The next day...
Liyah-
After I had got out the shower I went to check my phone only to see a missed call from a unknown number, I furrowed my eyebrows before calling back and putting it on speaker while I finished getting dressed
"Hey baby girl what you up too ?" My daddy asked
"Nothing I just got back from getting breakfast with everybody not too long ago what about you ?" I asked
"I already talked to Ary, but I'm coming by to get y'all for a few hours, we never really got the chance to just sit down and talk about everything, and I know y'all are just as confused like everyone else." He said
"Ok, you good though ?" I asked
"Why wouldn't I be ?"
"I mean, I know you and ma been going through it especially with this Zay situation." I said
"As long as he's not hurting or disrespecting my kids I don't really care what they got going on. I'm just focused on getting my shit back together." He chuckled and I laughed with him
"Well ok I'll see you when you get here." I said before eventually hanging up
I got dressed in something simple before brushing my hair into a ponytail, my texture was curly, but I had heat damage and I was planning on cutting off a few inches.
After a while we heard a knock on the door, and I went to get it but my man had got it instead
He came inside, and me and Ary came downstairs
"Before y'all go can we talk for a second?" Mg ma asked and I looked at Ary
He cleared his throat before following her to the kitchen and Nd and Ary just went ahead and went to his car
"So why do you really wanna transfer schools ?" Ary asked
"I just do." I shrugged and she sighed
"We don't always have to be in the same area Ary, Charlotte is for you, Houston is for me." I says and she nodded
Kash-
"Before I get to pissing you off, just wanted to apologize for how I first reacted when you came." She said and I rolled my eyes
"I basically started off that vibe because instead of welcoming you I pushed you away and that wasn't right, this is your family too, and even though you had plans it wasn't my place to do that." She said and I nodded
"But.." she started and I sighed before leaning against the island
"What you did that night was fucked up, it wasn't you taking London that bothered me, it was the fact that you had her out for hours and you didn't bother to call or text. I know with Liyah and Ary you would have them till whenever and it Goulding be a problem, but I've been doing things differently with London because I don't want her to experience the shot that Liyah and Ary experienced.." she said
"So it's not just you that I tell 9:00 too, it's Ary, Brian, she's usually upstairs getting ready for bed at that time unless she's spending the night somewhere, so her being out that late and me not knowing where was just new to me and that was why I wanted to do joint Custody, because if she's with you, she's just with you." She said and I rolled my eyes
"How many times do I have to say that I'm not doing that shit." I said
"Well then you have to be respectful and considerate, you want her for a few hours ? Call and ask instead of popping up, if you want her to stay with you ? Communicate, just like I would do the same with you. Liyah and Ary is different because they're grown and they have say so on if they want to go with you or not, but not my baby." She said and I nodded before sighing loudly
"Ight Kay." I said before looking at her
"I don't wanna do this arguing shit everyday, we grown, and if we're gonna co parent we can at least tolerate each other." She said as I continued to stare her down eventually throwing her off guard
"What ?" She asked and I licked over my bottom lip causing her to roll her eyes
"And this is where you exit." She gently smiled
"And that's cool, you know where home is though." Is said and she sighed at me before opening the door
"Home is where I'm at, but Be careful." She stated and I raised my eyebrows before I lightly chuckled And went to the car

Liyah swung the golf club nodding the ball and she looked back at us in embarrassment before we busted out laughing
"That's not funny." She said before getting ready to try again but this time she hit it at a good distance.
We had went to top golf, and so far I was whooping both of they asses.
I went for my turn, and I ended up hitting my ball into a better distance causing them both to smack their teeth's
"How?" Ary asked
"Stuff like this was all I had to do on my downtime, maybe not this exactly, but similar lil rec games." I chuckled
"Speaking of, can we have that conversation yet ?" Liyah asked and I nodded since the game was getting ready to end anyways
We all had got a booth and after a while I finally spoke
"So Ary, my reaction towards the situation with Mikes part of the reason why I got locked up right ?" I asked and she slowly nodded
"Of course I had some out charges, but those three years basically covered them, it was just the assault charge that was causing the extra time." I said
"Angel worked hard, and eventually she got Mike to step up and take my charge time, he came to confession about everything revealing that I 'didn't fully assault' him and it was a altercation between the two of us." I said and she furrowed her eyebrows
"So they just let you go?" Liyah asked and I shook my head
"I had a bond too, Angel took care of it."
"I have to use the bathroom." Ary said before clearing her throat and walking off
"Angel ?" Liyah asked
"Uh un Not now." I said
"I'm sorry I just have so many questions.." she said before resting her head on her hand
"So is the dropping the soap saying true ?" She asked and I rubbed my head

"Oh is this the Angel chick house ?" Liyah asked
"I'm just running in real quick." I said and she opened the door too causing me to sigh and then the car off
"You might as well come too." I told Ary But she continued to lay her head against the window with her airpods in
"What's wrong ?" I asked
"Nothing, I don't feel good but just go ahead." She said and I nodded
"I'll be quick." I told her before rolling the windows down.
Once I walked inside angel gane around the corner before coming up to peck my lips
"Ary?" She asked
"Nah Brooklyn." She replied
"Aaliyah.." she instantly guessed before looking at me and offering her hand out
Liyah slowly shook it before she turned around and I looked at her
"Be nice." I mouthed and she she smiled before following angel
"What you doing today ?" Angel asked
"After I drop them back off, Ima go do some work at the club." I said and she she gave me a look
"What?" I asked
"Nothing."
"Nah what ?" I chuckled
"Just I thought we were going together to discuss someone's position.." she said and I sighed before looking at Liyah
"On second thought can you wait in the car baby ?" I asked Liyah and she raised her eyebrows
"I'm grown, I can handle whatever is about to be said." She said and I smacked my teeth
"You couldn't wait to say that." I mumbled
"But angel the only two positions that I have is Zay's and Kayonna's, You don't know promotion, and kay isn't gonna go for
"Right, two people that betrayed you." She mumbled
"Um... bitch ?" Liyah asked and I looked at her
"Aye watch yo mouth." I told her and she raised her eyebrows before getting up
"She's weird." She pointed
"How ? because she's not Kay" I asked and she crossed her arms
"I understand y'all gon go hard behind y'all's mother, so that at all cost, but just like y'all respect Zay, respect angel... Y'all letting Kay be happy, well let me be happy too. It isn't fair to neither of us." I said and she sighed
"Ight my bad." She said before leaving out and I sighed before rubbing my head
"See I ain't even do nothing to them, she's just putting shit into they heads." Angel said and I nodded
"Ima fix it, just let it go." I told her before kissing her cheek.
"How about... you I put you over the bottle dancers and strippers ?" I asked and she looked at me
"That's too low kash." She said
"Just for now, until I figure out something else ight ?" I asked and she sighed before nodding
After a while I went back to the car and Aaliyah had her head rested on her hand
"What ?" I asked and she didn't say anything causing me to sigh
"What's yo problem wit her ?" I asked and she looked at me
"She's not the problem it's you." She said causing me to mug her
"Is this shit even about angel ?" I asked and she rolled her eyes
"What Aaliyah ?" I asked again getting irritated and she shook her head
"Can I just go home.." she asked but I continued to look
"Please." She asked again with a crack in her voice
Finally I started the car back up before pulling out and heading back.

"Nigga where you been?" Brian asked
"I had to drop the girls back off and run back to get angel." I said while we walked inside the empty club and Brian handed me s folder
"Ight so Kay coming in to put in last minute orders, Zay already got you straight on a performer tonight... and what is she doing here..?" Brian asked and angel looked at me
"I mean not like that, it's good to see you but you know Kay pulling up in a few minutes right ?" He asked and I smacked my teeth before reading over the folder he had in his hand
"Who the hell is Grec?" I asked looking at the performer that he had.
"He actually cold as fuck, him and his girl travel for performances and I'm surprised Zay booked him in a short ass notice." Brian said and I nodded
"We turning up for yo dumb ass tonight." Brian said before sapping me up
After a while Kay walked in with Ari by her side and she slightly looked at angel before giving her a slight smile and walking straight passed us. Ari on the hand mugged the fuck out of her before following Kay and I rolled my eyes
"The dancers and shit in the back yet ?" I asked Brian and he nodded
"Come on." I told angel before leading her downstairs where they was and I saw a gay looking nigga running the area
"Well if it isn't big Debo, when they let yo ass out of jail?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows
"Who are you and What you doing back here?" I asked
"Berry, I run this area... I keep the women fine and ready to shake ass in time ain't that right ?" He asked and I scratched my head
"Hell yea !"
"Ight well angel, Berry, Berry your partner, see you in a lil bit bae." I told her and she smacked her teeth
"Keshawn !" She slightly yelled as I walked out before sighing
Liyah-
"Hoe what is wrong with you ?" I asked Ary
"I just ate something bad at Shawn's, plus I'm getting ready to start my period and I'm cramping." She said while holding her stomach and leaning to the side
"You good ?" I asked and she didn't say anything
"I'm ok." She finally said
"Ima just go take a nap." She added before getting up and going upstairs
I sighed before laying down on the couch and not even five minutes after I heard a knock at the door causing me to smack my teeth before getting up to open it to Malik
"My bad I forgot my computer in the guest room." He said and I stepped aside allowing him to walk in.
I went straight back to the couch and as he as walking back out he stopped
"You good..?"
"No." I said as my voice muffled into the couch
I heard him chuckled before walking over and speaking
"Well can you help me with something ?" He asked
"No." I repeated causing him to smacked my teeth
"Please?"
"No."
"Damn well who who kissed in to Cheerios?" He asked before sitting down and I turned around before sighing
"Well I have a college project, basically it's about me having to branch out and to look in a pov of someone else's life. We go places, I'll get the meaning behind them, and afterwards I have to write a fat ass essay on what life lesson I learned from yours." He explained
"No."
"Come on Liyah." He sighed and I sat up
"Mmm what's in it for me ?" I asked
"Um, a venting session.." he trailed and I stood up
"Deal." I cheesed before walking off.

"Wait so kash and your ma never got married ?" Malik asked and I shook my head
"No, I mean he treated her so foul once he went to jail, so I understand, but like..," I said
"So do you have mixed emotions about the Zay Dude ?" He asked and I shook my head
"Zay's cool, He makes my ma happy and I'm all for that." I said
"So then why isn't it the same emotions towards yo pap'sgirl ?" He asked and I looked away
"I understand it's different, but you gotta want the same for the both of them, he deserves to be happy just as much as Kay." Malik explained and I nodded before sighing
"It's just I'm starting to realize so much... he really did out my ma through a lot Malik, and like I know he feels some type of way about her and Zay because of the bond that they already had, but even if it was someone that he didn't know he still would've treated the situation the exact same way because he's selfish." I said
"I think you should have a one on one with him, help him understand yo trauma, because think about it, his trauma was probably normal for him." He said and I sighed
"But back to the project, who's house are parked in front of...?" He asked and I looked up
"Um, this is where it started, I met someone and we hung out a kickback here, he ended up performing and I got involved into a cross fire... he damn near saved my life Just to fuck it up in the end." I started as he continued to type. After a while he furrowed his eyebrows before looking at me
"What you mean by fuck it up at the end?" He asked and I shook my head
"How much is this project worth ?" I asked
"A exam score." Ha chuckled and I raised my eyebrows
"Well damn." I mumbled
Ary-
I woke up to a few missed calls and I groaned before turning over.
I was coming down with a foul ass cold, and I didn't have the time at all to get sick
I called everyone back before lastly FaceTiming Shawn and he answered with a straight face before furrowing his eyebrows
"What's wrong ?" He instantly asked
"I don't feel good." I mumbled before sniffing
"What you feeling like ?" He asked
"My head is just stuffy, I keep sneezing, and my stomach hurts so bad." I sighed
"You need me to bring you anything ?" He asked and I shook my head
"Well I'm coming anyways ." He said and I smacked my teeth
"I don't want to get you sick."
"I don't even care, you know we locked in this shit together now." He said and I slightly smiled
"My room is a mess, and I look a mess." I said and he smacked his teeth
"Ima be there by thirty." He told me before hanging up and I sighed before turning over.
My body was hot at one moment, and cold the next. It was currently so cold so I got up and walked downstairs to look for a blanket and my ma was at the kitchen island going over some papers
"I thought you was going with Ari to Daddy's opening night ?" I asked and she shook her head
"Ima let him have fun, plus I really just needed this time to myself." She said and I rolled my eyes
"What ?" She asked
"Ma don't feel guilty for making the decision you made, I just went you to know that me and Liyah get it, and we're happy if you're happy." I said
"I know it isn't that, I just kind of feel that it's best for me to keep my distance if it isn't for something with y'all." She said
"Ma go have fun." I lightly chuckled and she gave me a look
"I'm serious, you deserve a night from time to time... go get ready and have fun.. London's already asleep and I'll be home all night so." I waved and she slightly smiled before getting up to hug me
"I'll go for a couple of hours but I'm not really in the mood to get white girl wasted tonight." She said before going upstairs and I shook my head before going into the laundry room to get another blanket.
In the process a book fell down on my head and I sighed before bending down to pick it up. I looked at the open page instantly looking at a picture with my ma and daddy in high school, we were literally a lighter version of her.
I continued flipping until I stopped at a page with me, Liyah, and uncle Brian. He was holding the both of us while we were crying and he had a straight face on in the picture causing me to laugh
I continued flipping through the book until the doorbell rang and I took the book with me and I opened the door to Shawn.
He pulled me into a long hug before kissing the top of my head and walking in
"Who is that.?" My ma asked before slightly coming out
"Heyyy mama." Shawn spoke and she lightly laughed
"Hey baby."
I noticed the grocery bag in his hand once we had got to my room so he put it on my bed before going through it.
"So my granny told me to pick up "NyQuil, it'll knock you out but it helps, I got ginger ale, and Powerades... I got you snacks and me candy even though you gon eat my shit up anyways... so Us candy." He said before laughing and I smacked my teeth before shaking my head
"Thank youu" I told him before giving him another hug and crawling right back into bed. He got in with me causing me to snuggle up under him.
"It's so cold." I mumbled
"You want me to close the vent ?" He asked and I shook my head
"Then watch Ima get back hot." I told him while he continued looking for something watch.
I took the medicine that he had bought and not even thirty minutes after I was out.

Kay-
I walked in the club and straight to the back to see everyone sitting down. Brian, Ari, Zay, Kash, and Angel.
"Girl you told me you wasn't coming.." Ari said before getting up to hug me
"I'm only staying for a couple of hours." I told her while hugging back and sitting next to Zay
"Um ima go in the back and make sure everything's good with the dancers , they were suppose to come out about ten minutes ago." Angel said before getting up and leaving
"You put her over the strippers ? " I chuckled and he smacked his teeth
"Wait why'd you move Berryy?" I slightly pouted
"I didn't, his big fruity ass still back there." Kash ssid
"Why you only staying for a couple of hours ?" Zay asked
"I'm just not feeling it tonight." I said and he nodded
"Ima leave when you out then."
I had just enough drinks only to loosen up while everyone continued to talk and vibe. I took a few videos with the hookah while I watched the strippers do they thing from a distance
After a while everyone else was turnt, angel was dancing on kash, brian and Ari were around somewhere, which left me and Zay and he was also busy trying to make sure he kept everything on his end situated as always my
"Mid phone call I took it before hanging up and he looked at me
"Have fun, everything's gonna be good." I told him before pulling him up and he shook his head before following towards the floor.

"You good enough to drive ?" Zay asked and I smacked my teeth
"I'm straight surprisingly" I chuckled he shook his head .
Just as I was getting ready to leave, one of the strippers stepped in front of me
"Kay ?" She adjectives and I furrowed my eyebrows
"Nah" I mumbled and she looked at her friend
Surprisingly, her fist went straight across my face and out of retaliation I instantly swung back causing her friend to hit me next. Not even minutes afterwards a bunch of them were on my ass catching me off guard. From the corner of my eye I saw angel leaning against the door way with her arms crossed and I got my ads right the fuck up and continued to try and hold my ground but I couldn't. It was like eight of them against my little ass. After a while everyone out the club started gathering and the bouncers ran over to break it up once they noticed what was going on.
Zay also ran out before attempting to help and he yanked me out the crowd before looking at me
Kash, Brian, and Ari ran out behind him noticing the crowd and I moved out of Zay's grip before walking towards angel and without hesitation I swung at her hard as fuck.
"Bitch!" I yelled before yanking her out the corner and to the ground causing everyone to shift over to us. I guess Ari picked up on what happened so had already ran over before also putting work in on her.
Zay immediately picked me up as I fought to get get back on her ass, and both kash and Brian had to pick up Ari
"Ayo what the fuck is yo problem ?!" Kash yelled before helping angel up
"On god she set me up, I just got jumped by eight big bitches." I said back and he looked at angel
"She's delusional as fuck, I didn't have shit to do with that, she's just feeling some type of way because of how we was tonight, you're weird " she said
"Zay put me down because I'm done with hoe." I said before closing my eyes
"Do not put her down !" Kash and Brian both said at the same time
"Kay I thought you was better then this shit, what the fuck is wrong with you?." Kash asked and I smacked my teeth
"So you believe her?" I asked
"If she said she didn't have shit to do with it she didn't, stop thinking you know everything."he says and I nodded
" At this point if that's how you coming don't come back." He said and I raised my eyebrows
"Oh so let me guess you finna my position to angel ?" I asked and she smirked
"That shit was foul Kay-
"Nah it's all good." I nodded and Zay finally let me go before pulling me away
"You good?" He asked before examining my face
"Is it bad ?" I asked
"It's just a few marks, Ima follow you home." He said and I nodded

"What happened ?" Zay asked as I sat on the kitchen island
"I don't know, right when I was leaving one of the strippers said my name and the next minute it was like eight of them on my ass. I saw angel in the corner watching so I knew she has something to do with it " I said and he shook his head before cleaning off my phone
"If he fire you I'm leaving too." He said and I shook my head
"You don't have too, he made a stupid ass decision, that's all angel wanted from him." I said
"I don't care, if you gone I'm gone too" he said and we sat in silence
"We should start our own plan." He chuckled and I laughed with him
"Yea right."
"Nah I'm serious. You got the experience and so do I, I feel like we can come up with something real nice." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows
"Like what ?" I asked and he came over before leaning in between my legs
"Anything, hookah lounges, small club, a bar..." he said and I shrugged
"We'll see." I told him before looking at my face in my phone camera.
It wasn't fuck up, just a few marks and a slight bruise on my neck
"I still can't believe that shit happened." He said and I sighed before getting down
"I'll be okay, I grew up beating bitches so I guess that was my karma."I laughed
"Can you stay ?" I asked and he nodded.

Ary-
The next morning..
"Ary"
"Ary." I heard and I woke up to Shawn in my face
"Aye Get up I'm taking you to the doctor." He said and I turned over
"I'm good."
"You burning up, and yo temp is over 100." He said and I sighed
"Not today." I mumbled and he sighed
"Come on or I'm calling Kay." He said and I smacked my teeth before sitting up
"I'm good I'm not going back in that doctors office you know how I feel about that." I said with w attitude and he smacked his teeth
"Let's go I'm not even playing." He told me and I sighed before getting up irritated.

"Have you been feeling nauseated or anything ?" My doctor asked and I shook my head
"Just tired." I shrugged and she nodded
"Well, it just looks like a common cold, it is flu season so I'm gonna run a test for that just to make sure." She said and I nodded before she left the room again
Shawn started going through the cabinets out of boredom and I smacked my teeth
"Bit if you don't get out them white people's shit." I mumbled and he waved me off before pulling out a pair of gloves
"Open." He told me before placing his fingers on my lip so I bit it
He jumped back causing me to bust out laughing and he tried again this time opening my my mouth wide and looking like he knew what he was doing
"What you see Da'shawn?" I chuckled
"Nut."He replied before busting out in laughter so I bit his finger harder
"Play too much." I told him and he shook his head before pulling me into a hug
"If you got the flu I got that shit too." He chuckled
"I told you to stay away." I said
"You know damn well you didn't want me to stay away." He laughed
After a while she came back with a few papers in her hand
"Alright so the test for the flu was negative, so it really is just a common cold that will pass in a few days. I'm prescribing you to some meds that you can pick up on the way home. These papers are for you being on bed rest, relax as much as possible, and get plenty of rest." She told me and I nodded
"See, nothing." I told him and he nodded
"Just get better hardheaded." He told me
