He proudly brings you things, for example, if we're going with normal circumstances it might be sharing food or finding you a fancy copy of a book you like. On the island, it'd be prey like fish or crabs (I mean he caught a pig, like twice so it'd obviously be something smaller). Honestly, this is more so about him showing how worthy he is of your affection, than him trying to actually give you something
