Ginny rubbed her eyes as she felt someone shaking her back and forth.

"What?!" She hissed to her best friend.

"Sorry to wake you, but it's time for breakfast. Go get changed." Hermione apologized.

"Alright, alright. I'm going. Just don't wake Teddy. I'll get Harry." Ginny groaned.

"Great. I'll be down in the hallway with Ron waiting." Hermione walked away.

Ginny shook Harry awake before pressing her fingers to her lips.

"Shh!" She whispered. "Go get dressed then we'll wake Teddy."

Harry nodded, running off to change. Ginny did the same.

They quickly changed then ran back to the common room to get Teddy.

Teddy woke up, when Ginny lifted him from his crib and began to cry.

"Shh....it's okay Teddy Bear. It's okay." Ginny said soothingly.

"I'll get his bottle." Harry offered.

Ginny nodded. Harry ran to get the bottle for her. Once he'd returned, they walked downstairs and joined the prefect couple waiting for them.

"About time!" Ron whined. "I'm hungry!"

"When are you not, Ronald!" Hermione scolded.

"Never!" Ron smirked, giving Hermione a quick peck on the lips.

"Get a room!" Ginny teased.

"I guess I deserved that after all the times I've done it to you." Ron laughed.

The foursome walked into the Great Hall where their classmates were filing in. Several students looked at the couples when they heard a baby babbling. Despite Teddy not able to form words, he was still very talkative, just not in the sense where one could understand him.

"Oi! Potter!" An unfortunately familiar voice rang out.

Harry and his friends turned around to see Draco Malfoy walking over, with his gang of Slytherins behind him.

"What do you want Malfoy?" Ron growled.

"I just wanted to see my cousin..." Malfoy said, without his usual attitude.

Ginny and Harry looked at each other.

"You mean, Teddy?" Ginny asked.

"He's my cousin. I wanted to see him." Malfoy repeated.

"I-okay." Harry decided.

Hermione and Ron both looked surprised at Harry's answer. Harry just gave them a look that said trust him.

Harry could sense something different in the former bully.

"Hello, Teddy." Draco said, in an unusually kind voice.

Teddy looked at Draco for several minutes before babbling with a grin. Draco looked relieved at the nice reaction.

"Draco?" A young women's voice called.

"Coming!" Draco said.

He waved to his cousin, gave a small nod to the others and ran towards the Slytherin table.

"Come on, Harry. Let's go eat. We have classes today!" Hermione said.

The Griffindors walked over to their table and sat down.

"Hey Wo-Ron." Lavender Brown said walking over to where the friends were sitting.

"Oh, hey Lavender." Ron said uninterested.

"So uh.....how are you?" Lavender asked, hopefully.

"Good, you?" Ron replied.

"I've been....better. The full moon is soon so I've been a bit tired." Lavender looked down.

Hermione gasped. "Oh Lavender! I'm so sorry. I completely forgot you got bit! You were infected?"

"Yeah. I was...... Parvati and Padma have been super helpful after my parents kicked me out, but I'm just glad to be back at Hogwarts." Lavender bit her lip, slightly uncomfortable with talking to her ex's new girlfriend.

"Would you like any help? I could brew you some Wolfsbane, if you want!" Hermione offered.

"R-really? Hermione, I-I don't know what to say! Why would you want to help me so much?" Lavender asked.

"I feel awful for how I treated you in sixth year and even more awful after having seen what you'll go through each month. I want to help." Hermione said.

"As do I!" Ginny added.

"I'll help too." Harry smiled.

"I'd love to help you, Lav!" Ron told her.

Lavender became teary eyed. "I don't know what to say! Thanks so much!"

Lavender noticed Teddy. "Oh! Is that Professor Lupin's son?"

"Yes. His name is Teddy." Ginny replied, smiling at Teddy.

"He's so cute. Is he part wolf?" Lavender asked.

"I'm not really sure. He doesn't behave the best around the full moon and he gets whiny, likely from being tired or having a headache." Harry said.

"Poor thing!" Lavender cried out, pitying the baby.

"We give him some Wolfsbane to keep his behavior better and to help his headaches we give him a potion." Ginny suddenly realized something. "I'll have to ask Professor Slughorn to brew him those potions. They are too complicated for a half werewolf, for Hermione to brew."

After some more conversation, Lavender left to talk to her other friends, allowing the friends to eat their food quietly.

Then it was time to go to class.

Since Ginny was in the same year as Ron, Harry, Hermione and Neville now, she was taking the same classes with them.

Their first class of the day was History of Magic with Professor Binns, the only ghost teacher in the school. He was a very strict teacher.

"Hello students! Welcome back to another year of History of Magic!" Professor Binns shouted.

There were some scattered hellos thrown around the room as students scrambled to get to seats. Nobody really liked this class. Not even Hermione.

"Hello Mr. Potter! Miss Weasley! Is this the baby I've heard so much about?" Professor Binns asked.

"Yes, this is Teddy. I hope you don't mind having him. He's a bit cranky today." Ginny said.

"Of course not. He's the son of two of the many who died saving the castle. I would be heartless to refuse to let him stay here." Binns said, shaking his head sadly.

"Thank you, Professor. " Harry said in appreciation.

Harry and Ginny sat down next to each other, with Teddy in his godfather's arms. Teddy began whimpering when his godfather sat down, not wanting to be seated.

"Ha Ha?" Teddy asked.

Harry beamed. Despite Teddy being able to babble plenty, this was new. He had not been able to put letters and noises together properly yet. This was one of his first 'words' though it wasn't much of a word. At least not yet.

"Hey Teddy Bear. I'm here. We have class so you need to stay quiet, okay?" Harry asked the baby.

Teddy whimpered but then nodded his head  to show he understood.

...........................................................................

As it turned out, babies did not understand the meaning of being quiet. They were apparently to little.

Teddy started to whimpering again fifteen minutes into class. Professor Binns didn't notice for a bit. However some students close to Harry and Ginny did notice.

"Can you shut that baby up?" A male Griffindor in Ginny's year that Harry was unfamiliar with whispered angrily.

Ginny glared at him. "Shut yourself up. He's an infant. I can't do anything about him getting antsy." Ginny hissed.

The boy glared at Ginny but did not speak again.

Teddy whimpered quietly again. He looked around expectantly, as though looking for someone else.

"Gin?" Harry whispered to her.

"Yes?" Ginny sighed.

"His hair....." Harry's voice sounded choked up.

Ginny turned her head and looked at Teddy. Tears instantly sprang to her eyes and threatened to fall. Ginny blinked back the stoning tears as she looked at her godson's hair.

His bright bubble gum pink hair. The hair that matched his dead mother's hair. He still remembered her, vaguely, but still remembered her. He wanted her. And she couldn't be there.

Ginny and Harry looked at each other silently before looking back at Teddy. Tears were beginning to travel down the baby's cheeks.

Ginny bit back a cry before raising her hand. "Professor Binns? Can we step out for a moment?"

"Of course Miss Weasley, Mr. Potter. Go on ahead. Return when you are ready." The ghost teacher said.

Several students glared at the couple, envious of their escape from the lecture. Ginny and Harry ignored the angry stares and left the room to calm the infant, who was starting to wail as he realized his mother was not coming.

Once they were out of the room, they began to comfort the baby.

"Mm?" Teddy whimpered.

"N-no Teddy. Your mummy can't come right now....I'm sorry." Ginny said, a tear rolling down her cheek as the baby began to cry harder.

"I might have a way to quiet young Mr. Lupin." Mcgonagall said, coming up from behind them.

They followed the Headmistress, and saw a painting. A lot of paintings.

"After the Battle, I decided to make a hall on the castle dedicated to those who fell protecting the school. Edward's parents are in that frame." Mcgonagall said before leaving.

"Teddy?" A familiar voice asked with eagerness.

"Oh Teddy, m'boy!" Another familiar voice cried out.

Ginny gasped and Harry smiled. Tonks and Remus Lupin were standing side by side in the picture frame smiling at their son.

"Teddy! I've missed you so much!" Tonks cried, her bubble gum pink hair matching Teddy's.

The baby quieted down, and stared at the people standing in the frame.

"Mm? Ddd?" Teddy asked.

"Yes Teddy. That is your mummy and daddy!" Harry grinned at him.

"Mm! Ddd!" Teddy squealed.

"Hi baby! I missed you and you cries and the way your hair would change colors." Tonks said, tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Hello my boy. Your mummy has missed you. So has Daddy." Remus Lupin said.

Teddy looked at Remus now, his hair changing to the same brown shade as his father's.

"Ddd!" Teddy cooed.

For a few more minutes, they spoke to Teddy's parents before finally bidding their goodbyes and returning to class.

"Ah, good to see your back Miss Weasley, Mr. Potter! How is our little friend?" Professor Binns asked.

"He's good now, thank you Professor." Ginny said sheepishly, before sitting down in her seat again.

Several students in the class glared at the couple but they ignored it.

The lesson continued and when it was time to go, both Harry and Ginny couldn't have been more relieved. Or at least until they remembered that they had several more class left in their day....
