Three years later
"alright kids today's going to be a fun family day. Who's ready for this!" I turned to my family to see the kids glued to the phone.
"ok no" I snacked the phones out of their hands.
"mom!" they whined.
"don't you mom me!" I scolded them "this is family time. I'm not going to let it be ruined by some dumb devices"
"agreed my dark prince" gundam nodded "shall we burn their phones?"
"gundam no!"
"gundam yes!"
I sighed. Why can't I have a normal family!
We walked into the restaurant and took a seat. The kids huffed at first, still annoyed that they couldn't use their devices but after a while we were all talking and laughing. Just enjoying each other company.
I was grinning from ear to ear when we left. Dispite them being sixteen now I still feel like we're as close as we were when they were kids.
