I must be special or something, because why is Adriana asleep next to me? She broke her own rules for me. Why though? I twirl a strand of her hair between my fingers as she lays on my chest. She looks so peaceful sleeping, I almost wanna wake her up.
"So beautiful," I said softly. Adriana is a literal angel. Over these four short months, I've grown to really like her. I care about her. I found her jealousy cute, the way she laughs is contagious, her sense of humor— Damn she was right. I may be falling for her. It was bound to happen I'm sure, she's great when she lets her walls down.
"Adri," I said softly shaking her shoulder.
"Hm? What time is it?"
"Almost eleven." She sat up, rubbing her eyes then crawled on top of me.
"Quickie before I leave?" she asked wrapping her arms around my neck. Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
"Lemme check who that is real quick," I sighed grabbing my phone.
"Who is it?" Adri questioned.
"It's Venus," I said absent mindlessly. Fuck.
"Your ex?" I couldn't answer her. I couldn't even take my eyes off the screen. I heard Adri groan as she got off of me.
"I'm sorry—"
"It's fine, I have to get going anyways," she said getting dressed quickly.
"Adri—"
"I'm sure she needs you." With that Adriana leaves. What the fuck is my luck?
