Qi Le An was shocked, then he tried his best to calm down.
He stood up and smiled at the girl. “Hello, is this your dog? It’s very cute!”
The girl instinctively replied, “Thank you! It is actually very naughty. It has to come out for an hour or two every day.”
Qi Le An smiled again and said, “I see… The weather is not good today, and it might rain at night. You’d better go home early.”
The girl nodded and said, “Yes. The weather forecast says it will be raining. I’ll go walk the dog first.”
Qi Le An even waved goodbye to the girl, who left with the dog. Qi Le An found himself sweating.
It would be a disaster if he was seen taking a stroll with Wei Chang Feng on a dark path.
Wei Chang Feng approached Qi Le An, amused. “Are you nervous?”
The two of them walked to the parking lot. The Hai City at the end of March was still cold. New leaves had not come out of the trees on both sides of the path, bringing a bleak touch to the city.
“I was scared out of my wits.” Qi Le An whispered.
Because of the shock, he lost the mood to wander around. He sat in the car with Wei Chang Feng and waited until midnight.
History of Death did not hype, and it was a weekday, so not many people came to watch the movie.
When Qi Le An went to get the tickets, he took a glimpse and found the cinema was half empty. He went to buy popcorn and coke and thrust the food in the hands of Wei Chang Feng, who had a taste and commented, “The popcorn here doesn’t taste good. I should have made you some at home and brought it here.”
Qi Le An threw a piece into his mouth. The popcorn seemed to be stale without the crispy taste. It was not very sweet, and it did not have the caramel flavor.
Qi Le An said honestly, “If you had made it at home, I might have finished all of it before we set off.”
Wei Chang Feng smiled. The cinema started to remind people to enter. The two of them waited for a while. When they saw that all the audience was almost inside, they finally went out of the corner and got to the ticket check-in.
The usher was about to check their tickets. He looked up at them and gasped.
Qi Le An put his index finger on his mouth and hushed him. The usher hurriedly checked the tickets and let them in, his eyes filled with excitement.
The two of them entered the cinema and followed the emergency light to the corner of the last row. The character acted by Wei Chang Feng had just appeared on the big screen for the first time.
He looked stunning in a black tunic suit and octagonal cap.
“You are so handsome,” Qi Le An whispered.
They were lucky that there were no people around them, and the secluded corner seemed to be specially arranged by God. Wei Chang Feng on the big screen was pulling a rickshaw with an impassive look on his face, while Wei Chang Feng in the cinema took Qi Le An’s hand and toyed with it.
At first, Qi Le An was concentrated on the movie. Gradually, he couldn’t help looking at the man next to him.
Wei Chang Feng didn’t seem interested in the movie, and he looked up at the screen occasionally. Qi Le An withdrew his hand and put it on Wei Chang Feng’s knee.
Wei Chang Feng chuckled softly.
For some reason, Qi Le An felt hot. In the dark cinema, the story on the screen continued to develop, but Qi Le An could not focus on it anymore. He felt that Wei Chang Feng got closer to him and breathed on his neck, which brought him goosebumps.
His brain went black. Although Wei Chang Feng did nothing, Qi Le An started to pant. He whispered pleadingly, “Wei Sama.”
This was the second time in the day that Wei Chang Feng had heard Qi Le An call him like that. Finally, he couldn’t stifle his desire, taking off his coat and putting it on Qi Le An’s lap.
Qi Le An didn’t expect Wei Chang Feng, who had always been serious, would do such a thing. He forgot about the movie, which was shut out of their world. He could only hear the pounding of their hearts.
When he came out of the cinema, Qi Le An felt that his knees were weak. He didn’t know what the movie was about. He glared at Wei Chang Feng angrily. How could he not know that Wei Sama would do such things before?
Wei Chang Feng couldn’t figure out either why he was carried away. Ever since he got together with Qi Le An, he was getting out of control. He smiled apologetically at Qi Le An’s angry eyes and leaned to his ears, saying, “Don’t be angry. I’ll get the director’s edited version for you.”
Qi Le An was frustrated. He wasn’t angry that he hadn’t seen the movie at all. He blamed himself for going weak when he was with Wei Chang Feng.
The two of them quietly left through the emergency exit. When they got into the car, Qi Le An looked at the time and found that it was already half-past two.
Wei Chang Feng drove the car and asked, “Are you hungry?” Do you want a bedtime snack?”
Qi Le An said, “No. Are you hungry?”
Wei Chang Feng gave a meaningful smile. “I didn’t do any physical activity just now… I’m not hungry.”
Qi Le An was lost for words. ‘Wei Sama is nasty. He is really nasty.’
After they got home, Wei Chang Feng made Qi Le An a bowl of noodles. Although Qi Le An had said that he was not hungry, he had an appetite when he smelled the fragrance. After he ate the noodles, he took a stroll to help the digestion. Qi Le An’s plan to go to school the next day was completely ruined.
He had evidently set an alarm before going to sleep, but when he woke up at noon the next day, he did not remember the alarm clock had gone off.
He took his phone and looked at the alarm clock. In his depression, he gave History of Death a full-mark review before he got out of bed and went downstairs to look for Wei Chang Feng.
But when he went downstairs, he found that Chen Shan and Gary had come.
Chen Shan reproachfully looked at Qi Le An with disappointment in his eyes.
Qi Le An said, “Chen Ge, I’m sorry that I overslept.”
Gary remained aloof and continued his discussion with Wei Chang Feng. “The final edited version of Coffin is ready and the director likes to invite you to take a look.”
Wei Chang Feng said to Qi Le An, “You are awake? There’s food on the table. Eat something first.”
Then he answered Gary, “Okay.”
Gary nodded and asked, “Then I schedule the appointment at weekend?”
Qi Le An listened to their conversation as he walked to the kitchen. He saw a plate of char siu buns and a glass of milk on the dining table. The breakfast was still warm. He wondered how Wei Chang Feng did it.
Qi Le An grabbed a char siu bun and stuffed it into his mouth. Wei Chang Feng said, “Weekdays would be better.”
‘The two of us hang out at weekend, and we don’t have time to watch the movie.’
Qi Le An thought as he ate the char siu bun.
Gary wrote down the date and discussed another thing with Wei Chang Feng. Chen Shan was bored with their conversation and he walked to the dining table, elbowing Qi Le An. “Teacher Luo called me this morning.”
Qi Le An was startled. His appetite for the soft bun was gone. What should he do?
He took a sip of milk and swallowed the food in his mouth, saying worriedly, “What did you say? What shall I do?”
Chen Shan snorted coldly. “Now you are scared. Why didn’t you think about it when you slept in the morning?”
Qi Le An looked at Chen Shan pitifully “What did Teacher Luo say?”
Chen Shan said, “He asked why you didn’t come. I said you have a fever and take a day off.”
This was the first time Qi Le An had lied about his absence for trivial things, and he felt complicated. He quickly finished the breakfast prepared by Wei Chang Feng. Chen Shan looked at the two people talking in the living room and whispered to Qi Le An, “Guang Yao is going to have a shareholder meeting the day after tomorrow.”
Qi Le An blinked. He didn’t forget who had stopped the shooting of Blue.
“How is it?” asked Qi Le An as they got together.
Chen Shan snorted and said, “Jiang Shan got a dose of his own medicine… Do you know that he has invested in microfilms?”
Qi Le An did not know, so he shook his head.
Chen Shan said, “Isn’t micro films popular now? Jiang Shan had invested in several microfilms in the name of Guang Yao half a year ago… However, the cash flow is obscure. The series of movies had taken advantage of loopholes, and they have been scrutinized after the document was issued.”
Qi Le An was dumbfounded. “He isn’t so stupid, is he?”
Chen Shan sneered. “He’s stupid. In addition, someone is not happy about his cooperation with Poised Deer and exposed this matter. Now Jiang Shan can hardly cover his ass.”
Qi Le An sighed in his heart. “How about Blue?”
Chen Shan continued, “One of the projects that Jiang Shan is going to present at the shareholders meeting for the next year is microfilms. If he wants to continue with that, he has to settle this matter.”
‘To settle the matter is to solve the document, which means that Jiang Shan has to clean up the mess that he made?’ Qi Le An’s eyes lit up, and he said, “Won’t that happen soon?”
Chen Shan nodded with a relieved and complacent look. “Evil people were destined to be doomed.”
Qi Le An who received the good news was refreshed. He couldn’t wait to return to the warm crew and shoot with Wei Chang Feng.
In the living room, Wei Chang Feng and Gary seemed to have finished discussing their work arrangements. Wei Chang Feng shouted, “What are you talking about? What do you want to eat for lunch?”
Qi Le An quickly replied, “Nothing special. Why don’t we dine out?” Cooking was troublesome, and he didn’t want to exhaust Wei Chang Feng.
Chen Shan said cheekily, “Why are we dining out? We have a chef here. Wei Sama, the eggplant you made last time was really delicious! I went back to ask my chef to cook it a few times but he never made it.”
Qi Le An glanced at Chen Shan with disdain. ‘Does this guy come to scrounge a free meal?’
