
MS(lovingly) : Jad, won't you meet me?
Jaddu's leg started walking by their own, before he could realise, he was hugging ms. A lone tear rolled down from his eye.
Jaddu(audible to Ms) : Bhai, please don't leave,
us, we don't know how to live without you and we don't even want to know.
MS (caressing his back): I promise, I will be with you forever.
Jaddu smiled listening to this, he broke the hug and gave a goofy grin to everyone. Just jaddu things.
Harry was still hugging ms. Ms broke the hug.
Ms: Harry, see I'm fine kiddo. I'm back to you guys.
Harry nodded understanding his words but hugged him again. He just want to be with his mahi bhai and feel his warmth that's it. Ms understood that and he called everyone for a group hug. The nurses who just entered in the room were about to shout on everyone for entering so many people in the icu but the scene in front of them made them smile. The bond between the brothers, made them forget the hospital rules.
