A/N : hey everyone , it took me a while to get this chapter completed since I was struggling to find motivation to finish it and I also got a bit stuck with how I want this story to go . so there is probably gonna be slower updates until I figure out what I want the characters to react to. I think I forgot to say that this story begins after the war in marine-ford so I will be putting up some spoiler warning to let the readers who haven't got past that arc can know what to expect. I'm not gonna remove the hiatus until im confident with what I wanna do. so i hope you enjoy this chapter
previous chapter recap : the selected characters had just finished watching a memory of Garp begins his training on the three boys . they wait for the next memory to appear but in the meantime everyone is still wondering who is Goddess that sent them to wisteria?
The screen started to light up again to show luffy standing in front of a small boat
"oooooooo it's starting , starting!" said luffy bouncing in his seat with a massive smile on his face
"I wonder what this memory will be of" said shanks
"hopefully something interesting" said doflamingo
"we're here" shouted luffy as he started walking down the street with Coby following behind him
"hey luffy-san, please forget about getting him to join your crew" said Coby as he tried to keep up with luffy
"oh hey its me" said Coby
"you were so small back then Coby" said helmeppo
"I remember this!" luffy laughed as he munched on a piece of meat
"oi where did you get that from!!" sanji yelled at luffy
"never mind that sanji who do you think he's talking about? "said Nami
"don't worry it will be reviled soon Nami "said will as they turn their attention to the screen again
"I wonder if that Zoro guy is in that base" said luffy as the people jumped away from him in fear
"what the hell is all that about" said Kidd
"oh luffy is looking for his crew then" said sabo
"awesome we get to see how everyone come together then? "said chopper as he looked up at Luna who was next to him
"that's right "said Luna
"hmmm interesting we're gonna see how Roronoa becomes a pirate "said MIhawk as he took a sip of his wine
"I heard that captain Morgan is in command of this base" said Coby as he and luffy continued down the street the people yet again moved away from them in fear
"why the hell are they so scared of this captain Morgan guy? "said law earning a few shrugs
"that's strange... I can understand being afraid of zoro, but why would they be scared of a marine captain?" said Coby
"he's right why would people be scared marines " said brook
"this can't be good" said garp as sengoku just narrows his eyes and smoker just closes his eyes already knowing where this might go
The screen switches to luffy hanging over a large wall with Coby panicking from on the ground
"Hey, luffy-san!, what are you doing?!"shouted Coby frantically
"where's the demonic beast! "said luffy with his hand over his forehead looking around
"who you calling demonic! "shouted zoro while luffy just laughed loudly
"good luck trying to get luffy to listen to you" said usopp
"yeah it's like talking to a brick wall" said sanji
"yep "said ace with sweat running down his face while sabo just smiles
"look, it's him" said luffy as he spotted zoro being tied to a pole in the middle of a filed, Coby climbs up to join him looking terrified
"hey zoro , why were you tied up like that" asked chopper
"im sure the screen will tell you that chopper" said zoro
"if we untie him, he can escape" said luffy as he points at zoro
"D-Don't say such stupid things! what do you think would happen if we let him go, I'm sure he'll kill you luffy-san " shouted Coby
"no problem, im strong" said luffy
"your so confident luffy "said Luna with a giggle happy with her brothers confidence
"what's with this guy!!"Coby thought to himself
"hey you guys, your bothering me...... get lost! "said zoro as the two boys looked at him , Coby shook in fear as he moves closer to luffy
"damn Coby you need to work on not being scared" said garp as he bite into his rice cracker while Coby just blushes and rubs the back of his head knowing how far he has come since then
"Luffy-san, if you try to recruit him for your crew, it'll be the end of you!" said Coby as ladder appeared next to him , he looked to see a little girl climbing it
"Shhhh "said the little girl as she looked left and right and then used a rope to get down the other side
"what's this little girl doing in a marine base" asked sengoku
"That's dangerous! Luffy-san, please stop her! She'll be killed!" said Coby as the little girl ran towards zoro with something in her hands
"wow that kid's got guts" said whitebeard
"What!" said zoro as the girl stood in front of him
"Aren't you hungry? I made you some onigiri." said the little girl
"this little girl is so cute "said will making sanji swoon but not just him , multiple men in the room had eyes on her
"how nice of her to bring you food Mr zoro" said taila as zoro blushed in embarrassment
" you're gonna be killed shortly. Go away." said zoro
"You haven't eaten anything though. Here! This is my first time... but i made it with my heart" said the little girl as she held up the open package of food in her hands, zoro looked at her shocked
"how nice of her "Said koala
"I'm not hungry. You're annoying! Hurry up and go home." said zoro eagerly trying to get her to leave safely
"oi she brought you food moss head the least you could do is except it" said sanji
"shut up , you pervert cook" said zoro as the two glared at each other
"oi don't start you too" said Nami as she raised her fist
"now nami.."said luna trying to calm said woman down
"But..."said the girl
"I don't want any. Don't make me hurt you!" said zoro as the gates opened to his right
"You shouldn't be bullying kids" said a blonde man as he walked in with two marines
"see now you know why I was telling her to leave "said zoro as everyone realised that the little girl could be in danger
" looks like you're still energetic, Roronoa zoro. Said the blonde man
"And another weird guys appears." said luffy as he and Coby watched from the side-lines
"hahaha luffy your so blunt "said Luna laughing as luffy joined her , the twins father in the back smiling at his children
"Thank goodness. They're marines so I'm sure that girl will be fine now." said Coby as he sighed in relief
"yeah i don't think so" said shanks while Benn nodded his head in agreement
" Hey that onigiri look pretty good. "said helmeppo as he took one from the girl
" No! "said the girl as he took a bite of the onigiri
"Nasty! "shouted helmeppo as his eyes widened in disgust "It's full of sugar! Onigiri needs salt! Salt!"
"hey at least she tried , its the thought that counts" said sanji as he glared at the screen
But I thought it would taste better sweet. "said the girl
"Take that!" but helmeppo kicked the remaining onigiri out of the little girl's hand and stomped on it
"how rude! "said robin as the other girls agreed with her
"how can he treat a child like that "Said Nami while will and Luna nod in agreement
"Stop! Stop!" yelled the little girl as she fell to her knees at the sight she was seeing
"look at him wasting food , what a jerk "said sanji
"i would of eaten that instead, i bet it would of tasted yummy" said luffy
"of course you would "said usopp
"What a horrible thing....." said Coby as he and luffy continued to watch this happen , Helmeppo continues to squish the onigiri which brings tears to the little girl's eyes
"I tried to make it with all my heart "said the little girl
"You haven't read this poster" said Helmeppo as he held up the poster for her to see "Anyone who helps this criminal will be executed. Marine captain Morgan. brat , you know who my father is right." said Helmeppo as the girl look scared
"you was such a little brat back then huh helmeppo! "said garp as he side eyed the blonde boy who was sweating in fear
"they would execute a little girl" said Nami
"that is SUPER uncool "said Franky while doing his signature pose
"Father? "said luffy
"Then he is Captain Morgan's son?" said Coby
"Hey, toss this brat out. I'm telling you to toss her outside! Are you disobeying my order! I'll tell my father "said Helmeppo as the marine looked at him in shock as he is grabbed by his shirt collar
"now that's way too far" said sabo
"Yes right away!" said the marine as Helmeppo let him go and he turns to the little girl and grabs her
"No...." she said as she turns her head away from him
"that is so cruel" said taila as she turned to glare that the blonde man who notices the princess glaring at him and looks away from her icy glare
"little girl, I'm sorry for having to hurt you." said the marine which shocks her , she barely had time to react as she was thrown over the high wall , luffy uses his devil fruit to grab her before she hits the ground , luffy falls to the ground with her stopping her from getting hurt
"at least he apologised but that doesn't mean that she should forgive him" said chopper
"thank god luffy saved her" said ace as he patted luffy's head making him smile
"Thank you" said the little girl as she looks up at Luffy
"Are you okay Luffy-san! Are you hurt anywhere? What a horrible guy. Does it hurt anywhere? " said Coby as he got down from the wall and ran towards them and crouches down in front of the girl and checks her over for any injuries
"You Bastard" said Zoro as he glared up at Helmeppo which made him laugh
"It seems like you're pretty stubborn, being alive still." said Helmeppo
"this kid is getting on my nerves "said crocodile
"we need to check the marines in the east blue" said sengoku as he looked at garp who was still eating his crackers making him sigh
"Yeah , i will live through the entire month." said zoro
"Well, do your best. " said Helmeppo as he walked away with the two marines
"10 more days left." said Zoro
"Only if you live that long." said Helmeppo as he continued walking not even sparing Zoro a glance
"what a jerk " said Luna which caused helmeppo to sulk
The screen switches back to Luffy ,Coby and the little girl behind the wall
" How could he do such a horrible thing? Luffy-san!" said Coby as he looked behind him only to see Luffy gone which made him panic "not here!"
"and he is gone "said sanji
"once you take your eyes off luffy , he just disappears before you can blink "said robin while the rest of the crew nods their heads too
Zoro looks up and sees Luffy in front of him again
"So you're a bad guy?" asked Luffy
"You're still here" Said Zoro
"Being publicly humiliated ..... Are you really strong?" said Luffy
" mind your own business! "said Zoro
Luffy walks closer to Zoro " I would have escaped within 3 days." said Luffy as he placed his hand on his head
"I'm different from you. I will survive to show them. Definitely " said Zoro
"Hey what a stubborn guy" said Luffy as he turned to walk away
"Wait , could you pick that up for me?" said Zoro as Luffy turned and picked up the squashed food up
"huh your gonna eat that off the ground!" said Brook
" you're gonna eat this? It's mostly a mud ball now." Luffy asked Zoro as he started at the piece of food
"I'm surprised you haven't eaten it yet luffy" said Ace
"Just shut up and give it here!" Zoro shouted , Luffy stood up and fed the dirty food to him
" told you so" said luffy as he watched Zoro cough
"It was good, thanks for the food " said Zoro and Luffy just stood there with a smile
A little skip forward
"You again? You sure have lots of free time." said zoro as luffy stood before him again
"I'll untie you, so join my crew!" said Luffy
"Say what?!" said zoro
"I'm looking for people to join my pirate crew! "Said luffy
"Forget it! me , stooping to a criminals level?! screw that! "said Zoro
"What's wrong with being a pirate?!"Said Luffy
"everything" said all the marines in the room causing all the pirates to glare that them
"Pirates are despicable as if I want to be one!" Said Zoro
"you're saying that but you still became a pirate" said smoker
"Oh come on! You're already known as an evil bounty hunter!" said Luffy
"People can say whatever they want, but I ain't done anything I regret , I will live through this and accomplish what I want. "Said zoro
"he's got a strong resolve" said MIhawk
"Yeah ! but I've decided you're gonna join me! "said Luffy
"Quit deciding on your own" yelled Zoro
"just give up zoro , he's not gonna change is mind "said Luna
"that's luffy for ya , very stubborn indeed" said sabo with a smile
"you can say that again" said sanji as the rest of the straw hats remembered how they were asked to join luffy's crew
"I hear you use swords" said Luffy
"Yeah. but that stupid son took my stuff....."said zoro
"--I'll go get it back for you! "said luffy
"--what?!"said Zoro
"So if you want your sword, join my crew!" said luffy as he completely ignored Zoro and left to go find his swords
"You're really getting on my nerves!.... Is he planning to bust into base by himself?!" said Zoro as he watched the boy run off "you idiot! The base is in the other direction! "as luffy stopped running and turned around
"wow zoro giving directions to someone else who could have thought "said Nami
"shut up you witch" said zoro
"HEY I AM NOT A WITCH!-
"YEAH DON'T CALL NAMI -SWANN A WICTH YOU STUPID SWORDSMAN!-
"STUPID SWORDSMAN....SHUT UP YOU CURLY BROW-
"now now guys calm down , your missing the rest of the memory "said will
"wow you guys are hilarious" said Luna as she laughed
"that's my crew for you "said luffy as zoro and sanji started to fight while everyone looked shocked that the straw-hats antics
while usopp and chopper cheer the boys on and Nami is being calmed down by taila and robin
"Gum-Gum Rocket!" shouted luffy as he sling-shot himself into the building shocking zoro
"W-who the hell is that guy?!"said zoro as he looked in the direction of the straw-hat wearing boy
"they do know they are missing the memories right "said Kidd
"yeah if I were you I wouldn't get involved "said Law
"wow luffy you have a lively bunch for your crew "said Shanks
"yeah"said Luffy as he laughed
