I had woken up that friday that we were leaving
Me and mom had packed all of our things up and loaded into our car most in a mini uhaul hitched to the back
Mom had agreed to let me stop by the chateau to say goodbye
"Honey its time to go " mom told me as I was sitting down by the dock reminiscing
I stood up and nodded making my way to the car
I got into the car with my head down looking at my feet
" I know you hate me right now but im trying to do the best for you " mom says
" it's not like I have a choice " I sigh

I turn my face to the window as we drive
Soon stopping at the chateau
I opened the car door hopping out
" you have 5 minutes we have to be on the ferry by 9 " she says

" we're in the backyard" I heard pope yell from the back
I chuckled and walked over to the backyard
There they stood . Kie , sarah, jj, john b, and pope ...waiting for me
When I saw them I almost immediately started tearing up
" oh don't start crying cause then I'll cry and then pope will cry then well all start crying and it'll be a mess ..." kie says
We all laugh while trying not to cry
" oh I made this for you " jj walked closer to me pulling a handmade leather bracelet out of his pocket and handing it to me

I hear mom honk the car horn
We all look at eachother and start to cry
" I'm really gonna miss you guys " I say walking closer to all of them and giving a group hug
" please just promise us that you won't forget us ?" John b asks me
" forget you guys ? I couldn't do that if I wanted to " I chuckle

I look at them knowingly and start walking backwards toward the car

We all walked to the front yard and watched as she drove away
My heart sank as tears ran down my face
I looked in my hand at the necklace kacy gave me
" you ok ?" Pope asked me
" shes gone" I shake my head
" it's all gonna be ok i mean we can still call her and she can visit us and we do the same " kie said trying to make me feel better

Kacys pov
It had officially been 2 years since I moved to the main land
I had a good online job that made me a decent amount of money .
College was never on my radar so after I finished highschool I basically stayed inside with no freinds
Meanwhile me and jj had called and texted eachother evryday .
Long distance was hard but we tried to make it work
Today I was coming home to "visit" obx for the first time
I was getting off of the ferry with my luggage looking around for jj
I started walking down the dock
I dropped my luggage as I saw jj and ran up to him
He picked me up spinning me around while we kissed
" god I missed you " I stopped kissing him

"Oh my god ! I thought you were only staying a week . Why do you need so many clothes?"

We pull up to the chateau and get out leaving my bags in the car

They all laugh along
" omg I can describe how much I've missed you " kiara walks up to me and hugs me tightly
" have these three really been that much ?" I ask

" ok.... so there is something I need to tell you guys " I say
Evryones faces dropped to concerned looks
" you're pregnant?" Sarah asked
"Number 1 No I haven't seen jj in 2 years that would be impossible and number 2 ... I was thinking that I should mabye sorta move back here" I say the last part in a swoop breath
" wait really ? .... like you're not joking right now like you're full and well serious " jj said as I nodded excitedly to every question he asked
He ran over to me and picked me up squeezing me
" wait where are you gonna be moving into " kiara asked as jj put me down
" the old crain household ... heard it got raided by teens " I say
Evryone stays silent

On the boat
After changing into my bathingsuit we go on the boat
After a few beers and some of the devil's lettuce we were all laughing up a storm
Dancing around to music
As the sun set
Bestfriend started playing
Me and jj looked at eachother
"The song that started it all " me and jj said in unison cuddling up closer to eachother
I'm so glad I came back home
