"Shanks sensei!" He barged inside his office with a desperate look
"What is it, Luffy? Something wrong?" He asked worriedly
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure sure. Sit on the couch" he obliged
"So, what do you want to ask?"
"I was wondering how I can stop asking my brothers for money"
"Why?"
"I wanted to earn my own money so that I will have my allowance and won't need their money anymore. Plus, they always spoil me when they get home and I wanted to return the favour"
"That's so thoughtful of you, Luffy" he ruffled his hair fondly.
"How about searching for a part-time job?" He suggested
"I haven't thought of that" he lighted up instantly and hugged him
"Thank you so much, sensei!" He went outside and went back to their classroom to fetch his things
"Now where would I find a job?" He asked himself as he left the school
He crossed the bridge while still lost in his thoughts. Suddenly, he collided with something or more like someone
"Ah! I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings" he quickly bowed
"It's okay" the stranger replied and crouched down to pick up the flyers
"Let me help you with that" he bent down and collected the flyers
"Here you go, sir" he handed it to him
However, the stranger didn't take it and stared at him in return
"What's wrong?"
"N-nothing" he avoided eye contact with the boy while taking the flyers
"By the way, are you looking for new employees?" He asked the stranger
"Uh... Yeah"
"Can I apply?" He asked
"Eh? Uhm... Sure. Follow me" he followed the man and walked beside him
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy. I'm 21 years old and third year in college. Nice to meet you" he looked up as he was taller than him
"I'm Roronoa Zoro. 24 and graduated. Nice to meet you" he looked down at the boy
"You look so cool. Where did you get that scar?" He asked excitedly
"From a fight" he replied with a slight flush
"Cool! Did you win?"
"Of course" he smirked proudly and the smaller boy felt his heart skipped a beat for a second
"Here we are" he announced
"Oohhh! A cafe! What will be my job here?" He asked as they went inside
"Perhaps, a waiter?" He said unsure
"Zoro, where were you-" Usopp didn't finish his sentence when he spotted the smaller boy
"Guys! Come out for a second!" Everyone from the kitchen went outside
"Who's that boy?" A girl with orange hair asked him
"Our newest recruit" he replied
"What!?" They all yelled in shocked
"You know we're on the brink of bankruptcy and you dare hire someone new?! How are we going to pay him, stupid marimo!" A blonde guy with swirly brows scolded him
"I'm the manager. I can do whatever I want, ero cook"
"Huh!? Wanna go!?"
"Bring it on!"
"Stop it! Both of you!" Orange hair scolded them
"How old are you?" Long nose guy asked him
"21" he replied
"We're the same age!" He smiled
"What's your name?" Black-haired girl asked him
"My name is Monkey D. Luffy. Nice to meet you all!" He bowed in respect
"Why do you wanna apply here?" A tall skinny guy asked him
"I wanted to earn money without relying on my brothers and return the favour for always spoiling me" he replied
"That's suuuupppeeerrr sweet!" A bulky guy shouted
"I'm sorry but we're almost closing this shop because no one has been coming in for weeks" orange girl said
"That's okay! We'll just make it lively again!" He said enthusiastically and smiled widely
"Ah! He's shining!" Long nose and orange covered their eyes
"So, what do you say? Am I hired?" He asked and they all nodded
"Great! Now, how about thinking of a strategy to attract people?" He grabbed a chair and they all did the same. They gathered around and surprised their manager for getting along so well when they just met a few seconds ago
"What an interesting kid, right Zoro?" Black-haired girl chuckled and also grabbed a chair

"Okay! I think I've remembered your name now. So, let's start!"
"Muscle guy"
"My name is Franky. I thought you've memorized our names"
"Sorry! My bad!" He laughed sheepishly
"How about wearing a mascot and hand flyers about our cafe to people outside?" He suggested
"That's great! I can supppeeerrr do that!" He clapped his hands excitedly
"Zoro, do you have any mascots?" He asked
"We got a 'Chopper' mascot in the storage room" he replied
"Do they know each other? They seem close" Usopp and Nami whispered to each other
"Great! May I see our uniforms, Nami?" He asked her
"Okay. Wait a minute" she stood up and retrieved the uniform
"Here" he examined the fabric and design
"How about making some improvements to our uniform? Does anyone know how to draw here?" He asked and black hair rose her hand
"Robin, do you mind drawing the things I describe?" He asked and she nodded
Minutes later

"It's so pretty! I'd wear this every day!" Nami squealed excitedly
"I'd love to see Nami-chwan and Robin-chwan wearing those!" Sanji yelled as blood came out of his nose
"It's surprisingly nice, Luff" the manager approved
'Luff?' Everyone thought
"Does anyone know how to play instruments here?" He asked
"I know how to play different instruments, Luffy-san"
"Great! Starting now, you're a musician"
"Yohohohoho! I'll be glad to"
"Wait! Why are you deciding on your own?" Zoro rose his eyebrow
"Well, you don't want to close your cafe, right?" He retorted back and the other sighed in defeat
'Holy shit! I thought he was gonna fire the newbie!' Everyone screamed in their thoughts because they knew their manager well
"Sanji, may I see the menu?" He asked and he handed it to him. He looked at the menu and motioned swirly brows to head inside the kitchen
"Usopp, Franky, follow us!" He called his assistants
"He's reliable, Zoro-san" he smiled fondly
"I know" he replied with a smile
"DEFINITELY GAY"

Sanji = blue
Usopp = yellow
Robin = purple
Franky = cyan
Brook = black and white
