Imposter

Am I really even a poet?
I don't even know what I'm doing
What "brevity" means, I don't know it
From my head clumsy rhymes are spewing

Phrases dance around in my brain
Like some bizarre circus ballet
They twirl again and again
All running around all astray

And yet I just may be a poet
I'll pretend that I know what I'm doing
What "brevity" means I don't know it
My mind will not be my undoing.
