By daybreak the next day, Wendy found herself in a large elegantly decorated room confused and disoriented before she remembered all the events of yesterday
"Oh right, Natsu-san and the other disappeared on Tenroujima," Wendy thought sadly as she cuddled Carla and Cubellious closer while her new owl slept on her perch near a large window that gave her an amazing view of the back garden
"Ah good your awake," a voice said making her look at the door to see her grandfather and grandmother who were both smiling happily at her
"Good morning dear" Euphemia greeted as she walked into the room and gave her a hug
"What happened yesterday? I don't remember falling asleep on a bed" Wendy asked as her grandparents sat on her bed careful not to wake Carla and Cubellious
"You fell asleep while healing Regulus, darling your uncle Ignotus carried you here, to your chambers" Euphemia answered smiling gently
"Is he alright now?" She asked curiously
"Yes, your aunt Morgana told us that his magical core has stabilized all he needs now is rest," Fleamont said making Wendy smile happily "Now shall we get breakfast?"
"I believe the house-elves have prepared quite the feast for us," her grandmother said holding out her hand for Wendy to take
"Ok," she said taking her grandmother's hand "Perhaps later we could buy you a whole wardrobe dear"
"Ooh you don't have to do that for me," Wendy said blushing
"Oh nonsense you are a daughter of the most ancient and noble houses of Black, Potter, Peverell, Emrys, and Le Fae," Fleamont said wanting an excuse to spoil his granddaughter "You can have anything you want within reason, perhaps we should bring her to Gringotts as well"
"Oh what a lovely idea," Euphemia said smiling before she turned to Wendy "Would you like that dear?"
"Um, what is Gringotts?" Wendy asked tilting her head
"Oh, forgive us, dear. Gringotts is the only bank of the wizarding world and is owned and operated by goblins. They also keep track of all those who are to inherit massive estates and noble titles. You are the heiress of several of the higher ranking houses in all of the British Isles and to an extent the whole world, it is important that they be aware of your return although we do not have to do that right away" Fleamont said worried that he was overwhelming his granddaughter
"Um, will Carla and Cubellious come with us too?" Wendy asked nervously
"Of course dear," he said smiling before Wendy saw Merlin, Morgana, and Ignotus sitting at the table making her smile
Meanwhile, in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Minerva McGonagall was deep in thought as she graded the latest Transfiguration essay from her second-year lions and the puffs. When suddenly Severus walked into her office holding up his communication Lacrima, what took professor McGonagall by surprise was the smile that the usually dour man wore
"She is home" was all he could say before Minerva was on her feet and taking the crystal from him only to see a picture of a young girl with the elegant and aristocratic features that all Blacks were famous for sleeping with her arms around what seemed to be a white cat-like creature and a large purple serpent
"Oh goodness she is truly home," she said in awe as tears started gathering in her eyes
"Lady Potter also said that we may meet her this summer along with seeing Regulus," Severus said his voice carrying so much hope, love, relief, and happiness that many would not believe that it was he who had spoken
"Oh wonderful finally some good news, now if only we could sack Lockhart and both Evans then this day would truly be perfect," Minerva said making Severus chuckle
At 10 am, Euphemia and Fleamont had started ensuring that their granddaughter was ready to venture out into Diagon Alley. As they would have liked to avoid any of Dumbledore's spies knowing that Wendy was in the country Merlin and Morgana cast the glamour on one of Euphemia's simpler necklaces, whenever Wendy wore it the glamour would activate making her look like a mini Morgana with Merlin's sapphire blue eyes and Ignotus' wavy chestnut brown hair, as well as casting an illusion charm on Carla, the charm would only allow those in their family to see Carla's true form while everyone else would see a pure white Kneazel, Cubellious merely shrunk and slithered into a pocket that the robe that Euphemia gave Wendy had over her left breast
"Hold on tightly dear," Fleamont said before he and his wife apparated to their destination
"Ah, lord and lady Potter good morning, and who is this lovely little lady?" Tom the owner of the Leaky Cauldron greeted
"Tom, this is my goddaughter Wendy Kuro she is currently visiting from Japan," Fleamont said before Wendy bowed in greeting
"It's very nice to meet you," she said before straightening her posture
"Polite young lass" Tom chuckled before Fleamont and Euphemia guided Wendy over to Gringotts but much to their growing displeasure one of Dumbledore's spies were following them
"Wendy dear do you see that pink-haired witch?" Euphemia asked before Wendy discreetly looked at who her grandmother was talking about "Do not talk to her she is a spy for the individual who tried to place you with horrible people"
"Yes grandma," Wendy said as she hugged Carla closer
"Your grandmother is correct Wendy she smells of deception, greed, and smugness" Cubellious hissed out as they walked towards an imposing snow-white multistoried marble building located partway down Diagon Alley, near its intersection with Knockturn Alley, that towered over the neighboring shops.
"Wow," Wendy said in awe
"I've never seen such an impressive and unique building" Carla whispered just as they approached a goblin
"Ah Lord Potter how may Gringotts aid you today?" the goblin in front of them asked
"I would like my heiress to know all her holdings Griphook" Fleamont tapped onto the Goblin's hand before looking at Wendy
"Ah yes right this way," the goblin said before leading the family towards the most heavily warded room in the bank
"These runes are amazing," Wendy said in awe as they entered the room
"Griphook I would formally like to introduce to you my granddaughter and heiress Rowendaline "Wendy" Rigel Marvell-Potter-Black-Peverell-Le Fae-Emrys" Fleamont introduced before Euphemia removed the necklace around Wendy's neck revealing her Black features
"It's very nice to meet you Mr.Griphook" Wendy greeted as she bowed
"Respectful young lady" Griphook chuckled before he pulled out a piece of parchment with golden borders as well as a beautiful dagger"I see well then to view your holdings ms. Black, three drops of blood on the parchment if you please"
"O-ok," Wendy said before she gave Carla over to her grandmother then took the dagger to prick her finger and let three drops of blood fall onto the parchment
