Mia groaned to herself as she woke up in bed next to Derek. She rolled over and face him as she heard Izzie and Esmè who were arguing
"what are they arguing over" Derek asked half asleep as Mia rolled over so that she was straddling him
"Izzie wants Esmè room"
"oh too bad" Derek said as she smirked as she leant in and kissed him.
He kissed her back and smirked as he rolled over so that he was on top of her and smirked
"you know that anyone could come in here right" Derek asked as Mia looked to him and smirked "so that's part of the thrill I think we both know" Mia said as he smirked
"well we never were caught in New York" he said as she smirked. She leant in and kissed him as he ran his hands up her thighs and pulled her close.
Mia moaned as he pushed into her. She bite down on her lip as she adjusted to him. Mia dug her nails into his back as he started to move in and out of her. Mia moaned as he pulled her close and kissed her.
Mia rolled over so that she was on top of him. She looked down at him and smirked as she bite her lip as she started to rock her hips against his as he gripped her hips as she rolled her head back and she felt herself release her load as he followed her and smirked as she rolled over and lay in bed next to her as the door opened as Esmè walked in causing them to jump
"Don't worry I know that you two have been doing but I need to talk to my sister" Esmè said as Mia looked to Derek and smirked
"I guess I'll have to try and sneak out. What's the best way" Derek asked
"it's either waiting or the window" Mia said as Esmè chuckled. He stood from the bed and started to get dressed as he walked over to Mia and smirked as he leant in and kissed her
"ill see you later" he said as he walked over to her window and climbed out as Mia sighed as Esmè looked to her and smirked
"so much for being careful" Esmè said as Mia smiled
"what can I say a girl had needs" Mia said as Esmè smiled
"is Izzie still after your room"
"yeah and she can leave it, I am not giving her my room besides if she's next to you she will hear you and mcdreamy all night" Esmè said as Mia looked to her and smirked
"oh so now your calling him that" Mia asked as she looked to her sister and smiled
"Addie called. I haven't answered. Have you spoken to her" Esmè asked as Mia looked to her and shock her head
"what am I meant to see hey Addie how are you doing I'm busy banging your husband. No it's just too complicated right now" Mia said as Esmè nodded in agreement

Mia got to work as she was on rounds. She took a sip of her coffee and sighed. She was tired with her night with Derek still
"Fools on bikes killing themselves. Natural selection is what it is" Bailey rambled as she talked over the dead baby race
"So what's up with the Nazi, is she off her meds" Alex asked George as mia rolled her eyes
"You never heard of the race?" Mia asked as they walked past the OR board where the chief and Burke were standing
"Chief! Dead baby bike race started twenty minutes ago" Bailey said
"All right, people! Dead baby bike race day!" Webber said as mia looked to Esmè who rolled her eyes, they both knew it was going to be a long day
"Every year this bar -" George said
"The Dead Baby Bar" Meredith said
"Every year, they hold this underground bike race" George said "Don't you wonder why someone would name a bar something so disgusting?" Izzie said as esme looked to her
"Least they didn't name it Isobel" esme sassed as Izzie glared at her. Mia knew esme was still pissed at Izzie for trying to take her room
"Keep your panties on, Nancy Drew" cristina said To Izzie
"The race is completely illegal, and -" George said
"Crazy, a bunch of bike messengers racing against traffic trying to beat each other for free shots of tequila" Meredith said
"All-out, no holds barred competition, sounds like fun" alex said as Mia chuckled
"Yeah, you would think that" Izzie siad as mia shot her a glare "leave him alone Isobel" mia said
"The race doesn't even have any rules. Except eye gouging - no eye gouging" George said
"Oh great, we're going to be trapped in the Pit bandaging up idiots when we could be up in the OR?" Cristina said
"it's part of being an intern Yang" Esmè said
"What kind of people engage in a race that has, as its only rule, that you can't rip out the eyeballs of another human being?" George said
"Men, Georgie, men" alex said
"I need someone to get up to the OR floor, the Chief needs a right hand" Bailey said as Everyone's hands shoot up.
"George" bailey said as the rest of the interns sighed
"Okay people, the rules of trauma. Don't mingle with the ER interns, they don't know their ass from their oesophagus. Sew fast, discharge fast, take bodies up to the OR yesterday. Don't let me catch you fighting over patients. Got it? Come on, let's go" bailey said as they headed into the trauma room
Mia walked into the trauma room and glanced around
"Oh, it's like candy, but with blood, which is so much better" cristina said
"Oh my god..." Izzie said
"Mine!" Cristina said
"I saw him first!" Izzie said as they ran off fighting over a patient. Mis saw a guy sitting up with nails in his side
"Ooh. I'll take that guy" mia said as Alex looked to him
"No, you'll have to beat me to him first" he said as they ran over to the patient

"Heads he's mine, tails he's yours" Alex said as mia rolled her eyes at him
"Why do you get to be heads?" Mia asked
"Because I have a head, and you are tail" alex said as Mia looked to him
"Excuse me. Do you want a slap as I will hit you" Mia said as she closes the curtain on the patient and glared at alex
"How do you make everything dirty?" She asked as he flipped the coin
"Ha. Tails. There are plenty of other cases" Mia said
"So go get one. I was here first" alex said
"no you weren't and I am not backing down so I can do sutures all day while you're up in the OR. This is a surgical case, and you know it" mis said
"It's superficial. I mean, it's cool, but it's superficial" alex said as mia rollled her eye at him
"How do you know those things didn't rupture his peritoneum?" Mis asked as she crossed her arms over her chest
"Because he's sitting up, and he's sitting there talking to us!" Alex said as the guy pulls the curtain back
"Excuse me, I was wondering if you could take these out, and sew me up, so I can go and win my race?" He asked
"Well, we can't just pull them out, I mean, we ought to - " mis said as Alex does just that and grace looked on
"do some tests" she said
"Oh, wicked" the guy said as mia looked to alex
"Are you out of your mind?" Mia asked
"It's a superficial wound. Sew him up, and let him finish his race" alex said as moa looking to him angry
"You - you -" mia said lost for words
"Good man" the gut said as mia rolled her eyes

Mia was sewing up viper, and looked to him
"Ah, you got a nice touch. And by the way, you are a rocking babe" he said as mia looked to him and rolled her eyes
"Seriously, do you actually think you have a shot here?" Mia asked
"I like to think I've got a shot anywhere" he said as mia rolled her eyes
"Look, you really have to let me take you for some tests, and a CT. You could have internal bleeding" mia said
"No thank you, I've got a race to get back to" he said as mia rolled her eyes
"Why? You can't win now anyway" mia said
"Doesn't mean I can't cross that finish line. There's a party at the finish line. Do you want to meet me there?" He asked flirting
"One test. A CT. I'll have you out of here in an hour" mia said
"Can't do it, gotta go" he said "Okay, well, you realise that you're leaving against medical advice and I strongly urge you to stay" mia said
"The frat guy said I could go" he said as mia rolled her eyes
"The frat guy is an ass. Okay, well, you have to sign an AMA form" mia said
"Darlin', I will do anything you want me to" he said "What is it with you guys and your need to dirty everything up?" Mia asked
"I don't know. Maybe it's just testosterone, eh?" He said
"Maybe. You might want to see a doctor about that, too" mia said as she handed him the forms
"Come here" he said as He gets up, takes a few steps towards the door, turns back, grabs grace and kisses her.
"That was for good luck" he said leaving
"Don't worry, darling, you'll see me again" viper said
"For your sake, I hope not!" Grace said as she begins to strip the bed. She looks up and sees Derek standing outside.
"What do you want?" Mia asked as derek walked inside
"You make out with patients now?" He asked as mia smirked
"What are you, jealous?" He asked
"I don't get jealous" he said as she rolled her eyes
"Are you sure besides it was you this morning" mia said as Derek looked to her and smirked
"And don't I know it, the marks on my back say something" he said as mia smirked
"You know, I almost died today. Yeah, I came like this close. How would you feel if I died? And you didn't get a chance to go out with me?" Derek said as mia rolled her eyes
"Get over yourself already. You jumped from a window" mia said
" I was on about that actually but I'd easily jump from a window for you" he said as she smirked
He took a step towards her and smirked "what have you got to loose" Derek asked as Mia looked to him and smirked as he backed her against the wall and leant in and kissed her
Mia wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed her back as they kissed passionately for a few minutes before he pulled away and smirked

Mia walked into the canteen as she saw esme as she sat eating a cheese burger
"what's up with you"
"barbie got me in on a harvest surgery well she wants to harvest the brain dead guys organs and Meredith and I had to harass Burke in the mens room" esme said as mia looked to her and smirked
"you really have a thing for world class surgeons don't you. Switching to heart surgeons now" Mia teased as esme pulled a disgusted face
"oh god no. I still love mark and Burke he's a heart surgeon and he's cockier than mcdreamy but that works for you I suppose" esme said as mia looked to her and rolled her eyes
"He's good in bed what can I say and what we went through in New York it can't be for nothing. We risked everything and here we are together but he's still my boss and I am still the intern and it's complicated and messy and I just don't know what to do" mia said as Esmè looked to her and smiled
"you want more than so just sex" esme said as mia looked to her and nodded
"I mean don't get me wrong the sex is great but if he is chasing me I need more. I mean the affair in New York he risked everything and I want more than just sex and it's just us two here" mia said
"You need to talk to him and tell him what you want" Esmè said as Mia looked to her and nodded. Mia knew that she was right.

Mia walked into the gallery where the rest of the interns apart from alex who had worked his way into surgery with Burke
"I seriously hate that guy" Crisitina said
"Alex is vermin. That surgery is ours" meredith said
"At least Burke is doing the surgery. I don't care about Alex. George? You did good" ixxie said as bella took a sip of her coffee
"maybe you change your speciality if you don't care from surgery to organ recovery team" Esmè said as mos looked to her and chuckled.
Mia knew that esme hated Izzie and she hated her even more for trying to kicks her out of her room at the house
"I'm going to have to dodge Burke for the rest of my career. He could kill me and make it look like an accident" George said as mia looked to him and smiled
"it will be oaky Georgie" mia said as George looked to her and smiled

Mia stood in the locker room as she changed at the end of her shift as alex walked in. She knew how she had tried to give him the benefit of the doubt unlike the rest of the intern but he was a cocky jerk and not in a good way
"God, I smell good. You know what it is? It's the smell of open heart surgery. It's awesome. It is awesome. You gotta smell me" alex said coming up behind mia and leaning onto her and pushing her towards her locker
"I don't want to smell you" mia said as she tired to push against her
"Oh, yes you do" he said as mia turned around and grabbing him, pushing him against the lockers by his shirt and glared.
"You have got to be kidding me! Okay. I have more important things to deal with than you. I have roommates, and boy problems, and family problems" mia said as Alex yawns and glances around
"You want to act like a little frat boy bitch, that's fine. You want to take credit for your saves, and everybody else's? That's fine too. Just stay out of my face" mia siad as Derek opens the door and walks in as grade grabs Alex by the chin, making him look at her
"And for the record, you smell like crap" mia said as She turns and they both see Derek as mia goes back to her locker as Derek looked to them confused
"She attacked me" alex said as mia went to charge for him again as Derek grabbed her stopping her
"Mi, no" Derek said as she looked to him as they held a look as mia walked back to her locker, she couldn't help but smile to herself at the nickname. It was something he called her back in New York
"You know, you might want to leave. Before I change my mind and let her beat you to a pulp with her tiny ineffectual fists" Derek said as He pushes Alex out the door and closes it while Alex pulls a face at mia who glared at him.
"What?" Derek asked as mia looked to him for a moment as she walked over to him and kissed him.
Derek was shocked for a moment as he kissed her back. It was passionate but quick as she pulled away and looked to him and smiled as she walked off out of the locker room
"Are you okay" he asked as she ran her hands through his hair and smiled as they held a look
"Yeah I'm okay" mia said before she walked out of the locker room

Mia got back to the house and frowned as she saw George and Izzie as they sat watching Meredith mothers old tapes, she was already annoyed enough with the day that she had and this was a step to far, Meredith was her friend and she knew that this was overstepping the mark
"Are those her mother's surgical tapes?" Mia asked
"We should watch the skin grafting one first" george said
"Where did all this stuff come from" mia asked
"Oh, I unpacked some of mer mother's things. I was upset, and when I'm upset I like to nest" grace glared, then starts taking pictures down
"It's not all about you. This is Meredith fault and you don't touch her stuff. Leave it alone" mia said as she stormed off to her room
"I ordered Chinese food" george said
"bring it when it comes" mia said as she walked into her room and saw esme and Meredith who lay in her bed and smiled
"are you okay" mia asked Meredith who sighed
"There just too much" Meredith said as she took a sip from the bottle of tequila as she handed it to Mia who took a sip and sighed
"I'm going to kill her, I mean it" Esmè said talking over Izzie
"here have a drink" mia said as she handed emse the bottle of tequila as esme down half the bottle and sighed
"I think i came so close to killing alex karev today" mia said
"that's a shame he's a jerk and deserves it" Meredith said

Mia walked into work with esme the next morning and looked to her and smiled as alex walked over to where they were
"Why is the Nazi making us stay in the Pit two days in a row?" Alex asked
"Leftovers" mia said
"Leftovers?" He asked as she looked to him and rolled her eyes
"Gotta get the cyclists who were too drunk or too stupid or too scared to get themselves to a hospital yesterday" mis said
"While meanwhile, she gets to do a freakin' organ harvest" alex said looking at esme
"Oh, that kills you, doesn't it?" Esme asked
"What?"
"That three women got the harvest" esme said
"No, it kills me that anyone got the harvest but me. Boobs do not factor into this equation. Unless you want to show me yours" alex said as mia and esme exchange looks as They're waited for the elevator
"I'm going to become a lesbian"
"Me too" esme said agreeing

Mia stood working in trauma with alex and frowned as she seen viper from the day before who was sitting waiting in a chair
"What's Viper doing here?" Mia asked
"Probably crashed his bike. Again" alex said "How long has he been waiting?" Mia asked
"Don't know, I'm busy on real cases. He's all yours" alex said as mia rolled her eyes
"I wasn't asking your permission" mia said
"Viper? Viper?" Mia said as she walked over to him Viper is holding his side and not looking at her as He starts to cough.
"Are you okay?" Mia asked as He tries to get up and she runs to him, but he falls, Mia frowned as she saw He's unconscious and blood is coming out of his mouth.
"Viper" mia said as She lifts up his shirt and saw his stitches have ripped open and the area around them has swelled up to the size of a small melon.
Mia sat on top of viper as they managed to get control of the bleeding, she was putting pressure on the wound
"Call up to the OR and tell them we're coming. Page Dr. Bailey" mia said
"Right away" a nurse said as Alex is staring at Viper, hands on hips, a bit stunned
"Alex! Push the damn gurney!" Mia said
"Clear the way. Coming through" a nurse said
"Somebody get the elevator!" Alex called
"Hurry. I don't know how long I can keep this wound closed" mia said as she looked to the Elevator doors close as They watch the level numbers light up
"Move faster, damn it" mia said as they arrived and got into the OR where Mia is still straddling Viper
"Well, this is a new one. Somebody get her off my patient" bailey said as mia climbs down
"Mia, go get cleaned up and scrub in, Alex, get back downstairs" bailey said
"Yeah, but I helped" alex said
"Helped! They tell me down in the Pit that you only want to take the hot cases. In every pack of interns there's always one fool that's running around trying to show off, and Alex, this time that fool is you. Get out" bailey said as he leaves
"Somebody get me something to stand on, lower this table. The mountain's going to have to come to me" bailey said looking to the OR table

Mia walked out into the waiting room with bailey she saw. A group waiting that she took as vipers friends
"This lovely group's his friends. Uh, you all belong to -....what's his name?" Bailey asked mia
"Viper" mia said
"Viper?" Bailey asked
"Yeah, we were in the race" a man said "How is he, is he okay?" A girl asked as bailey looked to them
"Is he okay? No. No, he is not okay, at all. He hurled his body down a concrete mountain at full speed for no good reason. Yeah, I know you all pierce yourselves and smoke up and generally treat your bodies like your grungy asses can't break down to, you want to kill yourselves, flying down a concrete mountain, go to it, but there are other people walking, people driving, people trying live their lives on that concrete mountain, and one of them got his brains scrambled today because one of you little sniffling no-good snot-rag -" bailey said
"Doctor Bailey -" mia said
"Yeah, yeah so no, your friend Viper, as far as I'm concerned, is not okay "bailey said as she walked off leaving grace standing there
"She's, um, really tired, but, uh, Viper's going to make it. He's gonna live" mia said
"Cool. Thanks"

Mia stood packing up her stuff in the locker room as Derek comes in and shuts the door
"I just wanted to see if you were okay after you know nearly killing karev" Derek asked as Mia smiled
"I'm okay but I thought we could talk over us" mia said as he frowned
"Why do I feel like your going to dump me. Wait your not sleeping with mark too are you" Derek
"No that's Addie and Esmè. I wanted to talk over us, Seattle is a Fresh start for both of us and I came here to be with you and I want this, I want to make it work and I know it won't be easy but I want more than sex I want a relationship" mia said
"I want that to. So how about we take this slow" Derek said as mia smiled
"Yeah I'd like that" mia said as he pulled her close and kissed her
Mia looked to him and smiled. She knew how things were and how complicated their past was, because of their affair but could they really make a relationship out of what they had knowing that he was still married to her sister and how would things weren't going to be easy at all.
But how long was addison going to stay away for and would she find out the truth with Mia and Derek and their history and the affair that they had behind her back?
