Hope POV
All my life I've looked for a perfect place to fit in.
But I've never found the right place. until you.
I was working in the library of the Salvatore school because I got into a fight that morning, and you walked in.
You seemed to be in a very important call. I got a little closer to hear the conversation.
"no mom, lizzie and I won't be joining you for dinner with you and stefan, we already made plans with dad" josie says as she makes contact with a very old but neat book.
I'm a huge fan of books, my father would read them to me when I was younger so books have always been my safe place.
soon Josie, ended the call and sat down to read the book she picked out.
"I didn't take you as a James Joyce kind of girl" I say
"I'm sorry who are you?" she says with a confused look
"I'm hope, hope mikaelson we have like 4 classes together" I say
"oh yeah, well I love all types of books." she says
she loves books, noted.
"same I might sound crazy but I'm in love with books especially neat books " I say
"I hate when the books look damaged, books have feelings too" she said with a smile.
I chuckled a bit. Was she flirting with book talk or is it just me? It's just me.
"well, i have to go it was nice talking .... books with you" I say
"yeah, now a days nobody my age loves books, i always have to force my twin sister to read a book with me. It's good finding someone that could relate to me" she says
"why don't we have a drink sometime maybe you could tell me your favorite book?" I say
"mhmm, i'll like that" she says
"okay, great" I say before beginning to walk off
"hey hope!" josie says
"yes?" i say
"wouldn't you want my number?" she asked
"oh yeah" I say before she put her number in my phone
"Okay, I should really get going now" I say with a smile
"yeah, sorry" she says.
Josie, your smile was the most pure thing in life. what do you want in life? I need to find out more about you and your family if we are some day to get married. I hope that you and I can fancy all of your favorite things. Maybe you and I could create something better than my past. Until that day, you mustn't know about my past not just yet.
After about a hour, I arrived home.
"hey sweetheart how was school?" my dad says
"why are you so late?" my mom says
"it was good dad thanks" I say before walking upstairs
"hope! I asked you a question!" my mom yelled
"I don't have time to fight right now mom" I yelled back
(Ring Ring)
saved by the bell.
"this conversation isn't over" my mom says
"yeah whatever" I say
