Jimin stares up at the skyscraper. he blinked his eyes as the bright raise of the sun make it hard to read the name but the large size of the letters made it less hard so he read it under his breath "Kim J" what an odd name he thought in his head and stepped in the building
Clenching the file closer to his chest jimin went to the reception table he fixed his glasses as he spoke "I came here for the interview" the girl was fully dressed in a black shirt and skirt "your name sir?" She asked as her red glossy lips popped with every word
"Park jimin" he replied and she looked down typing something on her laptop "you came earlier you still have half an hour, sir is in a meeting and then he'll take your interview" she looked up from her laptop while she explained with a warm smile "ohh it's fine I can wait" he replied
"You can sit there" she pointed at the waiting area he nods his head and sat down there examining the building with his head spinning around it was a huge building with modern interior design his phone suddenly rings he checked the caller's id and smiled putting it on his ear
"Yes yes!! guess what hyung?" He heard jungkook's excited voice "hmm...you definitely didn't get a job" jimin joked it was obvious from the younger's voice he got it "no, hyung I got it I can't believe it" he replied the happiness was dripping from his voice
"I knew it, you were getting nervous for no reason" jimin felt happy but his insecurity rises more, he doesn't have a degree and good qualifications like jungkook but still he's here in Seoul's biggest company for an interview for the sake of his family
"What about your interview hyung?" Jungkook asked in concern "I still have half an hour left I came earlier" he sheepishly smiled "okay then we can talk while I walk home so you don't get bored waiting" jungkook suggested and jimin agreed with him and they talked for half an hour and jimin cuts the call when the receptionist announced his name
Jimin's pov
I quickly jogged to the reception and she handed me the entry card for the interview and gave the direction to the office In which I'll give the interview, I went into the elevator pressing the 21-floor button I waited as the elevator went above I hate elevators I felt suffocated in them
Finally, the door opened and I stepped outside of the elevator the whole floor was dark themed and it looked more luxurious than the ground floor, I stood in the hallway staring at doors they all looked the same think jimin think what was the room number wait she never told me about it she only says 21st floor at the right side but there are at least 20 rooms
I sighed as I stormed my feet on the floor in annoyance. it's my job interview and I don't want to make any mistakes but because of that stupid receptionist I'm lost on this huge ass floor but what can I do now other than try to find the office, I inhaled a deep breath as I started walking in the search of the office there was a huge office in the last of the right side
Kim was written on the outside of the door, every door had a number on it except this one so according to my maths it would be this room she never told me the number and it doesn't have any number and it's on the right side too I knocked on the door without thinking further
After a few knocks, no one is responding, weird... maybe the boss is still in the meeting I should wait outside a bit more, I walked for ten minutes outside of the office, I think I should go in and check what if they already taking interviews and I got late and they didn't hear my knock I can't let this big opportunity slide off my hand
I stormed into the office in a panic, a man with jet black hair stared back at me with his cold eyes he looked a bit shocked but he quickly changed his expression "Ji... What are you doing here?" He stands up from his seat I'm screwed "i-i came here for a job interview" I bowed down in apology maybe he won't get mad
"I'm sorry sir" I apologized again when he didn't say anything and stood there staring at me he cleared his throat with slight shook of his head "what... interview?" he asked sitting back on his chair "umm for the personal assistant" I answered lowering my head, his piercing eyes makes me feel something unusual
"You came in the wrong room" he stated I glanced up at him and he was still staring at me, hell please look somewhere else "ohk sir" I bowed down again "you are not getting this job" he announced from behind I turned back at him "what sir?" I asked him maybe I heard it wrong "you are rejected" he simply said "But I didn't give an interview yet" it can't happen "your first impression is enough to judge you"
"I'm sorry sir but the receptionist didn't tell me the room number" I tried to defend myself "I don't have enough time for your explanation you can go now" he cruelly said "but at least give me a chance you can't just reject me without an interview" I pleaded
"Okay... Fine give me your file" he said breaking his long stare from me and now looking down at his laptop I handed him my file he went through it for a few seconds and then handed me back "you are not qualified enough for this job" he says crushing my heart
I feel so embarrassed by his statement I knew I wasn't qualified enough but hearing it out loud made it worst "I know sir but I will work hard and my degree won't be a bother I will do everything perfectly" I replied with full confidence hiding my emotions
"You are wasting my time" he coldly said not sparing a glance at me "I need this job so much please sir" I begged him but this cruel fucker didn't say anything "sir?" I called him when he pretends I didn't even exist like I wasn't even standing there begging him "out" is all he said I clenched my jaw and took my file and walked out of his office
I want to punch him so badly but I can't afford to fight with his rich ass, how can someone be so rude he can tell me we will call you if you get the job as everyone says and never call again I imitate the old interviewers as the passing by people stare at me like I'm a mad person
Their boss is a psycho idiot dumb bitch...
End of jimin's POV
Jimin's curses turned into sobs as tears started running down his face he continuously wiped them off and walked out of the building kicking its entrance door and showing middle finger from both of his hands to the high building
The person from the 21st floor watch the whole scene from his glass windows as he dialed a number on his phone in one ring the other person picked up the call "I need every information about a boy named Park Jimin and most importantly why he's trying to find a job?" He spoke in his deep velvety voice "okay sir" with that he hung up
He stand there and watched till the little boy disappear from his sight. Jimin sat at the bus stop swinging his legs and thinking about how his life completely changed in past one year. He was happy and fine with jungkook, jisoo, namjoon, and his mother till they found out about their mother getting a killing disease cancer
And everything fell apart his mother won't be able to go to her job regularly and her boss fired her because of that and the house the Palace which was too precious to him they had to leave it too, he decided to help his mother financially so he left his dance school to do the jobs but since her medicines and jungkook's school was so expensive they still struggle a lot
Jisoo and namjoon both try to help but they refused and jungkook who cries every night saying his studies are being a burden to them finally got to convince his hyung to do a part-time job himself while still continuing his studies and now on his first interview he got a job
And then there's jimin who graduated from high school and decided to leave a proper degree to attend a dance school which doesn't pay him a penny and after getting forced by jungkook, he decided to do a proper job and on every interview he got rejected because he's only high school graduate student and they have very highly qualified people in line for that job
And this job was pretty simple it didn't require that high education since it's an assistant job but that cruel CEO didn't even let him do a proper interview and rejected him beforehand. His life's a mess and the feeling of emptiness in his heart won't help either
He felt lonely even when he's with a group of people he still felt alone like something is missing, he tries to date people to make his heart feel less lonely but nothing works, he never felt attracted to anyone no one makes him feel the butterflies he wants to feel in his stomach, no one ever feels like home to him
He got off the bus and headed to his house with an empty heart and hatred for the person who made him feel so less today but he won't give up, he will do everything to make his family happy, he wiped his dry tears face and smiled brightly at jungkook who opened their small apartment's door for him.
