Chapter 134 - "Help, Daddy! Help!" (3)
Little kiddo Jiang XingChen didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. He thought he looked very pretty. He looked at himself back and forth in the mirror and even waited for his mother to praise him. Alas, when he looked up, all he saw was his mother’s very gloomy look.
“Jiang…. Xing…. Chen…..” said Cheng Huan, pausing between every word. Her face was so dark that ink could drip out of it any minute. Her teeth gritted, she said in a very deep voice, “Is your skin itching?”
XingXing was no longer the fearless child that he once was. He had been beat before and knew that spanking hurt a lot. Seeing the look on his mother, he knew that this couldn’t go well for him. Scared, he tossed away the lipstick. The un-retracted lipstick fell on the floor and broke into halves, rendering it completely destroyed.
Due to inertia, the lipstick rolled for a bit on the ground and left a long, red mark on the carpet. If Cheng Huan’s face looked like it was about to start dripping ink earlier, now she looked like she could eat someone alive. She slammed on the table, stood up, rolled her sleeves up and was going to spank XingXing again. “I guess you need another beating!”
XingXing had no idea what he had done wrong. He turned immediately and started running out. He called out for help on his way out, “Daddy! Help me, Daddy!”
Jiang MingYuan had just stepped out of the elevator when he faintly heard his son calling out to him.
What happened?! Startled, he ran up to the door and pulled out the key from his pocket.
XingXing had just ran out of the bedroom when the door opened up. Acting like a drowning person who had seen a straw, he quickly ran toward Jiang MingYuan and hid behind his pant legs.
Jiang MingYuan didn’t even have a chance to ask what had happened before he saw Cheng Huan walking out from the bedroom. She looked very unhappy and not in the mood to engage with anyone.
Jiang MingYuan felt relieved when he saw that both of them were safe. He figured that the little kiddo probably had done something else to anger Cheng Huan. He felt that he should help mitigate the situation and he dragged XingXing back inside the house by his arm.
XingXing didn’t want to go inside at all. But Daddy had already gone inside. Wouldn’t it be more dangerous had he stayed outside? He was a smart kid who knew who could help him out. He followed closely behind Jiang MingYuan and gripped onto his pants tightly without his head showing at all.
“What’s the matter?” Jiang MingYuan asked the person not too far from him after he had walked inside. “Did XingXing do something wrong?”
Cheng Huan couldn’t be bother to explain. She tightened her lips at Jiang MingYuan, walked over to sit on the couch, then she lifted her chin as though she was a queen and said, “Why don’t you go see for yourself?”
“Huh?” Jiang MingYuan was baffled but still dragged his son out from behind him. That wasn’t what the little kiddo wanted but, being too young and weak to put up a fight, he was exposed against his will.
XingXing’s face explained it all to Jiang MingYuan. He felt helpless as well. He rubbed his son’s brow and his hand turned red.
He rubbed his fingers together and knocked on XingXing’s head with his knuckle. Finding it all very amusing, he said, “Why are you so naughty?”
After his not-so-strict words, Jiang MingYuan turned to Cheng Huan and pleaded for his son. “He didn’t do it on purpose. He probably just didn’t know that he shouldn’t have touch that. Just coach him slowly. There’s no need to intimidate him like that.”
Just like Jiang MingYuan had said, Cheng Huan’s purpose was just to intimidate XingXing. She really wasn’t all that angry. It was just a lipstick and not that expensive either. She could always buy another one to replace it. The only reason she reacted the way she did was because XingXing had been too naughty as of late and she wanted to teach him a lesson.
Cheng Huan didn’t want to let XingXing go lightly. She sneered and said, “He had been very naughty lately.”
“It’ll just take so time is all.” Jiang MingYuan maintained his stance. He tone was mild, like that old an nice, old man.
