Aasha's Pov
"Aasha, what happened? Why are you crying? Tell me" Neha asked me.
"Wha… What are you preparing for breakfast?" i asked her.
"Please don't say its white sause pasta. Please don't say its white sause pasta" i prayed inside my heart.
"I am preparing white sause pasta" she said confused. I looked down, biting my lips to control my sob. Can't at least go one thing to wrong. Why everything has to happen according to my dream?
"Can't you make something else for breakfast? Why you're making this white sauce pasta? Why Neha?" i shouted at her while sobbing uncontrollably.
"Aasha what happened? Why you're behaving strangely? Don't you like white sause pasta?" she asked me looking worriedly at me.
"Did you called Dev?" i asked her hurriedly.
"No, why?" she asked me.
"Keep trying to call him. If he attended your call or if he called you then ask him to call me, okay? Ask his whereabouts and inform me immediately. Don't forget" saying this i ran out of the apartment and took a cab to his penthouse. I rang the bell door bell continuously. But no one opened the door. He told me about his pin number. So i punched the pin number and went insde.
"Devv…. Devv.. Where are you?" i called him, looking everywhere for him. But he is nowhere in sight. He must have went to the office. I ran out of his penthouse. I saw a cab I tried to stop. I ran towards the cab but it fled away. But suddenly a sharp stone on the road pierced my feet. So I fell on the road. I looked at my feet. Its bleeding. I couldn't able to stand. The pain is unbearable. I looked at the time in my phone. Its 9 am. Not caring about my pain i searched for another cab. Soon a cab came. I hop in that cab to the office.
After reaching the office i saw security guard outside the office building.
"Security uncle, Is Mr. Malhotra inside?" i asked him hurriedly while limping towards him.
"No madam. But sir came half an hour before with Mr. Mehra to get some files and then they both left fifteen minutes before" he said, checking his wrist watch.
"Did you know where he went?" i asked him.
"No madam. Is everything okay?" he said me looking at my state.
Where he is now? Did he went to airport? Wait! Daniel…he is Mr. Dev's driver, right? He must have know, where he is now. I called Daniel. He picked up my call after five minutes.
"Daniel, Do you know where Mr. Malhotra is?" i asked him impatiently while hopping in the cab which i came.
"Mam, i dropped Mr. Malhotra, Mr. Mehra at the airport a few minutes ago" he said.
"What? You dropped him at airport? Daniel, please do one thing. Just go and stop him. Don't let him go, please" i said while sobbing.
"Mam, is everything okay?" he asked me.
"Just do as i say. Go and stop him. I will be there in just ten minutes. Now go" i shouted at him. The cab driver looked at me like i am crazy. But who cares i want my Dev to be safe.
"Sir must be taking his boarding pass. I will look for him and halt him. Don't worry mam" he said.
"Okay, don't cut the call" i said, clutching the phone tightly.
"Go fast, please" i said to the driver. He nodded at me.
"Did you found him?" i asked Daniel.
"No mam. i am searching for him" he said. Soon i arrived at the airport. I payed the cab driver and ran into the airport.
"Daniel, i am also inside the airport" i said looking here and there.
"I saw you, mam. Wait i will come to you" he said and cut the call. Then i saw he ran towards me
"Did you found him?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"Then go search for him. Stop him" i yelled at him.
"Don't worry mam. I will try to stop him. You just stay here" he said in his firm voice and ran to somewhere.
I called Dev's phone but his phone is switched off. I am searching him everywhere like a mad girl with my bleeding leg. But didn't feel any pain. My eyes only searching for him. He should not go. I don't want to loss him too. I chanted this while searching him.
I wiped my tears furiously. Its making my vision blurry. What if i missed him because of my blurry vision. But my tears and my sobbing is not stopping. I started to feel dizzy. I shook my head to clear my dizziness. My phone buzzed in my hands. I looked at my phone. Its Ramesh. I attended the call immediately.
"Ramesh, Is Mr. Malhotra with you?" i asked him ith hope.
"Aasha, actually i am with Mr. Malhotra. We are waiting in the lounge. He is attending a video conference meeting" he said.
"I want to talk to him. Please pass the phone to him" i pleaded him.
"Okay" he said.
"Sir, Aasha wants to talk to you" i heard Ramesh's voice.
"Aashu?" i heard Dev's voice. A bright smile broke into my lips.
"Hello Aashu" he said.
"Dev, don't go, please" i sobbed tightening my hold on my phone. But i didn't heard any reply. With a frown i looked at my phone. My phone got switched off because of low battery. I looked at my phone with teary eyes without blinking.
"Why? Why? Ahhhh" i cried, falling on the ground.
I looked at the clock. Its 9.45. In just fifteen minutes the flight will be take off. No i should do something. I saw Daniel running towards me.
"Mam, what happened?" he asked me.
"I was about to talk to Dev but because of low battery my phone got switched" i said, hiccuping.
"Mam, look sir is here" he said. I looked at him with a frown. He smiled at me. He pointed his hand towards somewhere. I followed his direction. There he stood with Mr. Mehra and Ramesh.
Everything went silent around me. The only sound i heard is my own heart beat. I looked at him without blinking. He is standing few meters away from me. Tears welled up in my eyes. Suddenly i felt an immense pain in my foot , suddenly i felt hungry, suddenly i felt sleepy, suddenly i felt my whole body aching. I stood up from the floor. I limped towards him fastly not caring about the pain in my foot and hugged him tightly wrapping my hands arround his neck. I buried my face in the crook of his neck.
"Aashu look at me. What happened baby? Tell me, Aashu" he asked trying to pull me away from the hug. But i tightened my hold not wanting to let him go.
Dev Malhotra's Pov
The moment i saw her in front of me, i felt a pang in my heart. I stood rooted on my spot seeing her sobbing like a child.
"Dev, don't go, please"
When i heard her desperate voice in the call, i lost my sense. I completely lost myself when Ramesh informed me that she called him and asked him about me. Then i saw 200 missed calls from Aasha. There was also calls from Neha and Daniel. I cursed myself for putting my phone on silent.
I was busy in the video conference meeting. Thats why put my phone on silent. My heart hammered against my chest when Sameer said she called him also for 90 times. I understood that something is wrong. I tried her phone. But it said switched off. Suddenly i saw Daniel running towards.
"Sir, Aasha mam is looking for you" he said. After hearing his words, i didn't care about anything. Sameer called me but i didn't stop. He and Ramesh also followed me. There she is sitting on the floor wailing like a child. When she looked at me, she stopped crying. She looked at me without even blinking her eys. But tears flowed down her cheeks.
She limped towards me and hugged me tightly, wrapping her arms arround my neck. She sobbed loudly like a kid. I felt her hot tears on my neck. Seeing her like this even my eyes brimmed with tears. Her whole body is shaking because of her sobbing.
"Aashu look at me. What happened baby? Tell me, Aashu" i said, trying to pull her away from the hug. I frowned when she tightened the hug.
