HAPPY HALLOWEEN! ― It's fall break! (Which is only two extra days off school, but I'll take it.) I finally have time to make an update and do some planning for more Wattpad content! I didn't make that many edits this month because of school. My skills are getting a little rusty, but I hope these are presentable enough!
I WAS A LITTLE LAZY WITH THIS- ― Though I did actually put effort into her eye makeup. I just didn't try that much on her hair or additional illustrations. I made this edit when I was bored, and I wanted to get a little more experience in smudge-editing. This took maybe only an hour or two. I should definitely be more bold with adding illustrations and highlights.
I DID THESE DURING STUDY HALL. ― There's nothing much else to say about these- I did these just to pass the time. I edited them on a school-owned chromebook (which blocks a lot of websites that aren't school-related.) So all of the photos I used were from Google. I actually like how these turned out though!
THIS TOOK AROUND 8 HOURS TO MAKE. ― Now, I've made plenty of illustrations n' stuff before, but I've never actually made a digital painting, especially one as realistic(ish) as this one. As you can see, there are no actual details because I only used soft brushes and air brushes. I was too tired to add smaller details.
I'm proud with this though! The colors might look a little strange because I painted everything in black and white first, then I added color. The lighting also might be off because I just airbrushed some purple and some yellow over everything, but it looks okay at least?
I SPOILED HER DEVIL COSTUME FOR Y'ALL- ― I'm not sure if I'll make anymore costumes because the spooky month is just about over. I feel like I definitely should have made at least ten though because these doodles don't take much effort. I'm glad I was able to make five costumes though! My favorite has to be her pumpkin costume or the ghost one haha. Which one's your favorite?
I UPDATE THIS BOOK'S COVER ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. ― This cover's probably my favorite out of the total four! Though I really liked the previous cover too. But this cover really gives off the kind of vibe that I wanted "Zero Oasis" to give off, if that makes sense. I didn't really put much into the details here, I focused more on the overall atmosphere. I also wanted to do something more creative with the typography, but i decided that simple text would complement the serene environment.
There's a lot more I could've added to this cover, but I was seven hours in and I wanted to get a cover update finished as soon as possible. Let me know what you think of it!
FUTURE PLANS! ― I want to share some of the chapters I have in the works right now, and I also want to share how I plan to format all of my graphic related books. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my ideas so far!
1. I DON'T THINK I'LL BE OPENING MY SHOP BACK UP.
I know I promised to open it back up like three weeks ago- but I don't think I'll be able to fulfill requests at the moment. I haven't even made that many graphics for myself, and I want to enter contests again! I hope this is all right with you guys.
2. CHAPTERS IN THE WORKS RIGHT NOW:
― Graphic shop concept ideas.
― Font lists.
― (Maybe kpop opinions? Music-wise.)
3. I WILL MAKE A NEW GRAPHIC PORTFOLIO (I JUST DON'T KNOW WHEN-)
I proposed that one idea a while back where I'd like to make a portfolio without a consistent theme. Instead of using the same borders and banners for each chapter, maybe I'll make a differently-designed banner or a new kind of loading banner! It'd be a lot more spontaneous and surprising in a way.
And I might make a separate book for tips and tutorials. I still haven't even made a single tutorial- I'm kinda scared to? Like I want to be as helpful as possible, but I feel like my tutorials won't be good enough jsksjksjs
4. NEXT SUMMER'S GRAPHIC WAR.
I've announced before that next summer's graphic war will be space-themed. I've now decided that the event will also feature two other judges! Those judges haven't been decided yet though.
It's too early to figure out who's available to judge and who isn't, but just know that I will be looking for two people to help judge when the time comes!
NOW WHAT ABOUT YOU? ― Do you have plans for Halloween? Have you already had some little celebrations for the spooky season? What about trick or treating? I'm planning to go trick or treating this weekend! I'm dressing up as a dark fortune teller in a flowy, black, hooded dress.
Oh, and do you think you can ever be too old to go trick or treating? Because now that I'm in high school, everyone in my grade is super against trick or treating. I really enjoy it though! I love going around and seeing everyone's costumes and house decorations.
OH, OH! What's your favorite candy? I'm a big fan of Twix!
